"Whoosh!"
Rumsshi appeared beneath the Destruction Energy Vegeta had released in an instant.
"Bang!"
Rumsshi slapped it away, sending Vegeta's Destruction Energy flying.
"What are you doing?" Vegeta asked.
"Kid, could you let me finish what I'm saying?" Rumsshi bared his teeth.
"Go ahead," Vegeta said.
"I said this planet is throwing the universe out of balance," Rumsshi replied.
"So I'm going to destroy it," Vegeta said. "Nothing wrong with that, right?"
"What I mean is... this planet can still be salvaged. Just destroy half of it," Rumsshi said with a dark expression. "Couldn't you wait for me to finish before releasing your Destruction Energy?"
"I was only going to destroy half of it. The strength of the Destruction Energy I just used was enough to destroy half the planet. You're the one who stopped me," Vegeta said with a grin.
"You... what did you say?" Rumsshi froze.
"Indeed, Mr. Vegeta's Destruction Energy would have destroyed half the planet and left the other half to develop as it pleased," Kusu analyzed.
Rumsshi: "..."
"Ahem... very good, very good. I commend your ability to apply what you've learned," Rumsshi said with a hearty laugh, unsure what else to say.
"Hurry up and move. I've never destroyed a planet before," Vegeta said, conjuring another sphere of Destruction Energy.
Rumsshi was at a loss for words.
This kid was really going for it...
"Whoosh!"
Vegeta's Destruction Energy hurtled toward the red planet below.
This time, Rumsshi didn't stop him.
On the red planet.
Two gods were guests in the courtyard outside the planet's royal palace.
The Planet Lord was serving them all kinds of food and drink.
"Supreme Kai, please have some tea," the Planet Lord said, presenting the tea with both hands.
"You're too kind," Supreme Kai Gowasu said with a smile. He took the teacup and took a small sip. "Excellent tea. It has a rich, mellow flavor..."
"If you like it, Supreme Kai, please take some with you when you leave," the Planet Lord hurriedly offered.
"Zamasu, you should try some too," Gowasu said, beckoning to his disciple behind him.
"Yes, Master," Zamasu replied with a bow.
The Planet Lord immediately poured Zamasu a cup of tea and presented it to him with both hands.
Zamasu took the teacup and sipped it, but his expression barely changed.
"This is my disciple, Zamasu. In fact, I've been thinking about retiring for a while now. When I do, Zamasu will inherit the position of Supreme Kai," Gowasu told the Planet Lord.
The Planet Lord's attitude toward Zamasu changed by a hundred and eighty degrees at once.
Before, he had thought of him as merely Supreme Kai's underling.
He hadn't realized that Zamasu would become the next Supreme Kai.
The planet's development into what it was today was closely tied to the Supreme Kai's care and support.
"Lord Zamasu, I hope you'll look kindly on me in the future," the Planet Lord said respectfully.
"Hmph. The humans on this planet have been waging wars year after year. Don't think I don't know," Zamasu snorted.
"Well..." The Planet Lord didn't know what to say and broke out in a cold sweat.
"Master, the humans on this planet are constantly at war. These vile humans deserve to be wiped out," Zamasu said to Gowasu.
The Planet Lord shuddered, his expression changing again and again.
"Zamasu, we are Supreme Kais. Our duty is to quietly protect humanity and guide planets toward a better future," Gowasu advised. "Don't say things like that again."
Zamasu fell silent.
"And you," Gowasu said with a helpless sigh, turning to the Planet Lord. "As the Planet Lord, you should do all you can to prevent wars like these. Don't wait until they've become impossible to stop. By then, the planet may face total annihilation."
"Yes... I'll remember that, Supreme Kai," the Planet Lord replied hastily. "But I really didn't start the war. Although I'm the lord of this planet, my authority is limited..."
"Master, what's that?" Zamasu froze and pointed at the purplish-red energy sphere that had appeared in the sky.
Gowasu looked up in that direction as well.
"Th-this energy sphere's color... It looks familiar," Gowasu murmured, gazing at the sky.
"What? What is it?" The Planet Lord suddenly had a bad feeling.
High above the planet.
Vegeta had only just released his Destruction Energy.
"Oh my, oh my... Supreme Kai Gowasu is on the planet," Kusu suddenly said.
"Y-you said what?" Rumsshi's face instantly turned deathly pale.
"That's right. Gowasu is visiting that planet," Kusu replied. "Given the trajectory of the Destruction Energy Vegeta just released, it might land near him."
A million profanities raced through Rumsshi's mind.
"Whoosh!"
Without the slightest hesitation, Rumsshi took a deep breath and let out a muffled sound.
The sound waves roared toward the planet below and quickly caught up with Vegeta's Destruction Energy.
"Crack!"
Rumsshi's ultrasonic wave instantly shattered Vegeta's Destruction Energy.
"Whew..."
Seeing that Vegeta's Destruction Energy had shattered, Rumsshi finally let out the breath he'd been holding.
Thank goodness...
Thank goodness I reacted quickly.
If that old Supreme Kai had died, I would've vanished too.
Why was that old Supreme Kai on this planet?
In the courtyard outside the royal palace below.
"It disappeared..." The Planet Lord stared in bewilderment.
"What happened?" Zamasu was stunned too.
"That energy sphere looked familiar... I feel like I've seen it somewhere before," Gowasu mused.
"Why did it just disappear?" Zamasu frowned.
"It seems another powerful energy struck it and destroyed it," Gowasu analyzed.
"Is someone up there?" Zamasu asked.
"Possibly," Gowasu replied with a nod.
"Hmph. Foolish humans, fighting above the gods!" Zamasu's expression grew even uglier.
High above the planet.
Vegeta had released two energy spheres in a row, and Rumsshi had stopped them both.
Vegeta was getting annoyed.
What the hell!
Are you going to keep this up forever?
Vegeta snorted. He took his hands out of his pockets and abruptly raised both arms.
