Terrifying Power! Frieza Force Energy Weapons

Emperor had once said that the Adeptus Custodes were his most formidable guardians, beings far surpassing the Space Marines. Since that was the case, he wanted to see just how capable these golden-armored warriors truly were.

In any case, back on Fenris, whenever Axis used this device for hunting, practically no prey could withstand a single shot from it.

"Is this some kind of energy weapon?" Emperor asked.

"Yes, Father! I discovered this gun on that spaceship," Leman Russ replied.

"To test its power, there is no need for my Adeptus Custodes. Let us head to the firing range and test it against some xenos," Emperor commanded.

The primary weapons currently used by humanity—specifically the infantry of the Imperial Army—were lasguns, while the Space Marines were equipped with bolters, melta weapons, and plasma weapons.

For melee combat, they relied on monofilament daggers, chainswords, power swords, power axes, power claws, and power hammers.

A new type of energy-beam weapon was of significant importance to the Imperium, and the subsequent demonstrations could easily be conducted within the training grounds.

Soon, the group followed Emperor to the training grounds, where two Adeptus Custodes emerged carrying a large crate. From within the massive container came a series of hisses; a two-and-a-half-meter-tall, pitch-black creature with an exoskeleton, resembling a humanoid insect, was being held inside.

Axis tapped his Scouter and discovered that the target's combat power was a staggering 52, more than enough to instantly kill an ordinary human.

Even if it were to encounter an Astartes, it could at least put up a fight.

However, the final outcome would undoubtedly be its destruction, as beyond raw combat power, the superhuman organs and wargear of an Astartes were not merely for show.

According to Axis's estimation, an Astartes in power armor could at least contend with enemies possessing a combat power of 140 to 180.

"This is a vile xeno we discovered while conquering a planet. They are covered in thick exoskeletal plating and possess immense strength, even rivaling an Astartes. Let us use it to test the weapon's power!" Emperor declared.

Leman Russ nodded and tossed the energy weapon in his hand directly to Axis.

"Go on, my little Wolf Cub, blow it away with a single shot," Russ said.

Axis nodded, mounted the energy gun onto his arm, and took aim at the black humanoid insect monster before him.

The Adeptus Custodes nearby opened the cage, and the black insectoid monster let out a hiss before charging directly at Emperor and his retinue.

Axis decisively raised his arm, aimed, and fired.

Zzzzt!

A yellow bolt of energy erupted from the gun and struck the black insectoid creature dead center. The moment of impact caused the creature to explode instantly, reduced to a mass of shredded flesh.

The monster, which had charged less than ten meters, was dead beyond any doubt, leaving behind nothing but a pile of black, fleshy remains on the ground.

The power was indeed impressive; one had to realize that if a standard Space Marine were to fire a bolter at this creature, a full magazine would only be enough to leave it severely wounded.

Usually, one would still need to use a chainsword to sever its head to secure victory, yet this weapon could allow even a common soldier of the Imperial Army to instantly kill such a monster.

"The power exceeds that of bolter weapons, lasguns, standard melta weapons, and plasma weapons. The firing rate is extremely high, and for its size and power, the Imperium has no weapon that can rival it. Can it fire in bursts? Can the magazine be replaced? And what is it powered by?" a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus tasked with recording the data asked.

"It can certainly fire in bursts. There is no magazine; it only requires a single energy cell to fire 1,000 times. The battery is nuclear-powered," Axis explained.

The standard-issue energy weapons of the Frieza Force were quite remarkable; anything with a combat power under 200 would essentially be one-shotted by a direct hit.

The masterpiece of this weapon line was the one that Future Trunks had swatted away with a palm strike before sneaking an attack on Super Saiyan Blue Goku—though one could only say that Goku had been far too reckless at the time!

"Test it again! Release ten more Xeno-T0311s, and release one of the leaders as well," Emperor ordered.

Upon receiving the command, the Adeptus Custodes immediately entered the rear of the firing range and pushed out eleven massive cages; the Imperial firing range held a vast number of xenos.

Their combat power was generally above 50, and there was even a beetle-man over three meters tall with a combat power reaching 105.

Once the cages were opened, some of the black humanoid insect xenos charged toward the nearby Adeptus Custodes, while the one with a combat power of 105 led several others in a direct assault on Emperor himself.

Axis raised his gun, aimed at the xenos, and decisively pulled the trigger.

Zzzzt! Zzzzt! Zzzzt!

Bang! Bang! Bang! As the yellow energy bolts struck the xenos, they exploded instantly; a single bolt could even shatter two beetle-men standing close together.

In just a few seconds, only the three-meter-tall xeno with a combat power of 105 remained.

Axis switched the weapon from single-shot mode to beam mode. A yellow beam of light shot out, instantly piercing through the xeno and continuing on to leave a deep hole in the wall behind it.

"This weapon has two firing modes: single-shot and beam-ray. The beam-ray is equivalent to a charged shot; the longer it is held, the greater the power, but it is limited to five seconds before the energy gun overheats," Axis explained.

"A fine weapon. This will be very useful to the Imperium, and very useful for humanity's Great Crusade," Emperor nodded with great satisfaction.

If this thing were used against an Astartes, even with the protection of power armor, it would likely be a one-shot kill!

This powerful energy weapon reminded Emperor of a terrifying species he had encountered long ago: the green metallic skeletons.

Their green ray weapons could even decompose life itself.

This energy weapon could be handed over to the Adeptus Mechanicus for reverse-engineering and replication.

Then, it could be issued first to the Adeptus Custodes, and subsequently to the Astartes. If it could be mass-produced on a large scale, the bolter weapons could be redistributed to the regular Imperial Army!

"The Martian Adeptus Mechanicus can attempt to replicate this energy weapon," a Tech-Priest stated.

"Russ! Are you willing to hand this gun over to the Mechanicus for replication?" Emperor asked.

"Of course, but once this weapon is mass-produced, we Space Wolves must receive them for free, and half of the future profits from sales must be handed over to us," Russ replied.

Even if he gave it away, he had to secure the intellectual property rights—this was what the little Wolf Cub had told him, and he wouldn't let these Mechanicus people take advantage of him.
