Origins

Neos was born to ordinary human parents and is a Perpetual whose body continually evolved to accommodate his immense soul. His familiar giant form was a Psykic disguise rather than his natural appearance. 152 227

In earlier ages, he defeated and sealed the Void Dragon beneath Mars, joined the Golden Men during humanity's Golden Age, entered the Warp, and deceived the Four Chaos Gods to obtain knowledge used in creating the Primarchs. 256

Discovery of Axis

The Emperor first encountered Axis on Fenris, where he immediately identified the Saiyan child as physically exceptional and genetically compatible with humanity. He viewed Axis's lack of Psykic fluctuations as an advantage, since Ki did not expose its user to Chaos in the way Warp-based power could. 7 8 28

When Leman Russ challenged him, the Emperor accepted Axis as Russ's proxy in a sparring match. Axis could not breach the Emperor's Psykic defenses, but the Emperor recognized the child's extraordinary fighting spirit and potential. 9 10

He subsequently studied Axis's biology, identifying S-Cells, the Great Ape gene, and Ki. Concluding that Axis could become an invaluable safeguard against Chaos, he planned Primarch-level augmentation and a specialized brain core to control Axis's transformations. 28 34 35

Family and the Great Crusade

The Emperor accepted Leman Russ as his son and approved the formation of the Space Wolves during the Great Crusade. He also took a strong interest in the Dragon Ball-derived technology recovered by Russ and Axis, particularly Scouters, Saiyan armor, spatial technology, and faster-than-light spacecraft. 16 20 23 24

After Axis married Kaisa, the Emperor revealed his true name and natural appearance to him—knowledge previously limited to Erda, Kaisa, and Malcador. He permitted Axis to address him as “Father,” recognizing him as family. 138 152

Ki Evolution and the Golden Throne

Axis spent a decade transferring Ki to the Emperor. The energy healed old damage, repaired genetic corruption, and pushed the Emperor's body beyond its former human limits; the completed evolution raised his physical ability threefold. 153 154

Despite this improvement, the Emperor foresaw his eventual fall and the birth of the Dark King. He retained most of Axis's Ki as a reserve, intending to sit upon the Golden Throne and delay the Dark King's emergence long enough for Axis to become strong enough to oppose it. 155 157

Following his final battle with Horus, the Emperor accepted that his injuries could not be healed normally. He entered stasis upon the Golden Throne, appointed Roboute Guilliman as Imperial Regent, and named Axis the “King Who Stands Beside the Throne,” exempt from Guilliman's command. 293 295

Ascension

After more than five hundred years on the Golden Throne, the Emperor consumed the God Fruit prepared for him by Axis. He became a Grand Supreme Kai, gained the authority to create life and celestial bodies, broke his connection to the Dark King, and rose from the throne that had once confined him. 425

He later accompanied Axis to a parallel future, where he confronted the Dark King obstructing the revival of his ten-thousand-year-later counterpart. 430 431

Neos's true body is that of an ordinary-looking middle-aged man approximately 1.8–1.9 meters tall. He commonly projects himself as an imposing golden giant, often exceeding four meters in height, to embody the image of humanity's savior. 152 227
