Traveling through the Warp seems no different from traveling through realspace. While Warp travel is indeed perilous, a high-performance human spaceship, aided by the Astronomican of Holy Terra, can effectively ward off the horrors of the Warp.
What's more, this ship carries a big boss on board! Emperor of Mankind, the alter ego of the Dark King!
The ship housing the Emperor can be called the safest vessel in the Warp—there is no "one of the," it is simply the safest. Which demon would be foolish enough to dare board it?
Safety levels are maxed out!
The combat power of a Super Saiyan is off the charts, and their survival rate in the universe is higher than that of an Earthling, though not by much; prolonged exposure to the vacuum of space still means certain death.
Even the legendary Super Saiyan Broly, after being pummeled into the sun by the Son Family, was dead as dead could be!
In this regard, the Frieza clan is slightly better off. Their King survived a planetary explosion, and his brother Cooler was knocked into the surface of a sun and still didn't die.
But if you were to knock the Emperor of Mankind into a sun, you'd see whether or not you could kill him. The constitution of a Perpetual will teach you a lesson.
The abilities of a Perpetual in the Warhammer universe are quite bugged; even if their body is reduced to a molecular state, they can still resurrect. This immortality is even more ridiculous than Majin Buu!
Saiyans have formidable offensive power, but compared to these freaks, their defense is like fragile glass.
"Come, Axis. I need to draw some of your blood to perform some tests on your body," the Emperor said as he approached Axis.
He usually does not participate in the surgical procedures for creating new Adeptus Custodes. Before the unification of Holy Terra, he used his own knowledge and immense psychic power to recruit a large group of bio-alchemists.
The technology mastered by these bio-alchemists, combined with the biological technology he obtained from the Golden Men during the Dark Age of Technology, became the template for the current Adeptus Custodes.
Every Custodian's surgery is custom-tailored, and the Emperor intends to design a personal plan for Axis.
"Mm, alright!" Axis nodded and followed the Emperor into a secret laboratory. Emperor then picked up a small syringe, drew some of Axis's blood, and began a comprehensive analysis.
Axis sat to the side, watching curiously as the Emperor performed various examinations on him.
Based on the blood results, body, and skull structure, the Emperor was certain that Axis was undoubtedly human, as his cells could integrate with human cells, meaning there was no reproductive isolation.
The more the Emperor analyzed Axis's genes, the more shocked he became. This child's potential was invincible!
It was as if he were a race born for battle, living for battle. This child was a natural warrior, with the genes of a warrior carved into his very DNA.
Within the child's cells, there was a batch of very special golden cells containing an astonishing amount of energy.
It felt like an extremely ancient form of genetic power, though these cells were pitifully scarce—there was only a tiny amount within Axis's body!
If the energy of these special cells were to be ignited, it should be able to increase Axis's strength dozens of times over in an instant.
Unfortunately, the number of these special energy cells was quite low, and they could not self-replicate normally. Relying on these cells to trigger a transformation would be extremely difficult.
According to the Emperor's estimation, the special cells in Axis's body would need to increase by at least several hundred times.
Only then would they reach a certain critical threshold to produce a qualitative change. When customizing the genetic enhancement, he might be able to put some effort into these special cells, finding a way to stimulate them so they would divide more.
He could use cell-enhancement alchemy to increase the number of these special cells in the child's body.
Furthermore, there was an unknown gene in his body, somewhat similar to the Great Ape on Earth—also a primate, but this gene was far more violent.
Emperor had once used his psychic power to observe the past of the planet Fenris and had discovered his transformation into a Great Ape during his battle with Leman Russ, so he was aware of this power to transform into a Great Ape.
A tenfold increase is indeed terrifying; if he hadn't helped Russ remotely with his psychic power at the time, Russ truly wouldn't have been able to defeat the Great Ape the boy had become.
This Great Ape power seemed to resonate with the special cells in Axis's body. Combined, the two should be able to produce even more violent power.
However, whether it was the power of the Great Ape or the special golden cells, both would likely affect Axis's sanity, causing him to fall into a frenzy or even mindless combat.
Therefore, Axis's brain would also need to be reinforced, and he would need to be fitted with a special brain core to help him better control the transformation power—he would use the one from the Primarchs.
It could also resist the erosion of Warp energy; that would have to be added as well.
The transformation produced by these special golden cells, as well as the Great Ape form, consumed a massive amount of energy. That was why the boy's appetite was so terrifying—every cell in his body was craving energy. His food intake should be calculated based on his Great Ape state.
Therefore, he would also need to install a life-energy furnace in his body, something every Adeptus Custodes possessed.
It would allow the Custodians to fight for months without sleep, providing a steady supply of powerful energy, and they would only need a few hours of rest to fully recover their strength. It would also accelerate bodily regeneration, heal wounds, and provide ample biological energy.
Beyond that, every cell in Axis's body contained an unknown energy. This must be the white energy that Axis had mastered.
Although that unknown white energy was not as flexible or versatile as psychic power, it had the advantage of being safer than psychic power—at the very least, it wouldn't turn him into a Warp gate, allowing Chaos demons to crawl out from within.
Moreover, this white energy was highly destructive; the Emperor had witnessed the destructive power of this energy firsthand during his previous battle with Axis.
However, aside from its destructive power, the Emperor felt that this energy was not all that violent; rather, it felt like a form of life energy.
"Axis, can you tell me about your Ki?" the Emperor asked while continuing to examine Axis's body.
"Sure. Ki is a form of life energy produced by every cell in my body. I don't know the exact principle myself," Axis said vaguely.
"Hmm! Can you demonstrate the power of that Ki once more? Gather this power in your palm so I can observe it," the Emperor said.
Axis nodded and gathered a white ball of Ki the size of an apple in his palm.
