Axis stared at the Emperor in shock. Could his ki do that too? Enhance a Primarch's physical abilities!

Russ had actually grown stronger because of him. When Russ had first found him, his combat power had been 1,600, but now it had risen to nearly 2,000.

Primarchs' physical abilities stopped improving once they reached adulthood. The Emperor couldn't possibly be wrong about that—he was the one who had created them.

And the power of ki in the Dragon Ball World really could enhance a living being's physical abilities. When Kid Goku first appeared, he could take bullets to the body without any trouble.

Beyond the Saiyans' natural defenses, the power of ki was part of the reason. The life forms in this world couldn't absorb ki, but when it flowed through their bodies,

it nourished their cells and bodies, effectively enhancing their physical abilities.

So could his ki keep strengthening someone's body indefinitely, or was there a limit?

"Your power is truly remarkable. That's enough for today.

"When I have time, I'll find someone else to test you. Caesar, take him to rest," the Emperor said. (The Custodians were all named after historical figures.)

Today's tests had already yielded plenty of data. The boy could get a good night's rest.

Though there was no concept of time in the Warp, the ship still simulated gravity, night, and day. These were special accommodations aboard the Emperor's Dream.

"Understood, Emperor. I'll go get some rest, then." Axis nodded and followed a Custodian guard to his private quarters.

After Axis entered the room, the Custodian guard didn't leave. He simply stood motionless outside the door.

Axis glanced at the Custodian standing guard outside his door and twitched his mouth. Even a Primarch probably didn't get this kind of treatment. A Custodian was guarding his door!

Axis rested for a while, and soon a group of Servitors wheeled in a huge amount of food—enough for dozens of people.

The Emperor knew about Axis's appetite. The kid ate even more than Russ. He had to be treated like a monster over twenty meters tall; his cells craved far too much energy.

After enjoying a hearty meal, Axis greeted the Custodian standing guard at the door, then flopped onto the bed and fell asleep.

Watching Axis sleep, the Custodian guard furrowed his brow. Ordinary Custodians didn't get this kind of assignment!

What was so extraordinary about this boy that the Emperor valued him so highly?

The night passed without incident. When Axis woke early the next morning, the Custodian guard came over to tell him that the Emperor was too busy to see him today.

The Master of Mankind was a very busy man. He had already put aside many other matters to spend an entire day examining Axis yesterday.

Axis was free to make his own plans today. If he needed anything, he could tell the guard.

After thinking it over, Axis asked the Custodian guard to take him to the Training Room. How could he possibly spend an entire day cooped up in his room?

The Custodian nodded and led Axis to the Training Room aboard the Emperor's Dream—the same place where he, Russ, and the Emperor had tested the Saiyan weapons.

"I can't train without a suitable opponent, can I?" Axis turned to the Custodian beside him.

The Custodians' combat power generally ranged from 1,100 to 1,200.

His own combat power had now passed 700. With the Saiyans' powerful physiques and the boost from ki, Axis felt he ought to test himself against a Custodian.

The Custodian looked at Axis in slight surprise. Was the kid really asking to spar with him? Wasn't he getting a little too full of himself?

"I can bring over some training Servitors. The gap between us is too great. You wouldn't stand a chance against me," the Custodian guard said.

"No, no! I like fighting opponents who are evenly matched with me, or a little stronger. The stronger, the better." Axis loosened up in the Training Ground, then beckoned the Custodian in front of him with a finger.

What a waste to have a golden corn cob standing guard for him! He had to put him to good use.

"You're sure you want to fight me?" The Emperor had ordered him to protect the boy closely and meet his basic needs. If the boy wanted to fight, he didn't seem to have any reason to refuse.

"Stop talking and bring it on," Axis said.

"Fine!" The Custodian guard nodded, set his golden Power Weapon aside, then summoned a squad of Servitors to remove his golden power armor.

Wearing only a black undersuit, he loosened up and stood before Axis.

Now Axis could clearly see the face of the Custodian who had stood guard for him all day: a bald giant, three meters and ten centimeters tall.

Axis took a deep breath. Ki began to flow inside him, and a faint blue aura shimmered around his body, wrapping him in a veil of energy.

Custodian Caesar narrowed his eyes slightly. He could feel a strange energy rippling through the air, a power he had never encountered before.

This might actually be interesting. Should he hold back a little, or not?

"Ready?"

"Come on!" Caesar's voice was low and powerful. His muscles bulged beneath the black undersuit, like a beast poised to pounce.

Axis smiled faintly, leaned forward, and took a fighting stance.

Caesar said no more. His figure vanished in an instant, moving too fast for the eye to follow.

But Axis's senses had long surpassed the limits of sight. By tracking the flow of ki, he pinpointed Caesar's attack with precision.

"Left!" Axis thought, quickly shifting aside. Caesar's massive fist grazed his clothes, stirring a gust of wind.

A flicker of surprise crossed Caesar's eyes, but he didn't let up. He immediately swept a kick toward Axis's waist. Axis lightly pushed off with both feet and leaped like a feather, evading the blow.

Axis flipped in midair and landed steadily, a confident smile on his lips. After sparring with Russ for so long, they shouldn't underestimate him.

Caesar snorted and attacked again, his punches fiercer than before, each one accompanied by a whistle that tore through the air.

Yet Axis moved like a fish in water, slipping effortlessly through the gaps in Caesar's attacks. Every so often, he struck back with such speed that Caesar had to retreat.

That kid's reflexes... They're unbelievable! And he's got plenty of combat experience, too.
