Testing Physical Strength, Transcendent Power

There were some things he truly could not explain in detail to Axis; the Gene-seed was extracted directly from the bodies of the Primarchs.

It might seem to have nothing to do with the Warp, but because the very essence of a Primarch originates from the properties of the Warp, the Gene-seed possesses certain miraculous qualities.

First, those implanted with the Gene-seed develop an innate sense of closeness to their genetic father; unless their will is exceptionally strong, the commands of their genetic father are, to them, the will of a god.

All genetic progeny will unconditionally execute the orders of their Primarch. If a Primarch were to betray the Imperium, his Gene-seed would no longer be safe.

The entire Legion would have to be purged! This was the Emperor's unavoidable course of action.

"I understand, Teacher! Then when can I return to the Space Wolves? My father must have been waiting for me for a long time!" Axis asked.

He could not ask the Emperor, but he could ask his teacher, Malcador, when he would be able to return to the Space Wolves and rejoin Leman Russ.

"You will see your father and return to his side soon enough. For now, focus on completing this mission; do not concern yourself with other matters," Malcador replied.

In truth, Leman Russ had also been assigned to this mission. Emperor's original plan was to have Leman Russ lead the Space Wolves to purge the second Primarch and his Legion.

The reason he sent Axis there was to give them both a surprise, without informing either of the other's presence. Once this mission concluded, Axis would return to the Space Wolves.

He would remain there until the day he understood the terrifying threat of the Warp, at which point he would proactively seek out the Emperor and Malcador himself.

Axis's potential was immense, and the power of Ki was impossible to replicate. The spare incubation tank beside Axis was actually used to cultivate clones of him. Although the clones could not generate Ki, they were at least warriors on par with an Adeptus Custodes.

This cloning experiment allowed the Emperor to truly understand the extent of Axis's potential and the importance of the power of Ki.

The clone's initial development had been quite good, but no Ki was generated within its body. Its cells even began to show signs of rejection, as if they would wither away without the nourishment of Ki energy.

The clone never even developed into a sentient life form; it was merely a twisted biological entity resembling Axis, barely surviving within the incubation tank.

Without the nutrient solution of the tank, it would have died immediately upon contact with the outside world due to the lack of Ki energy.

Upon discovering this, the Emperor and Malcador decisively destroyed the clone and used the incubation tank to create other things.

It was this experiment that convinced the two of them that Axis was irreplaceable, and that his future utility would be no less than that of a Primarch.

Therefore, the Emperor and Malcador were deeply concerned with Axis's growth. Simply telling him about the Chaos Entities of the Warp might not have much effect, so they intended to let the boy experience the horror of the Warp's Chaos Entities for himself.

"I understand, Teacher. I will listen to you and obey the Emperor's commands," Axis said.

Let's set a small goal first: becoming a Super Saiyan! Axis felt his body was currently brimming with power.

In the time that followed, Axis began various rehabilitation exercises. After one day, he could walk normally; after two days, he could run.

In just ten days, Axis had gained complete control over his new body; he could fly through the air and fire Ki Blasts.

His current height had reached 2.1 meters, making him a large specimen among Saiyans, only slightly shorter than Nappa and Broly!

Axis felt a slight regret regarding his height, but also a hint of secret joy. Being over 3 meters tall was indeed imposing, but it came with many drawbacks.

For instance, finding a partner of compatible size was a difficult task! He had no intention of remaining a bachelor for life like the other Adeptus Custodes and Primarchs.

"Teacher, how strong is the defensive capability of my skin?" Axis asked.

After ten days of training, Axis clearly felt that his body was incredibly resilient; his defensive capabilities were off the charts.

"I am quite curious myself. While I have a rough estimate, let us put it to the test!" Malcador said.

Axis nodded, and the two headed to the armory.

Malcador brought out a standard New World Lasgun, a Bolter Rifle, and a massive Bolter used by the Space Marines.

In addition, there was a Plasma Gun, a Melta Weapon, the latest energy weapons, a power sword, and a chainsword.

The first test was the Lasgun. After the red laser struck him, Axis felt absolutely nothing; it didn't even leave a mark on his skin.

Malcador nodded with satisfaction and then picked up a standard Bolter Rifle to fire at Axis.

Following a series of bang-bang-bang sounds, Axis felt as if grains of sand were hitting him. There was no significant sensation, and the bullets all deformed and fell to the ground.

Next, they switched to the Bolter weapon used by Space Marines. Axis felt as if his body had been struck by rubber bullets, but beyond that, he felt nothing—not even redness or swelling on his skin.

Then, Malcador used the Melta Weapon on Axis. Facing this weapon capable of generating extreme heat, Axis did not lower his guard and deployed a layer of Ki defense over his body.

The terrifying Ki, like raging flames, enveloped Axis's body, and a thread of green energy took shape, forming a protective barrier around him.

This protective barrier made of Ki left Axis pleasantly surprised. This was a technique Broly had used in the movie—an innate ability of a Super Saiyan. His body was indeed evolving toward the Legendary Super Saiyan state.

"Is this a protective barrier made of Ki? Similar to a Psykic Power barrier." Malcador curiously reached out to touch the green shield, but the moment he made contact, he was violently repelled.

He felt a terrifyingly immense force, as if he had been swatted away by an invisible giant hand.

After using this technique, Axis suddenly felt a terrifying rage rising from the depths of his heart—an uncontrollable, frenzied fury.

"Ah! Ah!"
