Hours later, the Second Primarch's brain had been completely repaired. It was as good as new, without even a scar on his head.
Axis's experiment had been a great success. After his ki had shifted to a gentler nature, its healing ability had proved quite effective. It couldn't heal instantly like Shun's, but it could still slowly mend injuries.
And he had only just developed this ability. It still had tremendous potential to grow.
"Now that's what I'm talking about, my little Wolf Cub. You really didn't disappoint me." Leman Russ patted Axis on the shoulder, his face full of delight.
This mission had been incredibly grim. They'd been expected to kill a brother, a Primarch of the Imperium. But now that the Primarch had been healed, Russ wouldn't have to lose a brother, and the Imperium wouldn't lose a Primarch.
Losing a Primarch would have been a tremendous blow to the Imperium. It would be like losing an entire Legiones Astartes!
He'd never expected that the Wolf Cub he'd picked up would have healing powers too. His ki wasn't purely destructive.
It was actually a little like Psykic Power. Who knew what other tricks Axis might develop in the future?
"I can't save the Second Legion's warriors who were controlled by the Rangdan Xenos. I've only just begun experimenting with this ability," Axis said.
Thankfully, his test subject had been a Primarch, who possessed humanity's most incredible healing and endurance. If Axis had tried this on an ordinary Astartes, the man might have died from the torture inflicted by that terrifying alien machine before Axis could finish healing him.
"Doesn't matter. As long as the Primarch survives, the Legion survives. Besides, a few hundred warriors made it through. Once we bring them back, they can serve as the Second
