"Is there something funny? My name is Emperor. You may address me as such from now on, or you may call me Father," Emperor said, his tone calm yet carrying an unquestionable majesty.
Wolf King Leman Russ sat upon his throne, a playful smirk on his lips as he looked at this man who claimed to be his biological father, the Master of Mankind, and Emperor.
"It is indeed quite funny! I am the king here, yet you demand that the king of this place kneel to you, and you claim to be my father? My father is dead! Before he died, he passed the position of tribal chieftain to me, and I led the warriors of the tribe to conquer this entire planet, becoming the Wolf King of this world," Leman Russ retorted without a hint of courtesy.
"That was merely your adoptive father, just like the child before you—not of your own blood. I am your true biological father. You are my genetic progeny, and my blood flows through your veins." Emperor's tone remained calm, yet every word seemed to carry the weight of a thousand tons.
"Heh! And so what? Should I weep and kneel before you, then call you Father? And should you also weep, embrace me, and call me son?" Leman Russ sneered, his tone dripping with mockery.
"That is not necessary. However, I am launching a Great Crusade to save humanity, a campaign that may last for centuries, millennia, or even longer. I need you to join this Great Crusade; it is the very reason you were born." Emperor's tone remained calm, but his words revealed an irresistible power.
"Hahaha! The Human Emperor, is it? Turn left at the door and get lost. I have no interest in participating in your so-called Great Crusade." Leman Russ waved his hand, his tone filled with disdain.
Spending every day with his Wolf Brothers, sparring with his little Wolf Cubs, and hunting with the warriors of the tribe—this was the life he yearned for. He was living well now and had absolutely no interest in joining any Great Crusade, let alone serving as someone else's subordinate.
"Regrettably, the choice is not yours. After the Great Crusade concludes, you may return here and live the life you desire. But that must come only after the human race has been saved." Emperor's tone remained calm, but his words revealed an unquestionable resolve.
Before the words had even faded, Emperor threw back his cloak to reveal a suit of magnificent golden armor. His physique appeared even more majestic and towering than when he was wrapped in his robes, and a powerful surge of energy radiated from him, instantly forcing everyone present to their knees.
The only ones who did not kneel and remained standing were Wolf King Leman Russ and Axis.
Emperor cast an interested glance at Axis, feeling slightly surprised. This child's body was incredibly strong! Even an ordinary Astartes would struggle under the psychic pressure he was projecting, yet this child could stand before him.
At this moment, Axis was not having an easy time. He felt his mind descending into Chaos, as if he were about to lose his will entirely. He gritted his teeth and channeled his Ki with all his might, filling his body with its power, which allowed him to barely maintain his consciousness, though his forehead was already drenched in cold sweat.
Deep within his soul, a Great Ape seemed to be roaring madly, as if it had been provoked! This roaring power completely dispelled Emperor's psychic pressure.
"What is the meaning of this? If you want to fight, I will accompany you to the end." Leman Russ stood in front of Axis, his gaze fixed like a torch upon the golden-armored man. He felt a terrifying pressure emanating from the man, as if the stranger could knock him down or even kill him in a single instant.
"I merely made them unable to move; I have not harmed them, so you may rest easy. However, this adopted son of yours has made me look at him with new eyes! I admit I underestimated him before." Emperor looked at Axis, his tone carrying a hint of admiration. He did not sense any psychic fluctuations from the child, meaning he was not a psyker. This was a good thing; while psychic power was potent, it was difficult to control and could easily be exploited by Chaos. For a physical body to be this strong was truly rare. It seemed that, beyond finding his son, there might be an unexpected gain this time.
"We Fenrisians have a tradition: when a disagreement arises and neither side can convince the other, we hold three trials. If you can defeat me, I will listen to you. Conversely, if I defeat you, you must leave this place," Leman Russ said, his tone laced with provocation.
"You wish to challenge me? Very well, what shall the trials be?" Emperor smiled slightly.
"The three things we Fenrisians love most: eating, drinking, and wrestling," Leman Russ said with confidence. When it came to drinking, he was the undisputed number one on the entire planet. Perhaps this kid Axis could beat him when he grew up, but for now, he was still the best. As for eating, the kid was the most impressive, and as for fighting, he still had some confidence. Over the past half-year of sparring with the boy, not only had the kid's combat power grown, but his own had improved as well.
Emperor smiled at these words and accepted Russ's terms. The surrounding tribe members regained their ability to move and immediately began preparing food; moments later, a mountain of provisions was laid out before them.
The result of the first trial went without saying; the Human Emperor lost to Russ in eating, unsurprisingly. Emperor had consumed less than a third of what Russ had eaten. Having won once, Leman Russ wore a triumphant expression. This stranger didn't seem as formidable as he had imagined.
For the second trial, the tribal warriors brought out large barrels of Mead. Emperor sat at the table, picked up a cup of Mead, smiled at Axis, and drank it. Meanwhile, Leman Russ grabbed an entire barrel and poured it madly into his mouth. By the time Emperor had finished his second cup, Leman Russ had already polished off three full barrels of Mead.
"Hahaha! It seems I have won this trial as well." Leman Russ threw the barrel to the ground, seemingly certain of his victory.
"Russ, don't be careless!" Axis couldn't help but speak up to warn him. Seriously, you're going to be beaten into calling him 'Father' in a moment! I wonder how strong the Human Emperor's combat power is when converted to the Dragon Ball World's scale!
"Hahaha! Don't worry, my little Wolf Cub, this stranger is nothing special. I think even you could beat him—why don't you take my place for the third trial?" Leman Russ was clearly quite drunk by now.
Axis: "..."
Damn it! Me, fight Emperor? Are you kidding me!
