Fang Cheng usually ate quickly, but never as fast as he did today.

Kanzaki Rin had only just slurped up a few mouthfuls of udon noodles when Fang Cheng had already polished off his entire bowl, broth and all, and wolfed down the grilled squid and takoyaki.

The person in the car wore a baseball cap, sunglasses, and a mask, wrapped in a thick coat; even the hands gripping the steering wheel were covered in gloves.

Both Fang Cheng and Kanzaki Rin expected to see a bloody feeding scene, but the vampire simply grabbed her and headed deep into the warehouse.

The drone followed from a distance, not daring to get too close; even with its noise-cancellation and optical camouflage, there was a high risk of being detected by the vampire's keen senses.

The vampire dragged the high school girl along, grabbed two large bags of food from the back seat of the sedan, and arrived at a locked room inside the warehouse.

He fished a key from his pocket, opened the door, tossed the high school girl and the two bags of food inside, and then stepped in himself before locking the door behind him.

In the few seconds the door was open, the footage transmitted back by the drone revealed a group of people crowded inside the room.

Fang Cheng and Kanzaki Rin exchanged glances.

They had assumed the vampire was just grabbing a random high school girl as a snack.

They hadn't expected him to be keeping people in captivity, playing at a sustainable food supply.

Less than two minutes later, the vampire emerged from the room, dragging a female corpse behind him.

The corpse appeared to be a college student; her skin was a sickly, pale, and wrinkled mess, clearly drained of all her blood.

The vampire dragged the body outside the warehouse and dumped it into a nearby sewer, not even bothering to hide it.
