After the competition for the Lord of Ten Thousand Monsters began, Kanzaki Rin found Ye Yuqing fighting a horde of Kappas and rode on her back toward Machine City. Outside the city, Asaka Akie discovered that it was surrounded by hordes of enormous, evil-looking Monsters.

• Kanzaki Rin awoke beneath an aurora in a transformed Hokkaido and realized the competition had begun and separated her from Ye Yuqing and her brother.
• Kanzaki Rin found Ye Yuqing battling black Kappas by a river and helped her burn them away.
• Kanzaki Rin pulled Ye Yuqing away from the river, climbed onto her back, and directed her to fly toward Machine City.
• Asaka Akie found herself outside Machine City after the world changed and heard Izanae warn her to watch the area beyond the city.
• Asaka Akie flew out to investigate and saw the plain filled with huge, black-skinned Monsters with glowing red eyes.

Asaka Akie contained the monsters rampaging through Machine City and sent Tsukikage Hatsuka to contact the Ark spacecraft while she prepared to defend the city from the approaching horde. Meanwhile, Qingxue and the Nine-Tailed Fox found themselves stranded in the wilderness, where they spotted a gourd.

• Asaka Akie flew through Machine City and used Izanae's power to trap the rampaging monsters in illusions.
• Asaka Akie and Takeda Masumi realized the Lord of Ten Thousand Monsters contest had begun, and Asaka Akie asked Tsukikage Hatsuka to contact the Ark spacecraft in Uchiura Bay.

Fang Cheng met the mysterious Li Yu in a strange, monster-filled realm and took shelter with her when night fell. As Li Yu guarded her identity and ignored his questions, Fang Cheng tried to coax information from her by tempting her with snacks and drinks.

• Fang Cheng introduced himself as Liu Lin and learned that Li Yu had come to compete for Lord of Ten Thousand Monsters, though she claimed not to be human or a Monster.
• Li Yu displayed extraordinary abilities, vanished and reappeared over great distances, and warned Fang Cheng to hide when darkness fell.

• Fang Cheng discovered that Li Yu’s game console could transform into her Proof, though Li Yu said it could only become inanimate objects and could not explain Ugou Mirai.
• Fang Cheng sensed an approaching enemy, and the ground shook as the Kraken burst up from beneath the ruins.
• Li Yu flew into the air and struck the Kraken with repeated bolts of lightning, while Fang Cheng recognized her abilities as unlike powers he had seen before.

• Oni Yunjie ordered the defenders to conserve artillery fire, keep flying sorties, and fight with blades when their ammunition ran out, refusing to ask Fang Cheng for help.
• An underground ant monster reported the battle to Alcmene, who decided to wait until Iron-Cast Palace exhausted its manpower before attacking for its million units of raw material.
• Asaka Akie, Takeda Masumi, Sato Hayato, and others continued defending Machine City despite more than ten hours of fighting and severe exhaustion.

Asaka Akie and Izanae fought Ghost Cultivation Mountain to keep it from reaching Machine City, but their attack only briefly knocked it down. As the monster resumed its advance and threatened the city, two fiery figures arrived and one transformed into a Fire Phoenix that charged it.

• Asaka Akie invaded Ghost Cultivation Mountain's mind, discovered it was insane, and failed to control it.
• Asaka Akie asked Izanae to descend despite the danger, and Izanae's radiance caused hundreds of thousands of Black-Skinned Monsters to collapse.
• Izanae shot Ghost Cultivation Mountain with a light arrow, but its Hurricane blew her away and sent Asaka Akie crashing toward Machine City.

After Fang Cheng’s Spaceship crippled the giant turtle with its laser cannon, Fang Cheng found fissures inside its rocky body and began destroying it from within.

• Kanzaki Rin returned to Machine City, where Takeda Masumi praised Asaka Akie for holding the front line and saving the city.
• Kanzaki Rin and Ye Yuqing attacked Ghost Cultivation Mountain, but it resisted their strongest moves and continued toward Machine City.
