Amid a barrage of explosions, countless soldiers were blasted to pieces!
Although there were a hundred times as many soldiers as Gohan and the others, their quality was simply too poor. Everyone there was a fighter who could take on a hundred opponents alone. Even so, these soldiers seemed impossible to kill, and they gradually wore down the Z Fighters!
Seeing that his friends were struggling to hold out, how could Gohan stand by? He powered up and transformed into a Super Saiyan! In an instant, his ki surged!
With a cold expression, Gohan held out his palm toward the soldiers and fired a laser blast, killing and wounding a great many of them in an instant!
Meanwhile, Piccolo was locked in an even fight with the Ox-Demon Soldier. Without hesitation, Gohan flashed right in front of his opponent! He didn't attack, simply fixing his gaze on him.
"Damn brat!! Die!!" the Ox-Demon Soldier roared furiously, then threw a powerful punch at Gohan!
Whoosh!
But the Ox-Demon's punch struck nothing but air!
Gohan appeared behind him, then brought down a hand chop. The Ox-Demon took the blow as if struck by a heavy impact, going completely limp before crashing to the ground unconscious!
After taking care of his opponent, Gohan nodded to Piccolo, then vanished in the blink of an eye!
It was worth noting that Gohan hadn't killed them. Kindhearted as he was, he had merely knocked the soldiers unconscious!
Elsewhere, Frieza watched the scene, veins bulging on his forehead as he gritted his teeth at Son Gohan's fierce fighting.
"W-what is he?" Sorbet was drenched in cold sweat. Seeing his soldiers fall one by one made his heart bleed!
"That's a Super Saiyan! I never imagined Son Goku's son could do it too. But I have to admit, he's just as kindhearted as his father—so kind it makes me sick!!"
Though Frieza was stronger than Gohan, he had been killed by Saiyans twice, and the experience had left him traumatized. Now, seeing Son Gohan transform, his expression turned especially grim.
In the next instant, Frieza suddenly appeared in front of Gohan!
Sensing danger, Gohan let out an angry shout and swung a punch at Frieza!
Frieza's expression remained cold. He caught Gohan's fist with ease, closed in, and landed a solid punch in Gohan's stomach!
"Ugh!!"
Gohan couldn't withstand the impact. He was struck so hard he threw up bile!
But with his fist still caught, he didn't go flying. His body went limp, his golden hair turned black again, and his ki rapidly faded!
"Gohan!!" Krillin, Piccolo, and the others were horrified to see Gohan knocked out just like that.
Frieza looked at Son Gohan, a faint smile appearing on his face. Then he abruptly grabbed Gohan's arm and kicked him hard in the body!
"Ugh!!!"
Gohan screamed as he flew backward into a cliff face. The cliff immediately collapsed!
"Go save him!!" Krillin cried, his expression changing.
Piccolo gritted his teeth, powered up, and charged straight toward Gohan.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Frieza blocked his way. He looked at Piccolo with an evil grin, opened his palm toward him, and fired a red Ki Blast that sent Piccolo hurtling into the sea!
"Piccolo!!"
Krillin and the others were overcome with despair. If even Piccolo was no match for their opponent, how could they possibly win?
Frieza glanced at Krillin and the others with a knowing smile.
Under Frieza's gaze, Krillin and the others were too afraid to move. Their opponent was simply too terrifying! They had no chance of winning!
"Heh heh heh! It seems I'm just too strong. I'm practically bullying you!" Frieza didn't attack again. He had no desire to fight anymore. He'd thought these people might give him a chance to stretch his muscles, but they were simply too weak!
Frieza looked away and prepared to return to his throne. But just then, his eyes widened. He spun around and looked in a certain direction.
A boy had appeared there without anyone noticing. He even had a tail.
"Y-you... who are you?!" Frieza stared at the boy in surprise.
The boy smiled slightly at him. "Frieza, I've finally met you!"
"Hmm? You know me?" Frieza asked in confusion.
The boy nodded. "Of course I do!"
"Luya! What are you doing here? No, you finally made it!!" Bulma exclaimed in delight.
Luya nodded slightly to her. "Sorry for the wait!"
"What? So he's the Saiyan named Luya? He looks pretty strong!" Krillin and Master Roshi stared at Luya in surprise, curious about him.
But soon, their expressions grew serious. They realized they couldn't sense how strong his ki was at all!
How was that possible?
Luya smiled slightly, then looked at Krillin. "Mr. Krillin, you should have Senzu Beans on you, right? Go save Piccolo and Gohan!"
Krillin stared at him blankly. "May I ask, do you know me?"
Luya was momentarily speechless, then smiled. "I do, but now's not the time to talk about that. Save them first!"
Krillin nodded in understanding. He gave Frieza a wary glance, then flew toward the shore.
But Frieza clearly wasn't going to let him succeed. In the next instant, he appeared in front of Krillin, blocking his way.
Krillin's expression changed. He gritted his teeth as he braced himself for a desperate fight.
Whoosh!
Luya suddenly appeared in front of him, facing Frieza. "Your opponent is me. I'd like to see just how powerful Frieza, the Emperor of the Universe, really is!"
At that, Frieza's lips curled into a faint smile. "Heh heh heh! Is that so? Very well, I'll gladly accept!"
Luya's lips curved upward.
Seeing this, Krillin immediately flew off to save the others.
Luya and Frieza faced each other in midair. Neither made the first move.
He had already gauged Frieza's battle power. Since Frieza hadn't launched an attack four months later, his battle power was only seven billion!
When Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan, his battle power had risen to 6.8 billion. That two-hundred-million difference, combined with Frieza's perfectly timed sneak attack, was why Gohan had been taken out in one blow!
Tsk, tsk. Luya felt a little sorry for him. If Gohan had never given up training, he might not be any weaker than Frieza now!
Still, Luya had nothing to fear. His own battle power was 6.5 billion! There was a gap, but it wasn't enough to guarantee his defeat!
Luya suddenly held out his palm toward Frieza.
Frieza was taken aback, then smiled slightly and made no other move.

Frieza's smile didn't change. He casually tilted his head, and the blast flew right past his ear without hitting him.
Frieza looked at Luya and smirked. "Are you here to make a joke?"
Luya gave him a mysterious smile. "Am I?"
Frieza was taken aback, then sensed that something was wrong. He suddenly remembered something and whirled around.
The Ki Blast Luya had fired had curved around and was now hurtling toward Sorbet!
"N-no!! Lord Frieza! Save me! Sa— Aaaah!"
Boom!
Sorbet was blasted to pieces!
