"Please note! Achievement points for this limited-time quest are doubled. If you fail, this achievement quest will disappear forever!"

Never-ending Dinosaur Leg? Li Shu didn't quite understand this reward. Was it some kind of superpower that could make dinosaur legs appear out of thin air? That seemed pretty useless.

Li Shu was only a little disappointed, but he was still full of energy. After all, double achievement points were the real prize.

From Nobi Bear's account, Li Shu got a rough idea of what Cool Cool Dragon was.

This was a creature that hadn't appeared in the original story. Like Oolong, it was an animal person with superpowers.

Nobi Bear didn't know it was a dragon. According to his description, this legendary dinosaur was actually a giant rat that gave him endless headaches.

It often stole the ingredients he'd prepared, and no matter how hard he racked his brains, he couldn't drive the damn rat out.

It especially loved the dinosaur meat he'd bought from Li Shu at great expense.

"It's really fast. We can't catch it at all, and it's incredibly cunning. None of our mousetraps work on it. It's been making fools of us for a whole month, and it's been driving me crazy."

"Fortunately, you're here, Li Shu. You can even tame dinosaurs, so you must be an excellent martial artist. I hope you can help me catch this rat. I'll pay you handsomely."

Li Shu waved a hand and said, "Bear, we're already good friends. I'll help you catch the rat. You don't need to pay me."

"Haha, I couldn't possibly let you do that. How about this: whether or not you catch the rat, everything you eat at my shop from now on is free."

An hour later, Nobi Bear closed up shop and said to Li Shu, "It's extremely cunning. It only shows up when there aren't many people around, and it often steals food when we're not paying attention."

Li Shu nodded and smiled. "I already know where it's hiding."

"Really?" Nobi Bear was delighted.

"Just go about your usual cleaning. Leave it to me," Li Shu said confidently.

In the corner of the kitchen, a combat-power reading floated in midair.

"Is this your superpower, [Invisibility]?" Li Shu looked with interest at the empty corner of the kitchen. Without Battle Eye, he probably wouldn't have been able to complete this quest.

Li Shu didn't act rashly. There were still a few hours until sunrise, so he needed to think things through and come up with a proper plan.

After all, the quest required him to help Nobi Bear tame Cool Cool Dragon. Simply catching it wouldn't be enough to complete the quest.

"Can he see me?" Cool Cool Dragon, invisible in the corner, stared at the monkey person in confusion.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible! Nobody can detect my [Invisibility]!" Cool Cool Dragon tried to reassure himself.

He'd roamed the city for over a decade, eating and drinking like a king without ever having to work. He'd never been caught, and that experience had given him plenty of confidence.

Even so, cautious as he was, he had no intention of taking a risk. He decided to leave this shop and find another one where he could keep living the good life.

He was clever and never plagued any one shop for long. He understood a principle that could only be grasped, not explained—the secret to his survival.

Meanwhile, Li Shu frowned. He hadn't thought of a good way to handle things, and Cool Cool Dragon seemed ready to make a run for it.

The combat-power reading floating in midair was inching toward the door.

"He really can see me!" Cool Cool Dragon had been keeping an eye on Li Shu. When he saw Li Shu's gaze follow his movements, he was terrified.

He could feel the powerful aura emanating from the monkey person, and it scared him badly. He stopped moving cautiously and dashed for the door.

As he sped up, his [Invisibility] immediately wore off.

Clearly, his actions were restricted while he was [Invisible].

"Heh, I never thought there'd be a dinosaur that looked like a rat." The moment he saw Cool Cool Dragon, Li Shu couldn't help freezing in surprise.

Cool Cool Dragon wasn't very big, only about the size of an adult female cat. He had a ratlike face, and his pointy snout was so tiny it couldn't even cover his two front teeth.

The panicked look on his face was quite amusing.

If the system hadn't said he was a dinosaur, Li Shu would have thought he was a giant rat.

"You're not getting away." Li Shu flicked a finger, sending out a blue wave of energy that struck Cool Cool Dragon in the abdomen and left him badly wounded on the ground.

Since he couldn't think of another way, he decided to subdue him by force and make him submit to his divine might.

As Cool Cool Dragon stared at him in terror, Li Shu grabbed him by the scruff and lifted him up.

"You look pretty tasty," Li Shu said with a grin.

"No! Don't eat me! I'm sick—I'm really sick! Please don't eat me!" Cool Cool Dragon was a coward and begged desperately.

Nobi Bear came over to watch and showered Li Shu with praise.

Li Shu smiled. "Bear, what are you going to do with him? I have a pretty good suggestion."

"What suggestion?" Nobi Bear asked curiously.

"He caused you quite a bit of trouble, didn't he? Why not make him work here to repay your losses?"

"Work? No way! I'd never work, not in this lifetime! You might as well eat me!" Cool Cool Dragon shrieked in terror before Nobi Bear could even respond.

He seemed to have an intense aversion to the idea of working.

"Why would you rather die than work?" Li Shu asked, curious.

Cool Cool Dragon didn't explain. He yelled, "There's no reason! I just won't work! You might as well kill me!"

"Oh?" Cool Cool Dragon's intense reaction made Li Shu feel that this could be a bit of a problem.

Li Shu then said, "Tell me why, and I won't make you work."

"Really?" Cool Cool Dragon was overjoyed and quickly explained.

As it turned out, he'd worked before, but he was ugly and ridiculous-looking, short, and clumsy at his job, often making mistakes. Customers and coworkers had frequently mocked him, and his boss had constantly berated him. It had left him with deep psychological scars and caused him immense torment.

So he'd sworn he would never work again, not in this lifetime.

"All right. I'm not unreasonable." Li Shu felt sorry for what Cool Cool Dragon had been through. "But you did do something wrong, and you caused my friend losses. You'll have to pay him back for them."
