An eagle flew over Route 66, looking down over the vast canyon. The elevated railway bridge in the air had been blasted into two sections, with thick smoke billowing everywhere.

Part of the derailed train remained on the tracks. Some cars hung down toward the ground from the broken rails, while others had fallen directly onto the ground, leaving a complete mess.

Many people were busily at work. They wore black vests, black hats, and yellow face coverings marked with white skulls flanked by wings—the emblem of the Deadlock Gang.

So this explosion had been the Deadlock Gang's scheme. They had long planned to intercept the train and blow up the elevated bridge.

This was a train transporting weapons. Their plan was to steal the cargo inside and sell it on the black market. And apparently, this train carried something particularly special—something extremely valuable.

A tall, burly omnic carried a giant white mechanical egg forward. It had a silver-white mechanical body, yet it wore human clothes: a hat, a vest, and even a fake mustache pasted over its mouth.

A Deadlock Gang member opened a crate and excitedly rubbed his hands together. It was filled with grenades, all linked together. Just as he pulled out the string of grenades, he heard a sound coming from the smoke nearby.

It was the sound of cowboy boot spurs striking the ground. Then he heard a cough.

He looked toward the smoke. A man slowly emerged from it. The moment he saw the man's face, his expression changed. Clutching the string of grenades, he ran over. "Ashe! Ashe!"
