The Wild West's Big Cousin

As far as the eye could see were red rocks and steep cliffs, barren desert, and green cacti. There were many abandoned motels and bars around. Following the Overwatch System map's directions, William drove deeper along Route 66.

The hovercar entered a canyon. Not far away stood an abandoned gas station, beside which was a huge billboard that read: Welcome to Deadlock Gang Canyon.

The Deadlock Gang was a criminal organization in the western United States, mainly involved in the sale and trade of weapons. They had now occupied many areas along Route 66, and this place had become their headquarters.

William should have proceeded carefully upon entering Deadlock Gang territory. Yet he did not care much. The West in the Overwatch world had cowboys and the terrifying Deadlock Gang.

But the West in the Marvel world was clearly far more terrifying, because it had Mjolnir and Ghost Rider.

Following the location of the light marker, William found a fast-food restaurant that was still open. An elevated railway ran above it, and trains apparently passed through here often.

He looked around but did not find his target. After driving for so long, he had grown hungry, so he decided to get something to eat.

He pushed open the door and found only a few customers in the restaurant. At the counter stood an omnic dressed in a waiter's uniform.

"Sir, what would you like to eat?" the omnic waiter asked.

"Do you have steak?" William looked up at the menu.

"Sorry, we don't serve steak here, but we have burritos, bacon and eggs..."

"Never mind." William waved his hand. He had thought Japan was cool before, but after coming to the western United States, he found the scorching heat unbearable.

In weather this hot, nothing a cup of iced Coke
