Emperor Thanos withstood the power of the Infinity Stones. Just as he was about to snap his fingers, Captain Marvel, who had been knocked unconscious, woke up. Golden light enveloped her hands as a roaring Photon Blast slammed into the Infinity Gauntlet on Thanos's hand.

The Infinity Gauntlet Iron Man had made was no divine artifact. It was merely a gemstone carrier constructed from nanomaterials, so its defenses were poor. Captain Marvel's attack shattered it in an instant, sending the six Infinity Stones flying.

Thanos immediately rushed forward to seize them, but William's Doom Gauntlet smashed into his face, forcing him back several steps. That punch slowed Emperor Thanos for a few seconds, but those few seconds were enough for William to gather every Infinity Stone.

William had previously discovered that the Overwatch System seemed capable of containing and using the Infinity Stones. However, he had never tested what would happen if he placed all the Infinity Stones into the system.
