Afterward, Jiang Yun successfully located Bulma through Dr. Brief and set off to find her. Given Jiang Yun's strength, it took him less than a day to track down Goku and Bulma.

In the past, Jiang Yun might have felt a surge of excitement—after all, he was encountering the legendary Turtle Hermit, Goku's mentor, a figure who would hold a pivotal role later on!

However, given Jiang Yun's current state of mind, few things could cause significant ripples in his heart. Before long, the sea turtle brought the Turtle Hermit over, claiming he wanted to repay Goku and his friends for saving his life.

Amidst a series of comical exchanges, the Turtle Hermit finally produced the Flying Nimbus, Goku's early mode of transportation.

This reminded Jiang Yun of his days living at Korin Tower and the teachings of Korin.

Far away at Korin Tower, Korin sneezed twice. He stopped what he was doing and rubbed his head. Who is talking about me? It couldn't be that kid Jiang Yun, could it? I wonder how he's doing. He should still be training hard. Thinking of how Jiang Yun used to train, he couldn't help but sigh at what a training fanatic he was.

Afterward, he looked at the fish in his hands and began to eat again, his face full of enjoyment.

Back on Jiang Yun's side, unaware of Korin's reaction, he looked at the Flying Nimbus summoned by the Turtle Hermit. He recalled how Korin had once wanted to gift him a Flying Nimbus, but Jiang Yun had declined, citing his mastery of the Flight Technique.

Subsequently, Goku and Bulma, having obtained a Dragon Ball, continued their journey. During their search, they met their first companion, Oolong, a pig who could use transformation magic. However, it was clear he hadn't mastered the skill, as he could only maintain his form for a mere five minutes.

Still, if used effectively, five minutes was enough. When they found the girls Oolong had been holding captive, they discovered that the girls were actually living quite well in Oolong's villa—some didn't even want to leave.

Shortly after setting off, they encountered the desert bandit Yamcha and his inseparable companion, Puar. After defeating Yamcha, they discovered that Puar and Oolong actually knew each other; they had been classmates who studied supernatural abilities together.

However, Puar looked down on Oolong, as Oolong had been expelled for peeping at girls, which was why his supernatural abilities were incomplete and could only last for five minutes.

Seeing this, Jiang Yun couldn't help but lament how deep the waters of this world ran. If Oolong and Puar attended the Southern Shapeshifting Kindergarten, then the question arose: were there elementary schools, middle schools, and so on? Although the original story hadn't shown it, Jiang Yun believed it wasn't that simple. It was a strange twist of fate, and it was here that Goku met Chi-Chi, forging an unbreakable bond with her from that day on.

The Ox-King wanted to ask the Turtle Hermit to extinguish the fire on Fire Mountain, but the Turtle Hermit realized the Ox-King had killed many people to protect his treasures. The Turtle Hermit wasn't so rigid; he took the opportunity to lecture the Ox-King and used the Kamehameha to destroy the ill-gotten wealth the Ox-King had accumulated over the years.

Goku also displayed his astonishing aptitude; he learned the Kamehameha on the spot—a technique that had taken the Turtle Hermit fifty years to invent. The Turtle Hermit was once again shocked by Goku.

After Goku promised to visit the Kame House later, they parted ways. Goku and his friends continued their quest for the remaining Dragon Balls. During this process, their Dragon Balls were accidentally stolen by Emperor Pilaf's gang. Forced to retrieve them, they entered Emperor Pilaf's castle. Just as Pilaf and his cohorts thought they had victory in their grasp and summoned Shenron, and while everyone else thought all was lost, Oolong suddenly moved.

However, someone was faster than him: Jiang Yun. Jiang Yun appeared before Shenron ahead of Oolong. Seeing the sudden appearance of Jiang Yun, the group was stunned. Where did this person pop out from? Without waiting for them to think too much, Jiang Yun stated his wish to Shenron: "Shenron, give me the manufacturing blueprints for the most advanced spacecraft in the universe!"

None of them had expected their wish to be snatched by a stranger. It wasn't until Shenron disappeared that Pilaf and the others reacted, wanting to take revenge on the person who had stolen their wish.

Jiang Yun didn't move, instead quietly watching the moon in the sky. A moment later, a massive roar erupted—it was Goku, transformed into a Great Ape. The transformed Great Ape instinctively sensed that Jiang Yun was the strongest one present and swung his fist toward him.

Jiang Yun leaped lightly, dodging the Great Ape's attack. To him, these strikes were far too slow. However, Jiang Yun looked up at the red-eyed Great Ape and kicked it away with a single blow. Yamcha and the others nearby widened their eyes in disbelief; was this something a human could do?

The thick-skinned Great Ape was completely unfazed and continued to attack Jiang Yun. However, Jiang Yun clearly didn't want to tangle with it any longer. The moment the Great Ape lunged, he moved swiftly to its tail and used a hand-blade to sever it in one clean motion. The Great Ape slowly transformed back into Goku.
