Background / History

Klein served as Doctor Mobius’s assistant in the Flame-Chasing Moths’ Changkong City laboratory. She first brought Mobius footage of the Honkai incident in H City and was instructed to monitor any information about the unidentified lightning user, later identified as Ling Xi. 2 3

When Mobius decided to recruit Ling Xi, she assigned Klein to approach him without disclosing Mobius’s identity or the laboratory’s connection to her. Klein instead framed the meeting as Mobius’s personal expression of gratitude, then escorted Ling Xi into the Flame-Chasing Moths base. 3 4

As Mobius’s assistant, Klein handled Ling Xi’s onboarding, access credentials, laboratory orientation, experimental records, and much of the laboratory’s routine workload. Though she had graduated from Qianyu Academy less than a year earlier, she voluntarily accepted a pay cut to improve the underfunded laboratory’s equipment and living conditions. 6 7
