Taking advantage of Goku Black's unsteady landing, he swiftly threw a right punch, golden energy coiling around his fist as he drove it toward Goku Black's abdomen. The punch carried tremendous force and speed, like a cannonball.
Goku Black reacted just as quickly, blocking Goku's fist with the hilt of his blade. The two collided with a dull boom, and a powerful shock wave spread in every direction, once again shattering the ground around them.
Then Goku Black suddenly whipped his blade around, sending a black wave of blade energy shooting toward Goku's throat like a venomous snake.
Goku Black was incredibly fast. His figure became a black blur and vanished from Goku's sight in an instant.
Goku's heart lurched. Relying on the keen instincts honed through years of fighting, he quickly dodged to the side. But Goku Black's attacks came one after another. He swung his enormous black blade, slashing at Goku from every vicious angle. The wind from each strike howled, tearing through space wherever it passed, like black lightning crisscrossing all around them.
Goku kept dodging and weaving, his feet skimming rapidly over the ground and kicking up clouds of dust.
His eyes stayed locked on Goku Black's figure as he searched for a chance to counterattack. Suddenly, Goku's gaze sharpened. He seized a gap in Goku Black's assault, rapidly brought his hands together, and shouted, "Kamehameha!" A blue energy wave blasted from his hands and shot toward Goku Black. The air compressed in its wake, crackling with a sizzling sound, like a mighty dragon made of energy surging forward.
Goku Black remained calm. His speed suddenly increased, and he darted around to the side of the Kamehameha. Gripping his black blade with both hands, he swung it hard. A black crescent-shaped blade of energy broke free and slashed toward the Kamehameha. The two attacks collided with a deafening boom. Their energy clashed and canceled out, and the tremendous impact instantly pulverized the boulders around them, scattering the dust in every direction.
Using the smoke from the explosion as cover, Goku Black accelerated again and appeared behind Goku like a ghost. He raised his blade high and brought it down with a deadly force. Sensing the danger behind him, Goku had no time to turn around. He could only gather all his energy at his back to form a golden shield. Goku Black's blade slammed into it.
The shield behind Goku shattered with ease. The tremendous impact sent him flying, his body crashing like a cannonball into a distant mountain. The mountain collapsed instantly, sending rocks flying. Goku struggled to his feet amid the rubble, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. His eyes remained resolute as he glared at Goku Black.
Goku Black burst into laughter. "Well, Son Goku? You're no match for me!" He tightened his grip on the black blade, then flashed forward, crossing the distance between them in an instant and attacking Goku with unstoppable force.
Goku wiped the blood from his mouth and took a deep breath, his muscles tensing. His golden aura blazed to life once more. With a shout, he charged straight into Goku Black's attack. They clashed in an instant, fists and feet meeting blade. Every impact rang out with a dull boom, and powerful waves of energy spread in all directions, sweeping everything around them into the raging battle.
Goku spotted an opening and suddenly kicked at Goku Black's wrist, trying to knock the black blade from his hand. But Goku Black deftly twisted his wrist and dodged the kick, then turned the blade toward Goku's neck. Goku hurriedly leaned back. The blade skimmed past the tip of his nose, stirring a cool breeze.
Then Goku's hands moved rapidly, tracing golden arcs through the air. He thrust them forward, sending a powerful golden energy wave shooting toward Goku Black. Goku Black held his blade horizontally in both hands and slashed hard, splitting the wave down the middle. The two halves flew off in opposite directions and exploded violently in the distance, leaving two enormous craters.
As the battle wore on, Goku gained a deeper understanding of Super Saiyan God's power through his life-and-death clashes. Every dodge and attack made him more adept at controlling this tremendous strength. His movements grew smoother, his blows more powerful, and his golden aura burned brighter and steadier. The energy that had once seemed somewhat unruly gradually came under his effortless control.
Goku Black could clearly sense the change in Goku, and his growing irritation was impossible to hide. He had always prided himself on his control over power. Now, seeing Goku grow stronger in the middle of their fight made him feel challenged. Goku Black snorted and swung his black blade even faster. Every slash unleashed a storm of dark energy as he tried to crush Goku through sheer force.
Goku keenly noticed the change in Goku Black's mood and felt a surge of quiet satisfaction. He knew that as long as he kept up the pressure, he might find an opening. So Goku increased the pace of his attacks. He darted around Goku Black, raining down punches and kicks, each precisely aimed at a vital spot. Red energy flashed and intertwined around him, forming a dazzling crimson blur.
Goku Black kept fending off Goku's attacks, his frustration growing by the moment. Suddenly, he roared. Black energy erupted from his body, blasting Goku several meters away. Then Goku Black raised his blade high as black energy poured along its edge, rapidly gathering into a gigantic vortex. Red lightning flashed within it, and the surrounding space twisted as if it were about to collapse.
Seeing this, Goku took no chances. He planted his feet wide and lowered into a solid stance, quickly gathering his energy in front of him. Then he concentrated it all between his hands. A radiant red energy sphere formed in an instant. Red, dragon-shaped apparitions circled around it, radiating an imposing aura, as though it contained enough power to destroy everything.
They exchanged a glance and unleashed their strongest attacks at the same time. Goku Black brought his black blade down hard, sending the enormous vortex of dark energy sweeping toward Goku with world-shattering force. Goku thrust the golden energy sphere forward, and its red dragon-shaped apparition roared as it charged toward the black vortex.
