Just as Son Goku was lost in his wild thoughts, Chi-Chi's voice reached his ears.

"Goku, what are you thinking about?"

"Nothing, nothing at all!"

Chi-Chi's face flushed slightly as she asked in a low voice:

"Are you thinking about something? Were you moved by me?"

"If you want to thank me, just promise to marry me and be my bride when we grow up..."

A rosy glow appeared on Chi-Chi's little face once again.

Goku looked at Chi-Chi's face, and suddenly, something occurred to him.

He immediately asked, "Chi-Chi, did you see what kind of meal Launch was making earlier?"

Chi-Chi snapped out of her blushing state, hesitated for a moment, and then nodded: "Mm, I saw it.

When I went inside to get drinks for Master Roshi, I saw Launch butchering a fish.

Then she sneezed, turned blonde, and started chasing me around."

"What kind of fish?" Goku asked again.

Chi-Chi looked up at the sky and thought for a moment: "I don't know..."

Son Goku muttered to himself.

Even though the wheels of history had shifted, he still remembered Launch's first dinner.

Perhaps that meal had been pufferfish.

Goku said, "Then I won't eat dinner either.

I'll go hungry with you tonight!"

Chi-Chi's face lit up with joy.

"Goku, you're actually going to go hungry with me? You're so good to me!"

As she spoke, Chi-Chi rubbed her face against Goku's.

Goku smiled faintly: "Chi-Chi, since we're sharing this hardship, should I just throw this stone away?"

Chi-Chi immediately stopped him: "Don't! It was so hard to find!

If you aren't eating and I aren't eating, why not give it to Krillin?"

Goku felt it wouldn't be right to set Krillin up, so he said, "I still think we should throw it away."

Just then, Krillin, having faked a stone, was kicked out by Master Roshi.

He happened to see Chi-Chi and Goku holding Master Roshi's stone.

The two of them were pushing it back and forth between them.

The stone was still in Son Goku's hand.

A sly grin appeared on Krillin's face.

He scurried over with a mischievous look, snatched the stone, and took off running.

Goku was stunned.

"Tsk tsk, Krillin, you guy, you actually snatched my stone!"

"Blehh!!" Krillin stuck out his tongue and dashed toward Kame House to turn it in.

Chi-Chi said angrily, "Honestly, Krillin actually snatched your stone.

And to think I was kind enough to suggest you give it to him earlier.

Goku, let's catch him tonight and give him a good beating!"

Goku shrugged and said, "Forget it, don't be so hot-headed.

It was going to be thrown away anyway, so there's no need."

If it really was pufferfish, Krillin and Master Roshi would definitely be completely drained by tonight; that would be far more painful than a beating.

Chi-Chi lowered her head and said, "Goku, you are so kind-hearted. I'll listen to whatever you say!"

Soon, dinner was served inside the house.

Krillin ate the fish Launch had prepared, occasionally showing off to Son Goku outside the window.

Master Roshi laughed: "I never would have imagined, the fish Launch made is truly delicious!"

Krillin: "Master Roshi, let me top off your drink!"

Launch: "Thank you for the compliment. I bought this fish at the island market; it's very fresh."

Krillin glanced out the window while he ate.

"It's a pity that Son Goku and Chi-Chi couldn't taste such delicious fish..."

By the time they had been drinking past ten o'clock, Master Roshi and Krillin suddenly developed stomach pains.

Master Roshi couldn't help but ask a question.

"Launch, what kind of fish is this?"

"Pufferfish..."

Master Roshi and Krillin's faces turned deathly pale in an instant...

The fragrance inside the house was too strong.

The scent of fish wafted all around the entire building.

For those with empty stomachs, it was magnified tenfold.

Son Goku and Chi-Chi both caught the scent, and their appetites were stirred, making them even hungrier.

Since Master Roshi and Krillin were eating and drinking inside, they couldn't just let the two of them watch, so they both hid outside to enjoy the cool air.

Before long, the sounds of Krillin and Master Roshi fighting over the bathroom drifted out from the house.

Chi-Chi asked curiously, "What's wrong with them? Why do they keep running to the bathroom?"

Son Goku: "..."

Having someone by his side to play the straight man like this didn't seem so bad.

However, even without having diarrhea, being hungry was quite uncomfortable.

As the two were chatting, Chi-Chi's face suddenly turned bright red.

A loud rumbling sound had come from her stomach.

Son Goku smiled slightly: "Hungry?"

Chi-Chi lowered her head, her face flushed: "Yeah, a little! But it's fine, it's still better than having diarrhea like them."

"That's true!"

Just then, Launch walked out carrying two roasted chickens.

"You two must be hungry, right?"

The two were surprised: "Launch, you..."

Launch held a finger to her lips: "Shh, keep it down. Son Goku, thank you for saving me earlier today; I saw everything. These two roasted chickens just finished cooking. Since they have diarrhea and clearly can't eat them, you two can have them. It works out perfectly—one for each of you!"

Son Goku and Chi-Chi were both overjoyed.

Chi-Chi said sweetly: "Thank you, Auntie Launch!"

Launch gave an awkward smile: "Just call me sister."

Chi-Chi immediately corrected herself: "Thank you, sister!"

Launch smiled knowingly and said: "You're welcome. Eat up, and if it's not enough, I'll bring you some staples."

Son Goku: "Thank you, Launch!!"

The two little ones sat in a dark corner, gnawing on the roasted chickens with great effort, eating with immense satisfaction...

Chi-Chi tore off a chicken leg: "Son Goku, I can't finish a whole one, this chicken leg is for you!"

"Thank you!!"

Chi-Chi: "Wait, that's not right. It was blonde Launch just a moment ago, so why was she so gentle with you?"

Son Goku: "I don't know, who cares? This is delicious!"

Chi-Chi: "Goku, do you think Launch likes you?"
