Sikong Jing and A-Jin deceived Ling Yusong into trusting her and fleeing toward Chaos-Shaking City, hoping he would return to the waiting forces there. As Sikong Jing and A-Jin raced to intercept him, Forged Rock sensed Ling Yusong arriving.
Sikong Jing and A-Jin reached the Heavenly Dao Sacred Land’s troops after Ling Yusong, who entered their ranks without suspecting A-Jin. Ling Yusong activated the Blood Baleful Spirit Devouring Array and seized Heavenly Heart Sacred Ancestor and Hai Chongyin, but Sikong Jing walked through the formation to confront him and ask him to spare the Sacred Ancestor.
Sikong Jing revealed his dual Emperor Bloodlines to Ling Yusong, then used the moment of shock to rescue the captives and launch a coordinated attack. Ling Yusong survived and recognized Sikong Jing, while Sikong’s allies gathered around him for the confrontation.
Sikong Jing and his allies continued their assault on Ling Yusong, but the wounded Divine Martial fighter broke out of the Qianyuan Battle-Killing Formation. Forged Rock transformed with the Demonic Path First-Layer Form and helped Sikong Jing overwhelm Ling Yusong, while Madam Raccoon and Pei Yusheng realized they might be in danger aboard the Divine Shuttle Ship.
Chai Ren entered the Desolate Sea Forbidden Land and rescued Ling Yusong from Sikong Jing and the others, intending to use him to stop Black Scale from obtaining the Demon Vein inheritance. Sikong Jing realized Chai Jiu was likely still trapped inside the formation, but the exhausted group could not catch Chai Ren.
Sikong Jing planned to pursue Ling Yusong and Chai Ren into the Desolate Sea Absolute Formation, identifying the Blood Demon Grand Formation as their likely route. Chai Ren escaped through a spatial passage with Ling Yusong near death and headed back to seek Chai Jiu's help.
After Sikong Jing pursued Chai Ren toward the Desolate Sea Absolute Formation, Murong Jianyun and Su Yuexi followed his instructions to keep their exhausted forces steady and prepare for the next threat. They reached Chaos-Shaking City and awaited news, while Su Yuexi revealed Sikong Jing’s identity as the Humanoid Fierce Beast to a few trusted allies.
Sikong Jing and his companions crossed the Desolate Sea Absolute Formation toward the Blood Demon Grand Formation, planning to kill Ling Yusong and learn more about his parents’ fate. Inside the formation, Chai Ren returned to Chai Jiu with Ling Yusong and proposed using the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family’s support against Black Scale.
Chai Jiu and Chai Ren planned to use Ling Yusong’s rescue to gain the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family’s favor or capture Black Scale inside the Blood Demon Grand Formation. Sikong Jing reached the formation with his allies and learned it had weak points they could exploit to sneak in and kill Ling Yusong before he recovered.
After Sikong Jing left to confront Ling Yusong, A-Jin explained why she believed their survival depended on Ling Yusong’s death and Sikong Jing’s success. A terrifying Divine Martial cultivator with a human and beast half arrived at the Blood Demon Grand Formation, fighting another soul within his body, and sensed a Cang Vein disciple nearby.
Zhan Hu and Cang Lang fought for control of Zhan Hu’s body as they drifted toward the Blood Demon Grand Formation. Inside the formation, Sikong Jing’s group searched for Chai Jiu, who revived Ling Yusong, only for Ling Yusong to attack him.
Ling Yusong woke and attacked Chai Jiu, then used the Blood Demon Grand Formation against him before learning that Chai Jiu and Chai Ren had been expelled from the Cangyu Sect and had rescued him. As Ling Yusong considered their request to help reclaim the sect, Sikong Jing waited for him to weaken the formation so they could strike.
Ling Yusong tested Chai Jiu and Chai Ren’s loyalty, then lowered his guard after learning they had saved him. Sikong Jing and the five Holy Martial demon men ambushed Ling Yusong and tore his body apart, but Chai Jiu rescued his spirit shadow just before Sikong Jing could destroy it.
Sikong Jing watched as Ling Yusong’s spirit shadow was devoured before it could clearly reveal the secret of the Sikong Couple’s son and the Nine Heavens legacy. A mysterious figure then broke through the Blood Demon Grand Formation, and Sikong Jing recognized him as Zhan Hu.
Sikong Jing and the others discovered that Zhan Hu had been possessed by Cang Lang, the first master of the Cang Vein. Cang Lang subdued Chai Jiu and questioned him about the current Cangyu Sect and its demonfolk.
Cang Lang berated Chai Jiu for losing to Sikong Jing, then gave him the Cang Vein inheritance and ordered him to learn a possession technique. After Zhan Hu revealed that Demon Battle’s inheritance could restrain Cang Lang, Cang Lang offered Sikong Jing all the inheritances in exchange for eventually taking over his body.
Sikong Jing resisted Cang Lang’s demand to become his disciple and used knowledge of Black Demon Old Ancestor to unsettle him. Cang Lang demanded Black Demon’s inheritance in exchange for letting Sikong Jing go, but Sikong Jing refused unless Zhan Hu lived.
Cang Lang threatened Sikong Jing and the demon men to force Sikong Jing to surrender his spiritual shadow, then absorbed it into Zhan Hu’s body. Sikong Jing’s plan left Forged Rock and the others escaping the Blood Demon Grand Formation while Zhan Hu fought to restrain Cang Lang.
Sikong Jing revealed that his human-form and demon-form spiritual shadows had both entered Zhan Hu, then used the demon-form shadow to ally with him against Cang Lang. Zhan Hu passed Sikong Jing the first Lord of the Demon Vein’s inheritance so they could strengthen Zhan Hu and drive Cang Lang away.
Sikong Jing used a flood of fierce-beast meridian memories to delay Cang Lang while absorbing Demonic Battle's inheritance. Meanwhile, he reached the people trapped in the Blood Demon Grand Formation and watched as one woman asked whether they still had any hope.
Sikong Jing saw the misery of the people trapped inside the Blood Demon Grand Formation and decided to contact their elders in secret. After Sikong Xinyu gathered them, the elders approached him while Chai Ren remained unaware of their plans.
Sikong Jing met the despairing elders trapped in the Blood Demon Grand Formation and obtained the Light-Returning Mirror containing a method to sever their restraints. Their leader distrusted him and accused him of seeking to use them, while Sikong Xinyu recognized that he had arrived as Uncle Ding and Aunt Ling had promised.
Sikong Jing used the Light-Returning Mirror to witness Sikong Ding and Ling fighting the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family and learned how deeply they had fought for him and Ling'er. Though Sikong Luomiao assumed Jing had failed and was only pretending to care, Jing's tears revealed his grief, while his spirit shadows continued their struggle against Cang Lang and Jing asked whether he now had a thirty-percent chance of winning.
Cang Lang brought Chai Jiu into Zhan Hu’s Spirit Platform sea of consciousness to help crush Zhan Hu, but Sikong Jing strengthened Zhan Hu by sharing his Demonic Battle insights. Cang Lang then forced the Cang Vein inheritance into Sikong Jing to overwhelm his encrypted memories, and began searching them for the Black Demon Patriarch’s inheritance.
Sikong Jing tricked Cang Lang into giving him the Cang Vein inheritance while hiding that he had three Spirit Shadows. As Cang Lang tried to threaten him by retrieving his true body, Sikong Jing assured Zhan Hu that another Spirit Shadow remained there.
