Ch. 251The Golden Dragon Emerges, Destroying Heaven and Earth

Sikong Jing was nearly defeated by Long Night Star Luo Palace, but the Golden Divine Dragon lent him power and turned the battle around. The dragon then revealed itself and began destroying the palace while Yu Wenxiong and the others cowered.

  • Yu Wenxiong ordered Bai Changkong to kill Sikong Jing as the Fire-Bone War Dragon's power faded.
  • The Golden Divine Dragon emerged as a wisp of energy and gave Sikong Jing its power.
  • Sikong Jing pierced Bai Changkong with a golden spear strike, killing him and shaking the Star Luo Grand Array.
  • The Golden Divine Dragon transformed the Fire-Bone War Dragon and rebuked the Long Night Star Luo Palace for bullying Sikong Jing.
  • The Golden Divine Dragon unleashed its breath, demolished the palace, and left Yu Wenxiong, Bai Changwu, and Yao Changeng trembling in fear.

Ch. 252Who is Yao Changeng?

Sikong Jing forced Yao Changeng to examine Su Yuexi and provide a prescription before the Golden Divine Dragon carried them away from Long Night Star Luo Palace. He decided to seek refuge at the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace, while Yu Wenxiong and the others remained amid the palace's destruction.

  • The Golden Divine Dragon warned Star Luo Palace's elders not to harm Sikong Jing, left a claw mark in the arena, and agreed to take Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi away.
  • Sikong Jing asked who Yao Changeng was and ordered the Alchemy Academy dean to examine Su Yuexi.
  • Yao Changeng said Su Yuexi could be cured but that two rare medicines were missing, then gave Sikong Jing a prescription, available ingredients, and information about the missing medicines.
  • The Golden Divine Dragon carried Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi out of Long Night Star Luo Palace, then vanished as the Fire-Bone War Dragon's energy dissipated.
  • Sikong Jing rejected returning to the Black Burn Army and headed with Su Yuexi toward the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace.
  • Yu Wenxiong told Bai Changwu and the others that the demonic dragon had likely sensed the Fire-Bone War Dragon's aura, then resented its interference.

Ch. 253Evil Deeds, Struck by Lightning?

Yu Wenxiong learned that Sikong Jing was an unaffiliated student from Azure Dragon Small Domain, then sealed Star Luo Palace and ordered students to kill him to cover up the destruction. Drunken Dragon Tan Yue stumbled upon the damage and was chased away, while the story shifted to the Holy Dragon Palace’s examination and another of Tan Yue’s drunken recruitments.

  • A man whose son Sikong Jing had killed told Yu Wenxiong that Sikong Jing had recently arrived from Azure Dragon Small Domain and had no powerful backing.
  • Yu Wenxiong sealed Star Luo Palace, threatened everyone to keep the destruction secret, and offered rewards to students who killed Sikong Jing.
  • Drunken Dragon Tan Yue entered Star Luo Palace, recognized the ancient demonic dragon aura, and demanded to know where the dragon was.
  • Yu Wenxiong ordered his experts to kill Tan Yue, and more than a hundred of them chased him out of the capital.
  • At the Holy Dragon Palace, Vice Palace Master Qin Heng learned that Tan Yue had gone on another drunken spree and taken someone in.

Ch. 254Saint Dragon or Apprentice

Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi arrived at the Holy Dragon Palace after Dean Tan Yue recruited Sikong Jing despite his zero martial roots. Sikong Jing became a first-level apprentice and learned the rules for advancing to formal student status.

  • Qin Heng accepted Tan Yue’s latest recruit under the usual harsh apprentice conditions, while an elder urged him to report Tan Yue to the Palace Master; Qin Heng decided to speak with Tan Yue himself.
  • Wen Hu led Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi through Holy Dragon Town and explained that apprentices completed missions instead of serving formal students, but faced severe elimination rules.
  • Sikong Jing asked whether apprentices could advance, and Wen Hu led him to the Holy Dragon Mission Hall.
  • Yu Yan issued Sikong Jing an activated apprentice token and explained that apprentices had nine levels, needed to reach the ninth level to qualify as formal students, and had to advance before age twenty-four.

Ch. 255Harsh Conditions

Yu Yan explained the Holy Dragon Task Hall’s point system and the academy’s three mandatory monthly tasks, then took Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi to the Martial Comprehension Hall. As Sikong Jing began comprehending a martial skill in seven and a half minutes, Su Yuexi also entered a trance and performed a complete set of moves without true energy.

  • Yu Yan explained that apprentices advanced by earning points through tasks, including three mandatory tasks each month, and that failure could cost them points or force them to leave.
  • Wen Hu sent Yu Yan to show Sikong Jing the tasks, while she privately resolved to impose unusually harsh conditions on Tan Yue’s recruit.
  • Yu Yan explained that Sikong Jing had to comprehend a lower-tier Desolate-grade martial skill from scattered Green Jade Slates within three attempts and six hours per attempt.
  • Sikong Jing began comprehending immediately and claimed he would finish in seven and a half minutes, while Su Yuexi also entered a state of comprehension.
  • Before the seven and a half minutes had passed, Su Yuexi began performing a complete martial skill despite having no true energy.

Ch. 256Such a Simple Task

Su Yuexi and Sikong Jing astonished Yu Yan by quickly comprehending powerful martial techniques, and Sikong Jing cleared the Combat Hall’s six-puppet challenge with ease. Yu Yan realized Tan Yue had recruited an extraordinary talent as Sikong Jing completed his second mission.

  • Su Yuexi accidentally comprehended the Shadowless Butterfly Double Palm in less than a quarter of an hour, shocking Yu Yan despite having no martial cultivation.
  • Sikong Jing demonstrated the Dragon Wild Howling Wind Fist, and Yu Yan confirmed his first mission while awarding him five points.
  • Yu Yan explained that Sikong Jing’s next task required defeating six battle puppets, each stronger than the last.
  • Sikong Jing entered the battle puppet passage and returned in less than twenty breaths after one-shotting all six puppets.
  • Sikong Jing asked Yu Yan whether he had earned another five points, leaving her stunned by his talent.

Ch. 257Something Big Happened, There's a Pervert!

Sikong Jing completed the three apprentice trials under the old rules and engraved his self-created high-tier Flood-grade Black Whirlwind Fist on an ordinary Green Jade Slate. Yu Yan realized his achievement could shake the academy and rushed to show Mentor Wen Hu the slate.

  • Yu Yan brought Sikong Jing to the Martial Engraving Hall for his third task, which required engraving a Desolate-grade martial skill within three attempts.
  • Sikong Jing engraved his self-created high-tier Flood-grade Black Whirlwind Fist on a Green Jade Slate in one attempt.
  • Yu Yan inspected the slate, learned the skill’s grade and origin, and hurried to the Mission Hall to report Sikong Jing’s achievement.
  • Sikong Jing told Su Yuexi that Yu Yan was likely reporting the fist technique because it rivaled Star Luo Palace’s Black Whirlwind Battle Fist.
  • Wen Hu assumed Sikong Jing had complained about the trials, but Yu Yan interrupted him and revealed that Sikong Jing had passed all three trials under the old rules before handing him the slate.

Ch. 258First-Level Apprentice, You're Finished

Wen Hu and Yu Yan rushed to find Vice Palace Lord Qin after learning that Sikong Jing had engraved the Black Whirlwind Fist and impressed Dean Tan. While Yu Yan was still gone, Sikong Jing defended Su Yuexi from Zheng Yuansheng and his lackeys, then learned that Zheng Yuansheng’s older brother was an official student.

  • Wen Hu was astonished by Yu Yan’s account of Sikong Jing’s engraving and the Black Whirlwind Fist, and the two hurried to find Vice Palace Lord Qin.
  • After Yu Yan failed to return, Sikong Jing waited outside the Martial Engraving Hall with Su Yuexi and wondered whether the palace would reject him because of his zero martial roots.
  • Zheng Yuansheng and his lackeys approached Su Yuexi, and Sikong Jing beat them when they tried to drive him away from her.
  • Zheng Yuansheng threatened Sikong Jing with retaliation from his older brother, Zheng Yuanlou, before his group staggered away.
  • Other apprentices warned Sikong Jing about Zheng Yuansheng’s connections and offered to introduce him to a rival, but Sikong Jing instead questioned how the apprentices had completed their routine tasks.

Ch. 259I Have No Background

Sikong Jing waited outside the Martial Engraving Hall as Zheng Yuanlou arrived to avenge his brother. Deputy Palace Master Qin intervened and struck Zheng Yuanlou, who recognized him and dropped to his knees.

  • At the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace, Wen Hu and Yu Yan showed Qin Heng Sikong Jing's Green Jade Slate and explained his unusual martial talent and zero-root test result.
  • Qin Heng ordered Wen Hu to take him to Sikong Jing so they could clarify the Palace's harsh rules.
  • Zheng Yuanlou arrived at the Martial Engraving Hall with Zheng Yuansheng and threatened Sikong Jing, demanding that he kneel and give Su Yuexi to his brother.
  • As Zheng Yuanlou attacked, someone struck him and sent him flying.
  • Qin Heng revealed himself as the one who hit Zheng Yuanlou, who recognized the Deputy Palace Master and knelt in shock.

Ch. 260Unwilling, Frenzied Detection

Qin Heng brought Sikong Jing to Gold Dragon Mountain to investigate his extraordinary talent, but tests confirmed he had neither a martial root nor a martial bloodline despite reaching the Innate Realm. Qin Heng remained determined to discover how Sikong Jing had become so powerful and led him to the Martial Dragon Hall for another test.

  • Qin Heng stopped Wen Hu from punishing Sikong Jing and took Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi to Gold Dragon Mountain.
  • Wen Hu forced Zheng Yuanlou to confess, punished the Zheng brothers, and hurried after Qin Heng with Yu Yan.
  • Qin Heng tested Sikong Jing's martial root, but the Martial Vein Stone showed that it was zero.
  • Sikong Jing told Qin Heng about his background and the Black Flame Camp, then endured the Martial Vein Stone's pressure without revealing a martial bloodline.
  • Qin Heng brought Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi to the Martial Dragon Hall to test Sikong Jing's martial wisdom.

Ch. 261Qin Heng's Arrangements

Sikong Jing demonstrated two Fire-Bone War Dragon spear techniques to Qin Heng and received an arrangement to study as an apprentice before becoming a formal student of Drunken Dragon Mountain. Qin Heng also granted him access to the Martial Dragon Hall and promised him an eventual elder position, while warning him to hide his ability to create beast techniques.

  • Sikong Jing performed the Fire-Bone War Dragon knight's spear technique, explaining that he had first comprehended it at Star Luo Palace.
  • Sikong Jing demonstrated his self-created Fire-Bone Dragon Spear, astonishing Qin Heng with its power and originality.
  • Qin Heng arranged for Sikong Jing to start as an apprentice and advance to formal student status at Drunken Dragon Mountain.
  • Qin Heng gave Sikong Jing a token allowing him to enter the Martial Dragon Hall, provided he contributed any martial arts he comprehended to the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace.
  • Qin Heng warned Sikong Jing to keep his beast-technique comprehension secret and promised he would become at least an elder, then reminded him to reach the Innate Martial Body Realm before becoming a formal student.
  • After Qin Heng left, Su Yuexi wondered whether the Holy Dragon Palace would still make Sikong Jing an elder if his cultivation never advanced.

Ch. 262Outside Ninety-Nine Town, Ambush

Sikong Jing left the Long Night Holy Dragon Palace with Su Yuexi after arranging to contribute beast techniques and earn points. On their way back to Ninety-Nine Town, Lan Zhuanghe’s men ambushed them, while the Palace Master rushed to save Tan Yue after hearing he was being hunted.

  • Sikong Jing reassured Su Yuexi that contributing beast techniques would help him gain status and let him learn more powerful techniques.
  • Qin Heng told Wen Hu and Yu Yan that Sikong Jing had zero martial roots, arranged for his contributions to earn points, and ordered them to keep his beast techniques secret.
  • Qin Heng tried to report Sikong Jing’s situation to the Palace Master, but she refused to hear about Tan Yue until an elder reported that Yu Wenxiong was hunting him.
  • The Palace Master flew off in a fury to confront Yu Wenxiong, and Qin Heng said she could defeat even two Yu Wenxiongs.
  • Sikong Jing sensed an ambush two kilometers from Ninety-Nine Town, where Lan Zhuanghe’s two Martial Soul Realm associates and more than ten Martial Body Realm experts confronted him and demanded he return to the Lan Family.

Ch. 263Nine Levels of Martial Acupoint, Kill!

Sikong Jing fought off the Lan Family experts who pursued him, breaking through to the ninth level of the Martial Aperture Realm. After getting Su Yuexi safely into Ninety-Nine Town, he rode back out to face his pursuers with a mounted spear technique.

  • The Lan Family experts surrounded Sikong Jing and revealed that their forces had also surrounded the Ninety-Nine Legion, then moved to capture him.
  • Sikong Jing broke through from the first to the ninth level of the Martial Aperture Realm and killed or drove back the attacking Martial Body Realm experts with his Fire-Bone Dragon Spear.
  • Two Martial Soul Realm experts attacked Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi, but Sikong Jing used the Golden Soul Palace to carry her toward Ninety-Nine Town.
  • Two Black Fierce Horses charged out of town, allowing Sikong Jing and Su Yuexi to evade the Lan Family interception and enter the town safely.
  • Sikong Jing rode back out alone and prepared to attack the Lan Family experts with the Holy Dragon Fire-Bone Spear, combining his spear technique with the Black Fierce Horse's demonic power.

Ch. 264Siege

Sikong Jing killed the Lan Family guards who had ambushed him and hurried to the Ninety-Nine Legion, which Lan Zhuanghe had surrounded. He arrived as Lan Zhuanghe threatened to bring him before Ning Jingjing and Elder Wei.

  • Sikong Jing slaughtered the Lan Family experts and returned to Ninety-Nine Town with their heads tied to his horse.

Ch. 265Dark Wing Black Flame Sword

Sikong Jing arrived at Lan Zhuanghe’s castle with the heads of Lan Family warriors and fought a hundred black armor warriors alone using the Dark Wing Black Flame Sword. • Sikong Jing tossed the heads of over twenty Lan Family experts before Lan Zhuanghe and admitted killing his younger brother.

  • Ning Jingjing learned the Dark Wing Black Flame Sword from the Green Jade Paper and broke through into the first realm of the Mystic Heaven Five Realms.
  • Ning Jingjing ordered Elder Wei to copy the technique and have every Jiujiu Legion warrior learn it as their exclusive sword technique.

Ch. 266I've Seen a Dark Wing Dragon Eagle

Sikong Jing defeated Lan Zhuanghe’s troops and revealed that his Dark Wing Black Flame Sword inscriptions carried the will of a Dark Wing Dragon Eagle, helping warriors break through. Ning Jingjing used the technique to strengthen the Ninety-Nine Legion, leaving its warriors advancing as Sikong Jing rapidly inscribed Green Jade Tubes.

  • Sikong Jing pretended to struggle against Lan Zhuanghe’s Black Armor Warriors to demonstrate his swordsmanship, then swiftly knocked them all from their horses.
  • Lan Zhuanghe attacked Sikong Jing, but Ning Jingjing appeared, defeated him, and challenged him to either leave or attack the castle.
  • Ning Jingjing asked Sikong Jing why his sword inscriptions helped warriors break through, and he explained that he had seen a Dark Wing Dragon Eagle.
  • Ning Jingjing ordered Sikong Jing to inscribe Green Jade Tubes so the Ninety-Nine Legion could prepare to counterattack Lan Zhuanghe.
  • Sikong Jing quickly inscribed the tubes, and warriors across the Ninety-Nine Legion continued breaking through.

Ch. 267Turning the Tables, Counter-Siege on Lan Zhuanghe

Ning Jingjing’s Ninety-Ninth Legion counterattacked Lan Zhuanghe’s forces using Sikong Jing’s improved Dark Wing Black Flame Sword and trapped them inside the Ninety-Sixth Legion’s castle. Sikong Jing then devised a plan to exploit Lan Zhuanghe’s hatred of him, and several disguised soldiers began climbing the walls and claiming to be him.

  • Lan Zhuanghe refused to seek Marshal Yan’s help and planned to starve Ning Jingjing into surrendering Sikong Jing.
  • After the Ninety-Ninth Legion learned the Dark Wing Black Flame Sword, Ning Jingjing led a dawn attack that routed Lan Zhuanghe’s unprepared forces.
  • Ning Jingjing surrounded the Ninety-Sixth Legion’s castle and taunted Lan Zhuanghe, who accused her troops of using an unauthorized sword technique.
  • Sikong Jing offered the Flowing Cloud Beast Technique and proposed disguising similar-looking soldiers as himself so they could scale the walls and draw Lan Zhuanghe’s attention.
  • Ning Jingjing put the plan into action, and multiple disguised soldiers climbed onto the walls and were taken to Lan Zhuanghe as Sikong Jing.

Ch. 268Ning Jingjing, You've Gone Far Enough

Sikong Jing used a swarm of look-alikes to open Ninety-Six Castle’s gates, allowing Ning Jingjing’s forces to capture Lan Zhuanghe and the Ninety-Sixth Legion. Yan Shun arrived as Ning Jingjing threatened Lan, and Lan accused her of siding with an outsider, prompting her to raise her sword again.

Ch. 269The Ninety-Sixth Legion, I Don't Want It Anymore

Ning Jingjing won the Ninety-Sixth Legion’s fortress but refused Yan Shun’s demand that she kill Sikong Jing to claim its command token. She left with Sikong Jing and her troops, while Yan Shun tried to preserve Lan Zhuanghe’s position and Lan remained determined to avenge his brother.

  • Yan Shun stopped Ning Jingjing from attacking Lan Zhuanghe, made Lan apologize, and ordered him to surrender the Ninety-Sixth Legion’s command token.

  • Ning Jingjing refused the offer and led Sikong Jing and the Ninety-Nine Legion away from the fortress.
  • Sikong Jing reminded Yan Shun that Yan had cast him out of the army, and Ning Jingjing said the story of his role in the victory would spread through the Black Burn Army.

At the restaurant entrance, Gu Wei’s men forced Sikong Jing to surrender everything he carried, leaving him with only his clothes.

  • Sikong Jing contributed Fire-Bone Dragon Spear to the Holy Dragon Palace and gained enough points to borrow a third-realm demon dragon for a day.
  • Sikong Jing selected a Thunderwing Dragon Serpent after studying a demon dragon core, then rode it toward the Long Night Imperial Capital while secretly examining its power and developing beast skills.

  • Sikong Jing defeated Gu Wei in one blow, revealed he had reached the Innate Martial Scripture Realm, and seized him as a hostage.
  • Gu Wei ordered his men to attack Mei Xiaofang, so Sikong Jing broke two of Gu Wei's fingers and threatened to cripple his dantian.
