Background / History

Yue Shen originated in the Yin-Yang School’s world, where she was known as Luna. Zhao Linchuan chose to summon her and Yan Fei into the Douluo Continent, granting them the ability to adapt to its martial-soul system. 6 8 9

After studying General Knowledge of Spirit Masters through the night, she recognized that the continent’s greatest resources were monopolized by sects, empires, and Spirit Hall. Rather than being discouraged, she resolved to make herself indispensable to Zhao Linchuan and secure power before Yan Fei could surpass her. 12

She pledged herself to Zhao Linchuan, declaring that she would rather remain alone for life than serve another if he rejected her. In response, he supplied her with God-Bestowed Soul Rings and Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bones, while warning her not to let jealousy drive her to harm Yan Fei. 19
