Tang San originally lived in the Tang Sect World as an outer-sect disciple of the Tang Sect. Adopted by Grand Elder Tang, he excelled in the outer sect’s teachings and crafted a Godly Zhuge Crossbow, but inner-sect disciples bullied him and dismissed his work. He opposed the sect’s rigid division between inner and outer disciples and wanted to change its stagnant status quo. 162

After arriving in the Douluo Continent, he grew up in Holy Soul Village under Tang Hao’s care. At age six, he awakened Blue Silver Grass and Innate Full Soul Power; he later discovered that he also possessed the Clear Sky Hammer. 322 323

Tang San enrolled at Notting Soul Master Academy under Yu Xiaogang’s guidance. Yu Xiaogang recognized both his Innate Full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls, while Tang San learned that his stalled Mysterious Heaven Skill required soul rings to progress in this world. 327 331
