Nothing happened that night.
At dawn the next day, after having lunch in the restaurant of the Big Top, Buggy asked everyone for their opinions. Except for Nilek, the "homebody," who volunteered to stay on the ship, the rest of them agreed to go and explore the town on the island.
Putting aside personal factors, isn't it natural to have thoughts of tourism, sightseeing, and adventure when you arrive in a new place?
Based on Lilina's understanding of the Crown Archipelago, there is a market in the southwest of the island, which should be the most crowded place on the island, so it naturally became the destination of this visit.
After Buggy and his group left the coast and headed towards the market, the surroundings gradually fell silent again, with only the occasional sound of waves crashing against the shore and the sea breeze remaining.
About ten minutes later, a black-flagged pirate ship slowly approached the coast from the north.
The pirate ship had the carcass of a sea monster hanging on its side. On the deck, a blond man with thick braids held a pirate dagger and led a group of pirates in singing a loud battle song, as if they had just experienced something good.
"Captain, an island has been spotted ahead, along with a pirate ship anchored on the shore!" The lookout lowered his binoculars and shouted towards the deck.
"How many people are on that pirate ship?" the blond man with the braid asked.
"Captain, the ship... appears to be completely deserted!" The lookout's tone became slightly more excited.
"No one's here... Excellent!" The Golden Braid captain paused for a moment, then a look of smug satisfaction appeared on his face. He shouted, "Full sails! Full speed ahead of that pirate ship!"
Immediately, the sailors hoisted the sails halfway up, and the pirate ship's speed increased even further. In just a moment, it approached the shore and drew near the Big Top.
"This ship..."
When the captain with the Golden Braid saw the Big Top's cool appearance and Haki blue and white colors up close, his eyes widened. He had never seen such a mechanically beautiful pirate ship before, and a bold idea arose in his mind. He looked up at the Red Nose and crossbones pirate flag at the top of the mast and thought about the owner of that flag.
Then, the thought that was growing stronger in his mind grew stronger and stronger. This pirate flag that he had no recollection of must just be some third-rate pirate crew... Even if he took over this pirate ship and replaced it with his own pirate flag, he would have absolutely no worries!
Upon realizing this, the man with the Golden Braid shouted with great vigor, "Guys, it's time to get to work! Let's seize that pirate ship!"
"Oh!!!"
The pirates on deck brandished their swords and shouted, full of imposing manner. Several sailors threw grappling hooks with all their might, suspending them on the railings of the Big Top, forming a rope bridge that people could cross.
Several agile pirate vanguards were about to climb over the rope when a bald man on the distant beach quickly approached. He glanced at the two pirate ships with a puzzled look, then leaped up and chose to jump onto the deck of the ship with the Golden Braid.
Looking at the hostile pirates surrounding him, the bald man smirked coldly. "I don't know why there are two ships, but it'd be better to take out the one with more men first..."
"Who are you?" The woman with the Golden Braid pushed aside the pirate blocking her way and looked warily at the bald man.
"The guy Joker sent, all you need to remember is my name, Javen... that's all."
As soon as he finished speaking, Javen charged into the crowd like a wolf among sheep. He was unarmed, and every blow he struck was accompanied by a violent explosion, taking the lives of one pirate after another.
The swarming pirates were clearly outmatched by Javen's killing speed. The man with the Golden Braid, who had been feigning composure, finally couldn't maintain his composure any longer. If this continued, he'd be left all alone. This tough guy named Javen... could he be from that pirate ship next to them?!
"Get out of the way! All of you, get out of the way!" The Golden Braid was both shocked and furious, pointing his pirate dagger at Javen. "You... you killed so many of my men, you won't leave here alive!"
"Leave alive?" Javen sneered. "I should be the one saying that. You'd all die here!"
"You boastful bastard, I'm Osbu, with a bounty of forty-two million!"
Enraged, the golden Golden Braid billowed wildly, their hair flying wildly even without wind. He raised his pirate dagger and charged towards Javen.
Javen clenched his right fist and unleashed a powerful punch, " Blast Punch!"
boom!!
With a deafening explosion and billowing dust, the man with the Golden Braid, his eyes rolled back and his body charred black, was sent flying backward off the deck and crashed into the sea with a splash. His fate remains unknown.
With many of their brothers dead and even the captain no match for the enemy, the remaining pirate henchmen had no will to fight. They threw down their weapons and fled into the sea in panic.
Javen frowned as he looked at the situation on the deck. "Something's not right... How could Joker's men be so weak? This pirate captain doesn't have the strength to kill Sea Kings from this distance with a slash. These people are just ordinary pirates, not assassins sent by Joker..."
With that thought in mind, he lost interest in chasing the pirates who had escaped from the deck and instead turned to look at the Big Top.
Hearing the commotion outside, Shan Shan walked out of the laboratory and came to the deck. Nilek stared blankly at the grappling hook on the ship's railing, his gaze following the hook towards the pirate ship, looking completely bewildered.
"Hmm... what happened? Why did they suddenly start fighting? And... who is that fierce-looking bald guy...?"
"A ragdoll dog...?" Javen stared intently at Nilek, pacing towards Nilek. "So it really was sent by the Joker. I heard the leader mention the Joker's true identity a long time ago. Are you a toy assassin under the Toy King who can actually move? Then you should be able to talk, right..."
"Hey, hey, hey, don't come any closer! What do you want?" Seeing Javen approach, Nilek's tone became noticeably flustered.
Javen looked at Nilek with a confirming gaze, pressing closer. "Looks like it was right... He really is a talking toy killer."
"Don't come any closer, people will die..." Nilek took two steps back with his short legs.
Javen remained unmoved, his gaze intense. "Besides you, where are the other toy killers?"
"What toy killer...?" As Javen drew closer, Nilek finally heard what he was saying.
"Since you want to hide it... I'll find out myself!"
"Hey, hey, hey... people can really die!" Nilek waved frantically at Javen.
Javen sneered, instantly bursting into high speed and charging towards Nilek.
beep beep...
With a sound like an alarm clock striking, a blue Lightning Flash beam, seemingly from nowhere, pierced Javen's chest in a flash, creating huge waves on the distant sea.
Javen's body stopped, and he suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood. He stared at Nilek with wide, incredulous eyes, feeling his life force and strength slowly draining away with the blood loss from the burning, painful wound in his chest.
Nilek sighed. "Didn't I just tell you? People will die..."
As it spoke, it waved to Spar, who was standing on the upper deck, and the latter spread its pure white wings and jumped down.
Following the instructions Nilek displayed in his mind via radio waves, Spar tossed the helpless Javen into the sea. Nilek then cleared the grappling hooks from the ship before cautiously muttering, " The Blue Sea is truly a terrible and terrifying place... I'd better moor the ship in a secluded spot..."
