Background / History

Rhodes Island originated from Babel, the faction loyal to Kazdel's Crown Princess Theresia during the civil war against her brother, Regent Theresis. While planning their escape from Kazdel, Theresia's followers excavated an ancient ground battleship beneath Leithanien, named it Rhodes Island, and used it as their mobile base. Theresia was later assassinated during the escape after the mercenaries escorting Babel were wiped out by the Regent's forces. 510

After Babel lost Theresia, key combat personnel, and the Doctor, Kal'tsit reorganized the remaining group into the present Rhodes Island. She became its most stable foundation during the following years, while Amiya inherited the formal leadership of the organization. 342 344

Publicly, Rhodes Island is a recently registered and relatively obscure pharmaceutical company. It operates a complete medical and scientific-research system, treats Oripathy patients, and maintains an armed force despite its modest corporate profile. 8 38

Mission and Principles

Rhodes Island treats Infected people and handles Oripathy-related incidents across Terra. Its medication is provided to Infected people free of charge and is not sold commercially. Players who attempted to steal its special inhibitors from overseas camps were later eliminated by dispatched elite operators. 9

The organization maintains political neutrality, allowing it to enter various countries and establish branch offices. This neutrality also prevents it from relying on political asylum when international conditions worsen. 31

Kal'tsit describes Rhodes Island's continued work as the preservation of Theresia's ideal: a world in which everyone can sleep peacefully at night. 303
