Background
Talulah was born to Edward, a pure-blooded Red Dragon, and a mother descended from Yan’s True Lung lineage. Her father died before she was born, while her mother later died after remarrying under pressure. As a child, Talulah was abducted from Lungmen by Duke Koschei, the immortal Black Serpent, who raised her as both a successor and a vessel for his designs. 390 483 500 511
She deliberately became Infected by piercing her arm with Originium to gain enough power to overthrow Koschei. Although she killed him, Koschei’s spirit survived through a parasitic curse that could seize her body whenever her convictions collapsed. 166 425
Before meeting Bai Ye, Talulah had built Reunion into a community containing fighters, civilians, and children rather than solely an armed force. She sought to unite the Infected through shared ideals and refused to execute those who left the group, earning Patriot’s loyalty. 46 54
Appearance
Talulah is a white-haired mixed-blood Dolak with the physical traits of both the Red Dragon and Yan Lung bloodlines. She originally wore an Ursus noble military uniform, but later also adopts dresses and formal clothing. 47 500 606
- Shorter horns than a pure-blooded Dolak, influenced by her Yan Lung ancestry. 483
- A thin, long tail resembling Chen’s rather than a pure-blooded Dolak’s. 483
- Naturally elevated body temperature and powerful heat-based Arts that make her unaffected by cold weather. 47 500
- Commonly associated with a military uniform and a blazing greatsword. 47 76
Personality
Talulah is an idealist who believes the Infected need dignity, unity, and a place to live rather than an army held together by fear. Her willingness to trust others and give power freely inspires loyalty, but also leaves her vulnerable to betrayal and manipulation. 54 392
Koschei’s curse exploits moments of despair, hatred, and self-doubt. Talulah is keenly aware that one serious failure could allow him to turn her into his puppet, making her initially fearful of her own emotions and the possibility of destroying Reunion herself. 51
After Koschei’s defeat, she becomes more pragmatic without abandoning her ideals. She manages Core City’s affairs, considers the long-term future of its residents, refuses politically destabilizing power, and accepts responsibility for representing her territory beyond Ursus. 222 391 598
Abilities & Skills
Heat-Based Originium Arts
Talulah’s Arts generate overwhelming heat and flame. Her combat output is sufficient to melt rock into magma, scorch weapons, and leave the battlefield molten even after a brief engagement. 76 169 171
- Can wield a blazing greatsword while fighting. 76
- Her fire Arts can create temperatures dangerous enough that FrostNova is assigned to counter them during the operation against Koschei. 166
- Her heat can rapidly melt the ground, producing glass-like terrain after cooling. 171
- Her body’s naturally high temperature makes her resistant to cold environments. 47 500
Arts Theory and Combat Training
Koschei gave Talulah a noble education that included combat, swordsmanship, and Originium Arts. Her theoretical foundation in Arts is notably strong. 127 222
- Can discuss and apply formal Originium Arts theory. 127
- Maintains combat training despite spending most of her time on administration. 569 606
- Her swordsmanship is functional but leans toward aristocratic ceremonial sword-dance rather than Bai Ye’s practical combat style. 569
- She admits that Yelena’s continued training may have surpassed her own current combat readiness. 606
Leadership and Political Judgment
Talulah leads through personal example, ideological work, and direct responsibility for the Infected under her protection. 54 222
- Helped convert her noble identity from a potential source of division within Reunion into a tool for building trust. 81 108
- Shifted from leading a mobile armed organization to governing Chernobog Core City. 222
- Refused to inherit Victoria’s royal key because her Red Dragon lineage, Ursus title, and possession of the national sword could destabilize multiple countries. 391
- Chose to represent the Marquisate at the International Summit despite the political risks attached to her identity. 598
