Old Robert's arrival greatly improved the atmosphere in the ward. After chatting with them for a while longer, Gavin finally left the room and made the rounds of the other wards.
After visiting every seriously wounded patient, Gavin did not leave the hospital until nearly noon.
As he passed through the residential area, the guys had already started eating. Although most post-apocalyptic families chose to cook for themselves,
there were still seventy or eighty people gathered around the food area prepared by logistics, filling their plates with the cooks' food and chatting as they ate nearby.
When they saw Gavin coming out of the hospital, the guys who were eating all froze.
Someone immediately put down his plate and ran over from afar, coming to Gavin's side and asking quietly,
"Boss, why did you come out of the hospital? Were you hurt?"
"No. Thanks for your concern, but the person capable of hurting me hasn't shown up yet."
Gavin answered confidently, then waved at the others from afar before striding back to the manor.
He had barely entered the hall when the two guards at the entrance saluted him.
Inside the hall, Eugene, who had been sitting on the sofa, suddenly sprang to his feet. He darted over to Martin on the left, threw an arm around Martin's shoulders, and said to Gavin,
"Haha, Boss, get over here and hear some fucking good news!"
"Guess what this bastard Martin found today!"
"He actually found a herd of pigs—at least fifty of them—in the forest right next to fucking Hall Town!"
"Who knows what those pigs had been eating. They weren't exactly fat and plump, but they weren't skinny either. They were definitely going to smell amazing on the grill!"
