Frieza: What Year Is It Now?

Frieza landed in a backflip, steadying himself, his teeth clenched in hatred.

But just as Frieza was about to counterattack, Sun Wukong threw another uppercut, striking him on the chin.

"Bang!"

Sun Wukong kicked Frieza, sending him flying backward.

Frieza stopped himself in midair at once, baring his teeth in rage. He raised a hand, and a streak of fiery red light shot from it.

"Whoosh!"

The streak shot toward Sun Wukong at incredible speed.

Sun Wukong didn't even try to dodge. He let the fiery red streak hit him on the chin.

His head tilted back slightly, then he straightened up as if nothing had happened and smiled at Frieza.

Frieza: "..."

Frieza was utterly stunned, trembling with fear.

"Y-you... could you really be a Super Saiyan?" Frieza cried, his lips quivering uncontrollably.

"Yeah." Sun Wukong nodded, then scratched his head, looking a little troubled. "This won't do, Frieza. You're too weak! I surpassed you without even trying... Even if you used all your power now, I'm afraid you still wouldn't be a match for me! But all things considered, I still have you to thank!"

"Y-you... what did you say?" Frieza flew into a rage, trembling from head to toe.

Was that any way to talk to someone?

"You... you could've turned into a Super Saiyan a long time ago, couldn't you?" Frieza glared at him, his fists clenched tight.

"Yeah!" Sun Wukong nodded. "So come fight me again once you've finished training!"

"Y-you... what do you mean? Are you humiliating me?" Frieza fumed.

"I mean you're not strong enough yet!" Sun Wukong answered honestly. "I think you should train some more, then I'll fight you again!"

"Y-you..." Frieza trembled with rage.

"You shouldn't go to Namek, either. Train here, and once you're ready, I'll come find you again." Sun Wukong smiled.

"You..." Frieza seethed. "You, stop right there!"

"Is something else the matter?" Sun Wukong asked, taken aback.

"Hmph. You think I'd lose to you?" Frieza sneered, then suddenly smiled. "I can survive in outer space. Can you Saiyans?"

As he spoke, Frieza didn't hesitate for a moment. He unleashed a gigantic Planet Destroyer Bomb and hurled it toward the planet's surface.

I, Frieza, will never allow a Super Saiyan to remain alive in this world.

I'll wipe him out completely.

"Destroy this planet!" Frieza roared.

The Planet Destroyer Bomb surged with tremendous force, hurtling toward the ground of Frieza Planet 79 at incredible speed.

If all went as expected, the Planet Destroyer Bomb would blow up the planet the moment it hit.

Zarbon: "..."

Dodoria: "..."

The two of them trembled with fear.

With their power levels, even if Zarbon and Dodoria could survive in outer space, they would still die in the planet's explosion.

Sun Wukong: "..."

"Whoosh!"

Sun Wukong appeared beneath the falling energy sphere in an instant and kicked it upward.

"Whoosh!"

The Planet Destroyer Bomb Frieza had unleashed shot high into the sky from Sun Wukong's kick, wobbling away until it vanished from sight.

Frieza was utterly stunned, his expression growing even grimmer.

"Whoosh!"

Sun Wukong appeared behind Frieza in the blink of an eye and struck the back of his neck with a chop.

"Whump!"

Frieza's mind went blank. He crumpled to the ground, unconscious.

"Didn't I tell you not to destroy the planet? Why won't you listen?" Sun Wukong shook his head, then turned his gaze toward Zarbon and Dodoria, who were trembling with fear.

When Sun Wukong's gaze fell on them, their faces turned green with fear. They clung to each other, the corners of their mouths twitching.

"Hey, you two." Sun Wukong returned to his normal form and greeted them.

Their hair stood on end, and a freezing chill shot from the soles of their feet to the tops of their heads.

"Tell Frieza to train here once he wakes up. He shouldn't go to Namek looking for the Dragon Balls anymore. Got it?" Sun Wukong told them.

Zarbon and Dodoria nodded vigorously, afraid Sun Wukong would kill them if they were too slow.

"Whoosh!"

After saying that, Sun Wukong used Instant Transmission and vanished.

A full minute after Sun Wukong had left Frieza Planet 79, Zarbon and Dodoria finally began to recover.

They exchanged a glance and suddenly felt the blissful relief of having survived a disaster.

That Super Saiyan... had actually let us go?

Terrifying. Absolutely terrifying!

So this was a Super Saiyan!

Lord Frieza was no match for him at all.

The two of them shuffled forward and gently nudged Frieza a few times.

"Ah..."

Frieza shuddered, then abruptly opened his eyes, his pupils contracting sharply.

But a moment later, a look of confusion appeared in Frieza's eyes. He stared blankly at Zarbon and Dodoria.

"Zarbon? Dodoria?" Frieza's mind felt foggy.

"Lord Frieza!"

Zarbon and Dodoria hurriedly knelt and bowed, trembling with fear.

Lord Frieza had just been beaten into such a sorry state. His mighty, glorious image was ruined. Would he kill the two of us to keep it quiet?

"Where are we?" Frieza looked around, his brow furrowing as he asked.

Zarbon and Dodoria exchanged a glance.

Lord Frieza, did that Super Saiyan... damage your brain?

"This... this is your Planet 79, Lord Frieza!" Zarbon summoned his courage and answered, bracing himself.

"Planet 79? Isn't this hell?" Frieza's expression stiffened, and he looked even more bewildered.

Zarbon: "????"

Dodoria: "????"

The two of them were even more confused.

At the same time, they were sure Lord Frieza's brain must have been damaged.

"What's wrong with my body? Why does everything hurt?" Frieza asked again.

Zarbon and Dodoria exchanged another glance, their eyes full of wariness.

They absolutely couldn't say the wrong thing.

Lord Frieza was furious right now. If they told him a Super Saiyan had beaten him up, he might take his anger out on them.

"When did you two come back to life?" Frieza asked, looking at them strangely instead of dwelling on his aches and pains.

Zarbon: "????"

Dodoria: "????"

The two of them were baffled once more.

Lord Frieza, what are you talking about?

What do you mean, when did we come back to life?

"We... we never died, Lord Frieza..." Dodoria answered, gathering his courage.

"Never died?" Frieza's pupils narrowed slightly. Suddenly realizing something, he hurriedly asked, "What year is it now?"

Zarbon and Dodoria exchanged another glance, feeling completely bewildered.

Lord Frieza, the Super Saiyan has already appeared!
