Before anyone else could react, Yu quickly formed Hand Seals.

He unleashed a torrent of water from his mouth, forming a wall like a crashing wave. It swept around in a circle, enclosing all five of them and holding back every attack from the surrounding area.

The Water Release Yu had unleashed in an instant blocked all the incoming shuriken and kunai. Explosive tags kept detonating against the Water Wall.

"Besides the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist... are there other enemies too?!"

Standing inside the Water Wall Yu had created, Kurenai Yuhi, Might Duy, and the others immediately drew their kunai and warily prepared for battle.

"To use Water Release Ninjutsu this skillfully in a place without water..."

Dozens of ninja had gathered on the grass beyond the forest, though no one knew when they had arrived.

The Forehead Protectors they wore marked them as Kirigakure ninja. The middle-aged Mist ninja standing at the front spoke up.

"So many Mist ninja?"

"Kirigakure actually sent this many people!"

The surging Water Wall finally fell. Seeing dozens of Mist ninja suddenly appear on the grass before them, Guy and Ebisu's expressions changed dramatically.

"What's going on? Just how many reinforcements did Konoha send..."

"How could those lords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist fail to deal with these brats?"

Looking at Yu and the others, who had successfully escaped the forest, one of the Mist ninja frowned in confusion. The sounds of fierce fighting continued to rumble from within the forest.

At the jonin's command, the Mist ninja before Yu and the others grinned bloodthirstily. "Let's go! Rip those brats' heads off as fast as you can!"

"Follow me!"

"Break those Konoha brats' limbs! Show them what a real ninja is!"

The battle was about to erupt, and the ground trembled.

The dozens of Mist ninja charged toward the five of them, their faces twisted into savage grins.

"There are too many of them. We can't escape!"

Seeing the spiral high-pressure water jet appear in the hand of the youngest Konoha boy, the Mist jonin felt a powerful sense of unease. He immediately shouted to the Mist ninja around him, "Get out of the way! That Water Release..."

Before he could finish, Yu hurled the high-pressure water jet.

The Mist jonin reacted in time, using the Body Flicker Technique as he crossed his arms in front of himself and sped backward.

A tremendous force flung him away. After a deafening rumble, the Mist jonin saw the high-pressure water jet Yu had thrown vanish into thin air midway through its flight.

A moment later, it appeared again, suddenly forming a colossal waterspout. Its terrifying force sucked in more than a dozen Mist ninja, shredded them, then flung their remains back out.

Blood spread across the grass.

The thunderous waterspout gradually faded. A lake now covered the grass before them, and more than a dozen ninja lay dead nearby, their bodies mangled beyond recognition. The remaining Mist ninja stared in disbelief.

"Damn it, he can use Water Release Ninjutsu of that caliber... That Konoha brat is no pushover."

He drew the long sword from his back, used the Body Flicker Technique, and raced across the grass toward Yu.
