Ling Yu joined Spirit Hall as Bibi Dong’s disciple, trained his body and lightning abilities, and obtained a powerful first soul ring with an External Soul Bone. He grew closer to Hu Liena and agreed to join her group’s upcoming Soul Ring hunt while learning Shadow Clone Jutsu.

• Ling Yu discovered his grandfather’s package contained a Rumble-Rumble Fruit, a strange scale, and a book, then vanished with the items after touching the scale.
• After awakening his Sharingan with Innate Full Soul Power, Ling Yu joined Spirit Hall and became Bibi Dong’s second disciple.
• Ling Yu trained under gravity and used lightning to temper his body until he completed Body Tempering and prepared to obtain his first soul ring.
• Bibi Dong took Ling Yu to Sacred Soul Forest, where he killed a Three-Eyed Golden Phoenix and began absorbing its soul ring.
• Ling Yu’s aura made Soul Beasts across the continent bow, and he gained the Golden Eye Fury skill and an External Soul Bone.
• Ling Yu met Hu Liena, overcame her Charm, and joined her for lunch with Bibi Dong before she asked him to accompany her, Xie Yue, and Yan on a Soul Ring hunt.

Ling Yu grew stronger after receiving Grandmist Violet Qi, became Spirit Hall’s Holy Son, and traveled with Gu Yuena to Heaven Dou City. There he helped her obtain her first Soul Ring and learned that Qian Renxue was the Crown Prince in disguise and Bibi Dong’s daughter.

• Ling Yu defeated Yan in a spar, then traveled with Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Xie Yue obtained his third Soul Ring.
• After Ling Yu and his companions discovered Gu Yuena in the forest, they encountered Evil Soul Masters who had massacred a village, and Ling Yu killed them before helping bury the villagers.
• The Yinglong phantom rewarded Ling Yu with Grandmist Violet Qi, which transformed his body, improved his abilities, and helped him recover from the effects of his Sharingan breakthrough.
• Gu Yuena awakened a Silver Spear Martial Soul with Innate Full Soul Power, while Bibi Dong confessed her love for Ling Yu and he decided to travel with Gu Yuena to consider his feelings.
• Qian Daoliu appointed Ling Yu the Holy Son, and Ning Fengzhi and others learned of Spirit Hall’s new appointment as Ling Yu and Gu Yuena set out for Heaven Dou City.
• At an auction, Ling Yu bought Whale Rubber, a storage bracelet for Gu Yuena, and a mysterious stone block, then met Ning Fengzhi and Sword Douluo Chen Xin.
• Ling Yu took Gu Yuena to Sunset Forest, where she absorbed a Purple Jade Bamboo Soul Ring and gained Unstoppable Force, reaching level twelve.
• Qian Renxue revealed her identity as the disguised Crown Prince and asked Ling Yu to join her, then told him that Bibi Dong was her mother.

Ling Yu returned home, mourned his grandfather, and then trained for three years in the Labyrinth Grand Canyon before returning to Spirit Hall. His hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest led to a battle with Evil Soul Masters, the discovery of the Gold of Life, and the beginning of Wufeng’s account of the Unsharpened Sword’s legacy.

• Ling Yu reunited with his ailing grandfather, spent his final days with him, and mourned him for a hundred days after his death.
• Ling Yu absorbed a Three-Eyed Demonic Dragon soul ring, then entered the Labyrinth Grand Canyon despite Bibi Dong’s warnings and fought his way through its Evil Soul Masters.
• Ling Yu rescued Hu Liena, Yan, and Xie Yue from a Soul King, continued training in the canyon, and eventually reached level thirty before returning to Bibi Dong.
• Ling Yu reunited with Na'er and joined her and Hu Liena on a trip to the Star Dou Great Forest, where Scarlet King confronted him and a wounded Demonic Eye Peacock chose him as its successor.
• Ling Yu absorbed the Demonic Eye Peacock’s soul ring and head soul bone energy, evolving his Sharingan and gaining the Demonization skill.
• Ling Yu and Yue Guan joined Scarlet King, the Titan Giant Ape, and the Sky Azure Bull Python in fighting three Evil Soul Master Titled Douluo, and Ling Yu found the Gold of Life in their blood-filled array.
• Di Tian drove off the intruding creature and told Ling Yu to use the Gold of Life, which awakened the purple sword Wufeng from the sword-shaped stone.
• Wufeng asked Ling Yu to inherit the Unsharpened Sword’s legacy and began recounting the sword’s origin and the invasion of Douluo Continent by another plane.

Ling Yu joined Shrek Academy, then left for Heaven Dou City to reunite with Liu Erlong and seek Dugu Bo’s help with his poison. At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Ling Yu and Liu Erlong gained new powers, while the Unsharpened Sword recovered strength and Ling Yu advanced his cultivation.

• The Unsharpened Sword Spirit explained Wufeng’s sacrifice and set Ling Yu to train with the five-thousand-kilogram sword, while Bibi Dong supported Ling Yu’s decision to leave Spirit City.
• Ling Yu and Na'er arrived at Shrek Academy, where Ling Yu defeated Dai Mubai and impressed the examiners with his soul rings before he and Na'er passed Zhao Wuji’s test.
• Ling Yu fought Zhao Wuji in a spar that exhausted them both, then settled into Shrek Academy and gave Flender five hundred thousand Gold Soul Coins to support the school.
• After hearing Flender’s account of Liu Erlong and Yu Xiaogang, Ling Yu traveled to Heaven Dou City and reunited with Liu Erlong at Blue Tyrant Academy.
• Ling Yu offered to cure Dugu Bo and his granddaughter in exchange for medicinal herbs, then followed Dugu Bo and Liu Erlong to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
• Ling Yu absorbed the spring’s power and the Dragon Kings’ divine energy, restoring the Unsharpened Sword and learning about its Fusion and Devouring abilities.
• Ling Yu proved he could neutralize the Nine-Section Jade’s venom, began treating Dugu Bo, and gave Liu Erlong a Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower that evolved her Martial Soul and raised her to level 88.
• Ling Yu condensed his Spiritual Power into liquid, absorbed the two Dragon Balls and the Gold of Life, and completed seven hundred sword swings before dawn.
