Ling Yu strengthened his powers, deepened his bond with Gu Yuena, and helped Shrek prepare for the growing threat of Evil Soul Masters and the Abyss Plane. The arc ended at Ning Rongrong’s birthday banquet, where Ling Yu identified a suspicious Fire Leopard Sect vice sect master as a possible source of information.

• Ling Yu helped Dugu Bo detoxify Dugu Yanyan, reached level 40, and evolved his Sharingan into the Mangekyo Sharingan before defeating the Golden-Eyed Demonic Ape and absorbing its soul ring.
• Ling Yu returned to Shrek, learned of the Anti-Evil Soul Master Alliance, and accepted Gu Yuena as both Na'er and the Silver Dragon King while asking her not to harm innocent humans.
• Ling Yu received the Unsharpened Sword’s inheritance, experienced Wufeng’s past, and learned that an invading plane might arrive within five years.
• Ling Yu gave Immortal Grasses to Shrek students, strengthening their cultivation, then helped the group face the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger with Daming and Erming.
• Ling Yu wounded the tiger with Heaven Sword, survived its life-and-death arena, and seized its Evil God Orb before helping Gu Yuena absorb a ten-thousand-year soul ring.
• Ling Yu traveled to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, received a Whale Pearl from Ning Fengzhi, and refused his proposal that Ling Yu pursue Ning Rongrong because he loved Gu Yuena and feared the coming war.
• Ling Yu learned that the Abyss Plane was empowering Evil Soul Masters to distract the continent’s experts, and he promised Ning Rongrong only to protect the Seven Treasure legacy if he survived.
• At Ning Rongrong’s birthday banquet, Ling Yu revealed his Soul Ancestor rank, sensed the Fire Leopard Sect vice sect master’s killing intent, and decided the man could provide information.

Ling Yu uncovered the Abyss’s influence, prepared Shrek for the danger, and traveled to the Extreme North to hunt Evil Soul Masters and grow stronger. After helping Shui Bing’er obtain a soul ring, he remained behind to face three Holy Spirit Cult Elders.

• Ling Yu defeated the Fire Leopard Sect Vice-Sect Master and an Evil Soul Master Titled Douluo, then learned the Evil Soul Masters had recruited traitorous factions and might be opening a passage to the Abyss Plane.
• Ling Yu helped Ning Rongrong transform her martial soul into the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, then admitted Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Zhu Zhuqing to Shrek after testing their strength.
• Tang Hao recounted Qian Xunji’s transformation and the attack on the Clear Sky Sect, and Ling Yu deduced that the Abyss had manipulated events to control the King of Slaughter.
• Ling Yu arranged for Shrek to relocate to Heaven Dou City, then transferred Blue Tyrant Academy through Yu Luomian and set out for the Extreme North to improve his swordsmanship.
• In Ice City, Ling Yu joined Shui Wuxin and the Skywater Academy girls on a trip into the Extreme North, where he killed groups of concealed Evil Soul Masters while they hunted a soul ring for Shui Bing’er.
• Shui Bing’er and Xue Wu fused into an Ice Phoenix, killed a 4,500-year-old Ice Crystal Beast, and secured its soul ring while Ling Yu restrained stronger beasts.
• Ling Yu stayed behind when three Holy Spirit Cult Elders appeared with an army of Evil Soul Masters, and Hou Ming’s attacks forced him to defend with Susanoo and My Body as a Sword, Indestructible.
• Shi Xiao and Bing Yu prepared to attack Ling Yu alongside Hou Ming, with Shi Xiao revealing a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and Bing Yu summoning the Sword of Dark Judgment.

Ling Yu saved Ice City, trained under Snow Empress, and earned One-Eyed’s sacrifice as his fifth soul ring and two soul bones. As the Extreme North pledged its support, the Evil Soul Masters took control of the Star Luo Empire, bringing the coming war closer.

• Ling Yu and Snow Empress stopped the avalanche from burying Ice City, and Ling Yu realized the Evil Soul Masters had used the attack to distract their enemies from Star Luo Empire.
• Ling Yu traveled into the Extreme North with Snow Empress, Ice Empress, and A Tai, where he found Ten-Thousand-Year Ice Marrow and trained in swordsmanship with Snow Empress.
• Snow Empress agreed to let Ling Yu hunt One-Eyed, the wounded Bloodthirsty Tyrannosaurus, without help from her or the other rulers.
• Ling Yu met One-Eyed and learned that the dragon had survived past deaths, reached Quasi-God strength, and hoped to revive the Dragon Race.
• Ling Yu promised to help revive the Dragon Race, and One-Eyed sacrificed himself as Ling Yu’s fifth soul ring while granting him two soul bones and sealing much of his power.
• Ling Yu reached Soul Power level 57, and Snow Empress, Ice Empress, and A Tai pledged the Extreme North’s Soul Beasts to support him in the war against the Evil Soul Masters.
• Qian Xunji forced Dai Tianfeng to obey the Evil Soul Masters, while Dai Mubai and the Shrek students faced their attacks on civilians and learned that Star Luo Empire had fallen.
• Gu Yuena defeated Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun in their sparring match, and Flender divided the students into teams with tokens to summon reinforcements.
