Background / History

Tang Hao was previously identified by Bibi Dong as the Clear Sky Douluo who had dealt Spirit Hall a heavy blow and whose whereabouts were unknown. Spirit Hall believed that tracing Yu Xiaogang and Tang San could eventually lead to him. 20

He revealed himself in the Southwest Forest after Tang San and Yu Xiaogang fled Nuoding City. Facing Di Yao, Hu Liena, and Gui Mei, Tang Hao took Tang San and Yu Xiaogang away rather than prolonging the confrontation. He immediately regarded Di Yao as a threat who could not be allowed to live, judging him too calm, too talented, and too dangerous to Tang San's future. 30

After Tang San saw Di Yao's near-ten-thousand-year third soul ring, Tang Hao bluntly told him that he could not catch up through his original cultivation path. Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San and repeatedly risks confrontation with Spirit Hall forces to save him. He also extends that protection to Xiao Wu, returning to Soul-Falling Slope to force Di Yao to remove her mark and later attacking Heaven Dou Royal Academy and the Heaven Dou Spirit Hall Branch during attempts to rescue her. 30 106 114 124

His protection is tempered by harsh pragmatism. After Tang San exposed the Clear Sky Hammer, Tang Hao rebuked him for acting rashly, forbade him from independently contacting the Black Market, and required him to train with an ordinary iron hammer before relying on his true martial soul. 78

Tang Hao is willing to use ruthless methods to protect Tang San and the Clear Sky remnants.
