Chapters 103–128 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 103Life Return

Gray and Yamato fought King in Uta’s mental world while the others completed a plan to restrain him with Seastone Handcuffs. With King’s ability suppressed, Gray resumed the battle at full force and, after being seriously wounded, finally understood what had kept him from mastering Life Return; he charged back into the fight to test that insight.

  • Gray conserved his stamina while fighting King until Baby 5 and the Dwarves cuffed King with Seastone and Leo stitched him to the island.
  • Uta entered the mental world and told Gray the plan had succeeded, allowing him to fight King without holding back.
  • Gray and King traded powerful attacks in the sky while Yamato and Monet watched from the ground, and Gray searched for a way to break their stalemate.
  • Gray tried to master Life Return by fighting as if his life were truly at stake, but King struck him and sent him crashing to the ground.
  • After sensing his body’s instinct to heal, Gray realized that serious injuries had been what he needed to understand Life Return, then flew at King again.

Ch. 104Life Return Achieved

Gray mastered Life Return after enduring a battle with King inside Uta’s illusion, then captured King and launched him toward Elegia rather than killing him. After testing a Devil Fruit extraction device unsuccessfully, Gray taught Life Return to his companions, arranged a potion business with Doflamingo, and began training to strengthen his cells with bioelectricity.

  • Gray pushed himself through King’s attacks in the illusion and awakened Life Return, strengthening his limbs before Uta ended the illusion after Gray and Yamato were defeated.
  • Gray and Yamato confronted the captured King, and Gray hurled him toward Elegia before taking Green Bit airborne and heading for the Calm Belt.
  • Gray tested his Seastone Devil Fruit extraction box on an unconscious captive, but none of the surrounding fruit developed a pattern.
  • Gray used Life Return to digest a feast quickly and offered to teach the technique to Yamato and the others.
  • Gray contacted Doflamingo about the North Blue investigation and proposed selling healing potions made with Mansherry’s ability.
  • Gray began training Cell Rotation to generate bioelectricity and strengthen his cells.

Ch. 105Time to Eat!

Gray strengthened his body and Haki through training, taught the Six Powers to Yamato and the Tontatta Tribe, and hunted Sea Kings for food and healing supplies. On April 3, 1512, he learned that his target had arrived in the former Tartarus Kingdom and led everyone out to confront them.

  • Gray used Cell Rotation and Armament Haki to strengthen his cells and discovered that the process also slightly improved his Haki.
  • Gray trained Yamato in the Six Powers, and she quickly mastered all of them.
  • Gray and his crew froze the sea near the Calm Belt, hunted Sea Kings, and collected their meat and blood for supplies.
  • Gray and the Tontatta Tribe trained steadily, improving their physical strength, Haki, and combat skills.
  • Monet slipped into Gray's room at night, and the two became intimate.
  • Gray received word that his target had arrived in the former Tartarus Kingdom and set out with everyone to seek revenge.

Ch. 106Public Execution

Gray and Morgans arranged a worldwide live broadcast of Gray’s planned public execution of a Celestial Dragon, and Gray’s group attacked Saint Ross on Tartarus Island. After defeating the CP0 guards and freeing the slaves, Gray placed Saint Ross on an execution platform and prepared to begin the broadcast.

  • Gray told Morgans he planned to capture and publicly execute a Celestial Dragon, and Morgans agreed to arrange broadcast Den Den Mushi around the world.
  • Gray tested Magnetic Field Rotation and confirmed it could disrupt Den Den Mushi signals, then arrived above Tartarus Kingdom with the broadcast camera ready.
  • Gray, Yamato, Monet, and the others attacked Tartarus Island, defeated the CP agents, and captured Saint Ross while Gray’s group freed the slaves.
  • Gray healed Saint Ross and brought him outside, where he warned the former Tartarus residents that the island would soon become a battlefield and offered them refuge on Green Bit.
  • Yamato made an ice execution platform, and Gray forced the awakened Saint Ross onto it before calling the News Coo to begin broadcasting.

Ch. 107The Speech

Gray publicly executed a Celestial Dragon and used a worldwide broadcast to expose the World Government’s crimes, urge people to rise up, and offer Road Poneglyph and Pluton information in exchange for powerful targets’ heads. After awakening Conqueror’s Haki and having Uta sing to the world, Gray escaped with his allies as Kaido ordered a hunt for him.

  • Gray announced the Celestial Dragon’s public execution, shot his hand, and used the broadcast to reveal the Indigenous Extermination Tournament and the World Government’s abuses.
  • Gray killed the Celestial Dragon on live broadcast and called on the oppressed to resist the Celestial Dragons, nobles, kings, and Marines.
  • Gray awakened Conqueror’s Haki, and Uta sang an inspiring song for the people watching around the world.
  • Gray warned of rising sea levels and Uranus, then offered Road Poneglyph clues for Celestial Dragon heads and Pluton’s location for the head of a Marine leader or Elder.
  • Gray ended the broadcast and fled with his allies toward the Calm Belt, while Kaido ordered his forces to find and capture him.

Ch. 108The Impact

Gray’s broadcast triggered a crisis for the World Government, drove many Navy officers to resign, and set powerful figures searching for him. As Gray continued across the sea, he asked Morgans to locate the Celestial Dragons’ next hunting game so he could expose it and act against it.

  • Charlotte Linlin ordered Katakuri to mobilize the intelligence network and Underworld forces to find Gray, while the Five Elders reported the crisis to Imu.
  • Imu ordered the Five Elders to keep the Navy loyal, prepare the God's Knights, infiltrate kingdoms, expand the military, and eliminate Gray.
  • At Marineford, a Vice Admiral resigned after Sengoku and Tsuru stayed silent about the Navy’s role in the Celestial Dragons’ hunts, and roughly a quarter of the officers left the meeting.
  • Sengoku declared Gray and his companions wanted criminals, while Crocodile and Nico Robin decided to let others search for Pluton before making their move.
  • Shanks and Beckman headed for Sabaody to find Uta, Rayleigh said Gray was not Joy Boy, and Hancock reflected on her fear of opposing the Celestial Dragons.
  • Gray asked Morgans to discover where the Celestial Dragons would hold their next hunting game, and Morgans agreed to pursue the story.

Ch. 109The Kuja Arrive

Gray brought his crew to Rusukaina Island to train and planned to recruit Hancock, while arranging for the rescued slaves to settle and recover on Green Bit. Hancock led the Kuja to investigate Gray’s newly appeared island, and Gray sensed the approaching visitors.

  • Gray told Monet he would establish a base on a Sky Island and use the rescued slaves as its defense force, while settling them on Green Bit in the meantime.
  • Gray celebrated with his crew, then took Yamato and Monet to Rusukaina Island to train his Haki and physical strength.
  • Gray warned the others about Rusukaina’s dangerous beasts and unpredictable seasons, assigned Kyros and Leo their duties, and promised Uta, Sugar, and Baby 5 a visit to Amazon Lily if they trained hard.
  • A loud disturbance near Rusukaina prompted Sandersonia and Marigold to ask Hancock to investigate, and Hancock sensed powerful people on a newly appeared island beside Rusukaina.
  • As Gray and Yamato began hunting on Rusukaina, Gray noticed the approaching Kuja ship and paused to greet the visitors.

Ch. 110Boa Hancock

Gray, Yamato, and Monet met Hancock and the Kuja Pirates near Rusukaina, and Hancock made clear she would not help the World Government against them. After the groups agreed to be neighbors, Hancock brought Gray’s group supplies and blushed when he called her by her name.

  • Gray, Yamato, and Monet approached Hancock’s ship, and the two sides recognized each other as wary potential enemies.
  • Hancock stopped her sisters from attacking and declared that the World Government had no right to command her, then clashed Conqueror’s Haki with Yamato and Gray.
  • Gray and Yamato accepted Hancock’s sincerity, and the groups exchanged neighborly greetings before Gray’s party went to train on Rusukaina.
  • After returning to Amazon Lily, Hancock privately looked at the Celestial Dragon brand on her back, then kicked Gloriosa out when she barged into her room.
  • The next afternoon, Hancock brought Gray’s group food, clothing, and other supplies, then blushed when Gray asked if he could call her Hancock.

Ch. 111Issho's Sudden Arrival

Gray arranged for Doflamingo to sell his healing medicine, gather supplies, search for Kuma, and locate the Marines’ Dyna Stone. After meeting Issho in the sky, Gray explained his call for people to resist oppression, and Issho asked to join his guild.

  • Gray agreed with Doflamingo on medicine prices and asked him to find Kuma, locate the Dyna Stone, and prepare supplies for the freed slaves.
  • Gray delivered his medicine to Doflamingo in Dressrosa, arranged for part of the proceeds to buy Seastone, and departed with the supplies.
  • Hancock became lovesick while Gray was away, and Gloriosa and her sisters realized her condition was linked to Gray.
  • Gray encountered Issho near the Red Line, and Issho asked whether Gray’s revelations about the Celestial Dragons and the world were true.
  • Gray explained that people must resist oppression and fight for a fairer world, and Issho asked to join his guild.

Ch. 112Battle, the Results of a Year

After recruiting Hancock and arranging for Amazon Lily to relocate to a hidden Sky Island, Gray spent a year training his allies and improving his abilities. On April 3, 1513, he tested his growth in a fierce spar with Issho, with neither gaining the upper hand.

  • Gray visited the bedridden Hancock, saw the Celestial Dragon mark on her back, and invited her to join the Fairy Tail Guild and seek revenge against the Celestial Dragons; Hancock accepted.
  • Gray promised to move Amazon Lily to a hidden Sky Island within a year, and Gloriosa agreed to prepare the island and gather supplies.
  • Gray and Issho trained the Kuja warriors alongside their crew, while Uta gave them weekly combat practice in her spiritual world.
  • Monet teased Gray about the women who loved him and discussed the possibility of having children after the coming year.
  • On April 3, 1513, Gray challenged Issho to a spar and used his magnetic abilities, Haki, and teleportation to fight him at full power.
  • Gray and Issho traded blows without either gaining the advantage, while Hancock and Yamato bickered nearby and Monet tried to keep them from interrupting the fight.

Ch. 113An Inflated Bounty

After a year of training, Gray prepared Fairy Tail to leave Green Bit, sent Issho to collect supplies and news from Dressrosa, and learned the World Government had issued inflated bounties against them. Gray planned to secure Amazon Lily and Sky Island before seeking the Lucky-Lucky Fruit User, whose ability might help them locate the Celestial Dragons' hunting ground and improve their Devil Fruit recovery experiments.

  • Gray and Issho finished a brutal sparring match in Uta's mental world, then Gray confirmed that the group would set out within a week.
  • Gray sent Issho to Dressrosa to collect healing potions, Seastone, money, requested supplies, and newspapers from the past year.
  • Issho returned with supplies and a newspaper that smeared Gray's group and listed their bounties, including 1.9 billion Beli for Flying Wheel Gray, 1 billion for Daughter of the Beasts Yamato, and 500 million for Snow Woman Monet.
  • Gray told Issho that the Lucky-Lucky Fruit User worked under Tesoro and that he wanted her help finding the Celestial Dragons' hunting ground and improving Devil Fruit recovery experiments.
  • Gray decided the group would first secure Amazon Lily and take Sky Island, then search for the Lucky-Lucky Fruit User; he ended the night by heading to train before their departure the next day.

Ch. 114Two Pieces of Good News at Once

Gray and Fairy Tail reached the Golden City, where a Celestial Dragon and Marine Admiral Kizaru were present, and launched a coordinated attack. The chapter ended with Kizaru trapped between Gray’s attack and Fujitora’s strike.

  • Baccarat used her luck-gathering ability while working at the Golden City, and Kizaru arrived there to protect Saint Shich alongside Cipher Pol agents.
  • Gray, Issho, and their allies moved Amazon Lily and Green Bit toward the Grand Line, while Rayleigh and Shakky watched them depart.
  • Viola spotted the Golden City and a World Government ship carrying Kizaru, CP0 agents, and a Celestial Dragon, so Gray assigned Hancock to face the Celestial Dragon, Yamato to fight CP0, and Monet to find Baccarat.
  • Tesoro learned that the Celestial Dragon and Kizaru had arrived and ordered his men not to interfere.
  • Gray and his allies reached the Golden City, knocked out most of its inhabitants with Conqueror’s Haki, and moved to confront the Celestial Dragon’s protectors.
  • Gray and Fujitora attacked Kizaru together, leaving him caught between Fujitora’s Gravity Blade: Fierce Tiger and Gray’s electrified fist.

Ch. 115Hancock Casts Off Her Inner Demon

Yamato and Hancock attacked the Celestial Dragons while Kyros investigated the unconscious people in Tesoro’s Golden City. Gray and Issho kept Kizaru under relentless pressure, leaving the battle unresolved as Kizaru was driven toward the ground.

  • Yamato defeated the CP0 leader with a series of Haki- and ice-infused attacks, knocking him unconscious.
  • Hancock petrified the CP0 agents, tortured Charloss over his past abuse, and killed him before Yamato helped her recover her composure.
  • Kyros found Tesoro alone and conscious in the Golden City, where everyone else had been knocked out, and identified himself as a member of Fairy Tail.
  • Gray and Issho broke through Kizaru’s defenses and used gravity and coordinated attacks to try to force him into the sea.
  • Kizaru escaped their first attempt with Yata no Kagami, but Issho intercepted him and Gray struck again, driving him toward the ground.

Ch. 116Kizaru Captured

Gray, Issho, Yamato, and Hancock overwhelmed Kizaru in a prolonged battle, and Gray ultimately defeated him by pushing his power beyond its limits. Gray ordered the others to keep Kizaru alive so they could try to recruit him or reclaim his Glint-Glint Fruit, then led the group to finish their operation and leave.

  • Gray and Issho kept Kizaru from escaping, and Gray unsuccessfully tried to recruit him during their fight.
  • Yamato and Hancock joined the battle, helping Gray and Issho corner Kizaru across the Golden City.
  • After an hour of pursuit, Gray swallowed five healing Blood Dandelions and entered his 20,000 Horsepower limit-break state to overpower Kizaru.
  • Gray battered Kizaru until he lost consciousness, while the fight left Gray's cells damaged and his Haki severely depleted.
  • Gray took more healing dandelions, ordered the others to treat Kizaru and keep him alive, and set out with the group toward Kyros.

Ch. 117Tesoro Joins, Baccarat Comes Aboard

Tesoro and Baccarat joined Fairy Tail, and Tesoro proposed building a secret intelligence network while remaining in the World Government’s good graces. Gray’s group proved that Baccarat could guide a recovered Devil Fruit into nearby fruit, celebrated the success, and left the Navy facing uncertainty over Kizaru’s fate.

  • Gray welcomed Tesoro to Fairy Tail, and Tesoro offered to keep running his casino while secretly developing an intelligence network for the guild.
  • Monet brought Baccarat to Gray, and Baccarat agreed to join Fairy Tail.
  • Gray’s group returned to Green Bit, marked Tesoro with the guild insignia, and imprisoned Kizaru in extensive Seastone restraints.
  • Gray and Baccarat tested Devil Fruit recovery by having her kill the CP0 agent inside a sealed Seastone box, and the Honey Badger Fruit reincarnated into a banana.
  • Gray held a banquet to celebrate the new members and the successful experiment, while Sengoku reacted to the news and asked Tsuru whether Kizaru was alive and how they could respond.

Ch. 118What a Weak God

Sengoku received orders from Saint Saturn to find Fairy Tail and kill Kizaru if he had been captured, while Gray’s return stirred the world’s ambitious figures. Gray’s group took over Sky Island, captured Enel, and recruited him after he agreed to join in exchange for a rematch; the chapter ended as Enel prepared to fight Yamato and Hancock.

  • Saint Saturn ordered Sengoku to hunt down Fairy Tail, search the Calm Belt, and ensure the Marines had no captured Admirals, while Kaido set off after Gray and Yamato.
  • Gray’s group reached Sky Island, where Yamato knocked out Enel with one Haki-infused strike after he arrogantly let her attack him in elemental form.
  • Gray’s group defeated Enel’s remaining priests, brought Gan Fall out of hiding, and took control of Sky Island with the Shandia’s support.
  • Gray revived Enel, explained Haki and Devil Fruits, and persuaded him to join Fairy Tail; Enel demanded a rematch with Gray before joining.
  • Yamato and Hancock both volunteered to fight Enel, and Uta transported them to another space where Enel prepared to face them.

Ch. 119Enel Was Brutally Beaten

Enel was repeatedly defeated by Hancock, Gray, and Issho in Uta’s mental world, then agreed to train under Issho to become stronger. The next morning, Gray set out with Yamato and the others aboard a giant ship to visit Little Garden and befriend Dorry and Brogy.

  • Enel fought Hancock in the mental world, but she overwhelmed him with Haki and petrified and shattered his body.
  • Gray defeated Enel with a Haki-coated punch, and Issho immediately flattened him with gravity and cut through his neck.
  • Gray offered to train Enel, who agreed to build his strength under Issho’s instruction.
  • Gray prepared a giant ship loaded with food and alcohol to approach Dorry and Brogy, hoping to win the Giants’ support against the Celestial Dragons.
  • Yamato, baby-5, Sugar, Uta, Leo, Mansherry, and Viola joined Gray aboard the ship, and he sped its descent from the White-White Sea before Viola guided their route.

Ch. 120Hakoku

Gray reached Little Garden, befriended Dorry and Brogy, and persuaded them to return to Elbaf by revealing the World Government’s deception. The giants agreed to teach Gray and Yamato their powerful Hakoku technique.

  • Gray landed on Little Garden with his crew, and Doflamingo called to report that he had found the person Gray was seeking; Kuma then flew off to deliver Gray’s message.
  • Gray and his companions found Dorry and Brogy fighting, invited them to a feast, and healed their wounds with Blood Dandelions.
  • Gray offered Dorry and Brogy a ship and supplies to return to Elbaf, then told them the World Government had lied about capturing them and that Kashii and Oimo were working to free them.
  • Dorry and Brogy agreed to return to Elbaf and promised to tell Gray when they moved against the World Government to rescue their former crewmates.
  • Dorry and Brogy used Hakoku to split the attacking Island-Eater Goldfish in two, then agreed to teach the technique to Gray and Yamato.

Ch. 121What Kuma's Identity Brought to Mind

Gray and his companions met Kuma and Bonney, but Mansherry could not cure Bonney’s Sapphire Scale, so Gray brought them to Doctor Kureha in the Drum Kingdom. While Kureha examined Bonney, Gray sent Yamato and the others to capture King Wapol and considered involving the Revolutionary Army in his coming attack on the Celestial Dragons.

  • Dorry and Brogy sailed away after teaching Gray and the others how to practice Hakoku, and Gray’s group waited on Little Garden for Kuma.
  • Kuma arrived with Bonney and asked Gray to cure her Sapphire Scale; Mansherry tried to heal her but found the disease kept returning from an underlying source.
  • Gray proposed consulting Doctor Kureha and eventually seeking the Op-Op Fruit User, and Kuma agreed to travel with the group to the Drum Kingdom.
  • Gray flew everyone to the Drum Kingdom, disrupted communications to keep Wapol from escaping or calling for help, and took them to Kureha’s home.
  • Kureha agreed to examine Bonney after Gray offered a large fee, while Gray sent Yamato, baby-5, Sugar, and Uta to capture Wapol and his soldiers.
  • As Kureha examined Bonney, Gray considered drawing the Revolutionary Army into his planned attack on the Celestial Dragons’ hunting game.

Ch. 122Morgans Brings Good News

Gray moved Drum Island to his base, helped Bonney recover, and persuaded Kuma to join Fairy Tail and fight the Celestial Dragons. The chapter ended with Morgans confirming the location of the Celestial Dragons’ hunting game, though he had not yet named the island.

  • Kureha proposed treating Bonney with repeated blood transfusions while Mansherry’s healing ability restored her, and Bonney improved after two transfusions.
  • Gray moved Drum Island to his base, planned a medical center under Kureha, and relocated Little Garden to expand the training grounds.
  • Gray confronted Kuma about the Revolutionary Army’s failure to save Ginny and urged him to join Fairy Tail to seek revenge on the Celestial Dragons; Kuma accepted.
  • Kuma, Urouge, Wiper, Laki, and Aisa joined Fairy Tail, and Gray began training the new members.
  • Morgans called Gray and confirmed that he had found the island where the Celestial Dragons’ hunting game would take place.

Ch. 124The War Begins

Gray and Fairy Tail attacked the Celestial Dragons’ hunting game in the Sivans Kingdom, broadcasting their assault as they rescued victims and fought the defenders. Gray captured Saturn by exploiting his regeneration, but Garling was suppressing Issho as the Marines, Five Elders, and CP Organization headed toward the island.

  • Gray rallied Fairy Tail, asked Kuma to seek Revolutionary Army support, and led the guild toward the East Blue after warning that they might have to rely on their own strength.
  • Gray and Issho brought Green Bit Island above the hunting grounds, where Uta’s song incapacitated many Celestial Dragons and Hancock petrified Saturn and several God's Knights.
  • Gray ordered his fighters to attack while Issho engaged Garling, then repeatedly struck Saturn and used Seastone and Bonney’s blood to weaken and capture him.
  • Enel, Yamato, and Hancock fought the remaining God's Knights while Garling’s attacks kept Issho under pressure.
  • Gray left Kuma to carry Saturn and hurried to assist Hancock and the others as Morgans broadcast the raid and revealed the hunting grounds’ cruelty to viewers worldwide.

Ch. 125Besieging Garling

Gray and his allies fought the Celestial Dragons and Navy at the Kingdom of Sivans as the Revolutionary Army arrived to help. The chapter ended with Yamato and Hancock launching a combined attack on Saint Garling after he repelled Gray, Kuma, and Issho.

  • Kaido ordered the Beast Pirates to destroy the Navy bases from G-1 to G-5, while Shanks set out with Beckman, Lucky Roux, and Yasopp to find Uta.
  • Saint Nusjuro ordered Sengoku, Aokiji, Akainu, and Garp to support the East Blue, and Dragon led the Revolutionary Army toward the battle.
  • Gray killed one Holy Knight, incapacitated another for Viola, and sent Yamato to help Issho fight Garling.
  • Dragon and the Revolutionary Army arrived behind the Navy fleet, and Dragon flew toward the island while the Army Commanders attacked the warships.
  • Gray, Enel, Hancock, Yamato, Kuma, and Issho attacked Garling together, but Garling countered their blows and sent Gray flying before throwing back Kuma and Issho.
  • Yamato and Hancock combined their strength and launched their Hakoku attack at Garling.

Ch. 126Saint Garling's Death!

Gray and his allies fought Saint Garling, and Gray learned to coat his attacks with Advanced Conqueror's Haki during the battle. After the group created an opening, Gray broke Garling's spine and Kuma's repelled heat finished him off, leaving Gray to order Fairy Tail's retreat.

  • Hancock and Yamato's Hakoku attack failed to defeat Saint Garling, so Gray pushed his magnetic field to 30,000 horsepower and entered a dangerous three-minute burst state.
  • Gray, Issho, Hancock, Yamato, Kuma, and Enel attacked Saint Garling in turns, but Garling's Future Sight and Advanced Conqueror's Haki kept him standing.
  • Gray studied Garling's Haki during their clashes and learned to coat his fist with Advanced Conqueror's Haki, gaining enough strength to force Garling backward.
  • Issho, Enel, Kuma, Yamato, Hancock, and Gray combined their attacks to pin Saint Garling down, allowing Gray to shatter his spine and crush his internal organs.
  • Kuma repelled the heat and cellular damage from Gray, then sent the gathered heat into Saint Garling, burning him into a mummified corpse.
  • Gray ordered Fairy Tail's members to retreat and flew toward the shore.

Ch. 127Aftermath

Gray and Issho helped Fairy Tail defeat the Marines at the Sivans Kingdom, while Dragon used Morgans’s broadcast to rally resistance and arrange the residents’ evacuation. Gray then brought his companions to Arlong Park, where he defeated Arlong and his crew and found Nami.

  • Gray and Issho summoned two meteorites against the Marines, and Fairy Tail escaped as Dragon urged Belo Betty to evacuate residents from the Sivans Kingdom.
  • Dragon appeared on Morgans’s livestream and called on people around the world to rise against the Celestial Dragons and join the revolution.
  • The Five Elders learned that Saint Garling had fallen, Saint Saturn had been captured, and the other fighters were dead, then set out to inform Imu.
  • Garp arrived to reinforce the Navy and confronted Dragon, who ordered the Revolutionary Army to escape while he fought Garp.
  • Gray spotted Arlong’s village, took Yamato and the others down to Arlong Park, and cut through the guards and Fish-Men inside.
  • Gray defeated Arlong, knocked out his crew, and noticed Nami before Arlong lost consciousness.

Ch. 128Substitution Strategy

Gray recruited Nami and the villagers after defeating Arlong, then returned to Sky Island and planned to lie low while strengthening Fairy Tail. He left for Alabasta to find Nico Robin and Crocodile, intending to take over Baroque Works and use Robin to pursue his plans involving Big Mom and Pudding.

  • Gray persuaded the frightened girl to join his group, then ordered Monet to bring the villagers to Sky Island and imprison the surviving Fish-Men as blood slaves.
  • Gray decided to delay recruiting Zoro and Barto, train his existing members, and seek Law's memories of Corazon to be erased with Pudding's ability.
  • Gray ordered Saturn petrified and sent into the Calm Belt, then left Monet and the others to guard their home while he traveled away for up to half a month.
  • Gray flew to Alabasta to find Nico Robin and Crocodile, planning to trade Road Poneglyph information with Big Mom and obtain Pudding through marriage.
  • Gray decided to recruit Robin, defeat Crocodile, and take over Baroque Works, then flew toward Rainbase under cover of night.
