Mu Jin teaches Freshman Class Two at Shrek Academy. Her first lesson introduces the historical changes in the Soul Master system and the professional impact of soul guidance devices; Huo Yuhao notes that her teaching is concise and that she does not keep students after class. 7

After Wang Dong is transferred from Zhou Yi's class, Mu Jin welcomes her warmly and appoints her class monitor based on her current Soul Power. 8

Before the freshman assessment, Mu Jin explains its three-person-team format and asks students to identify their intended cultivation directions so the academy can teach according to aptitude afterward. 16

When Huo Yuhao requests leave to obtain a soul ring, she offers to arrange an accompanying teacher but accepts his refusal. 9 10 During the freshman tournament, she openly stakes that Huo Yuhao's team will win despite Zhou Yi's doubts. 22

Mu Jin has a sharp rivalry with Zhou Yi and takes clear satisfaction in Class Two outperforming Class One. She publicly praises Huo Yuhao's group for eliminating Class One's second-seeded team and joins Huo Yuhao's “speed bump” joke at Zhou Yi's expense. 20

Freshman Class Two

Mu Jin oversees Class Two during the freshman assessment. She announces that three groups failed and left the academy, while Huo Yuhao's team advances as one of six undefeated teams in the round of sixty-four. 20

She rewards Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and Xiao Xiao with two five-cubic-meter storage soul tools and a secret-technique soul bone, allowing the team to decide the distribution themselves. 21

Rivalry with Zhou Yi

During the elimination rounds, Mu Jin wagers three months' salary against Zhou Yi, betting that Huo Yuhao's team will defeat its opponent. 22

After Class Two's victory over Ning Tian's team, Mu Jin claims the bet and reminds Zhou Yi that she expects payment in Gold Soul Coins. 24

Second-Year Homeroom Teacher

As the new teacher of Huo Yuhao's second-year class, Mu Jin lists candidates for Control-type and Power Attack-type class monitor. When Dai Huabin challenges Huo Yuhao's candidacy, she clarifies that his reserve Core Disciple status does not remove his rights and warns Dai against falsely accusing a teacher. 34 35

Mu Jin later gathers the Core Disciples of her class after lessons and leads them to the Soul Fighting Zone for the Core Disciple assessment. 49
