"Break the bed? You've got quite a big mouth for a little girl."
At the entrance to Notting Academy, the teacher on duty watched the carriage come to a stop. The registration book in his hand nearly slipped to the ground.
The carriage curtain was lifted, and Ning Rongrong stepped down using a little wooden stool.
She wore a delicate short skirt, with a small sachet hanging from her waist. Her shoes were spotless, and she looked completely different from the dusty new students gathered at the entrance to Notting Academy.
The mark of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect on the carriage door stood out brightly in the morning light.
Several students at the entrance immediately crowded around.
"Who's that?"
"That mark on the carriage looks like it belongs to a major sect."
"She looks really rich."
Ning Rongrong slung her little bundle over her shoulder, lifted her chin, and walked into the academy.
"I'm looking for Su Hang."
The students fell silent, then quickly grew lively again.
"Looking for Boss Su?"
"Another one coming for Boss Su?"
"Boss Su's popularity is ridiculous."
Xiao Chenyu had just come from the direction of the cafeteria, breakfast still in hand.
The moment he recognized the mark on the carriage, he stopped dead.
"The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect?"
He shoved his breakfast into Wang Sheng's arms and turned to run.
Wang Sheng held a bag of steamed buns, completely bewildered.
"Why are you running?"
Xiao Chenyu didn't even look back.
"Tell Boss Su!"
Hearing this, Ning Rongrong became even more interested.
She stopped a younger student nearby.
"Is Su Hang famous at your academy?"
The student immediately nodded.
"Of course. Boss Su's first Spirit Ring is purple, he's the bane of Xiao Chenyu, and he beat Tang San's First Spirit Skill until it sprang leaks."
Ning Rongrong blinked.
"Sprang leaks?"
Another student jumped in to explain.
"Yeah, Tang San's Blue Silver Grass is good at binding people, but Boss Su's feet flash with lightning and the grass gets scorched."
"Everyone calls him the Purple Ring Monster."
"Some people call him the Tang San Nemesis, too."
Hugging her bundle, Ning Rongrong quickened her pace.
"Sounds interesting."
She had hurried from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to Notting City all night. She'd planned to have her guards bring Su Hang back for questioning if all he did was make things up.
But after hearing the students talk, the things written in the diary seemed to match reality in several ways.
Beside the Training Ground, Su Hang sat on the stone steps, drinking tea.
Xiao Wu sat next to him, holding a piece of fruit and tapping her toes against the ground.
Xiao Chenyu came charging in and only stopped when he grabbed the wooden railing around the Training Ground.
"Boss Su, something big happened!"
Xiao Wu immediately looked up.
"Is someone here to cause trouble again?"
Xiao Chenyu waved his hand.
"Someone from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is here."
"She's a little girl dressed in expensive clothes, and she came straight out asking for you."
The fruit in Xiao Wu's hand stopped halfway to her mouth.
"She's looking for Brother Su Hang?"
Wang Sheng ran in after him, holding the bag of steamed buns and panting hard.
"The entrance is completely surrounded."
"That girl's been asking about Boss Su all the way here. When she heard 'Purple Ring Monster' and 'the bane of Tang San,' she was delighted."
Xiao Wu set her fruit on the table and stood up, moving in front of Su Hang.
"What does she want with you?"
Su Hang set down his teacup.
"How should I know?"
Xiao Wu didn't quite believe him.
"You really don't know?"
Seeing the way she stood in front of him, Su Hang couldn't help reaching out to tap her on the head.
"Are you planning to charge admission?"
Xiao Wu covered her head.
"I'm keeping people away."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ning Rongrong had already reached the entrance to the Training Ground.
She hadn't brought many people with her—just a coachman waiting at a distance.
A crowd of students followed along to watch, but none dared to get too close.
Ning Rongrong spotted Su Hang on the stone steps at once.
There was no helping it. He was the most relaxed person on the whole Training Ground.
And Xiao Wu was beside him, blocking the way as if anyone who came close would get beaten up.
Ning Rongrong walked closer, gave Xiao Wu a quick once-over, then looked at Su Hang.
"You're Su Hang?"
Xiao Wu immediately stepped forward.
"What do you want with him?"
Ning Rongrong smiled and spread her hands.
"Just to chat."
Xiao Wu grabbed Su Hang's sleeve, as naturally as could be.
"He's busy."
Ning Rongrong looked at her hand and raised her chin.
"You can make decisions for him?"
Xiao Wu answered at once.
"I can."
From behind her, Su Hang drawled, "She has been making a lot of plans for me lately."
Xiao Wu turned and glared at him.
"Don't undermine me."
Ning Rongrong laughed.
"This is interesting."
She took another step forward.
"I came all the way from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. I didn't travel this far just to watch the two of you bicker."
When Su Hang heard "Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect," he already knew.
Ning Rongrong had come.
And she'd come this quickly.
Most likely, she had already gotten a copy of the diary.
"The little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect came to Notting Academy to chat with a work-study student."
"After hearing that excuse, I doubt Sect Master Ning will sleep well."
Ning Rongrong stopped in her tracks.
She hadn't mentioned who she was.
But Su Hang had called it out directly.
That caught her attention even more than the Purple Ring stories the students had told.
"You know who I am?"
Su Hang picked up his teacup.
"The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect has only one little princess who's spoiled rotten."
"It wasn't hard to guess."
Xiao Wu tightened her grip immediately.
"The spoiled little princess came to chat with you?"
Ning Rongrong tilted her head.
"Why are you in such a hurry?"
Xiao Wu straightened her back.
"I'm not."
Xiao Chenyu lowered his voice nearby.
"Wang Sheng, Sister Xiao Wu looks like she's guarding her food."
Wang Sheng hurriedly stuffed a steamed bun into his mouth.
"Stop trying to get yourself killed."
On the other side, Tang San and Yu Xiaogang had just come from the direction of the classroom building.
Tang San's right sleeve was tightly fastened, and the numbness from the backlash of his Blue Silver Grass still hadn't completely faded.
When he heard the words "little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect," he paused for half a beat.
Yu Xiaogang also looked toward the Training Ground.
"The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect?"
Tang San turned his head.
"Teacher, is that sect very powerful?"
Yu Xiaogang lowered his voice.
"It's the greatest auxiliary sect in the world."
"The Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda can provide Soul Masters with extremely powerful boosts."
"Ning Fengzhi has enormous resources, and Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo both protect their sect."
"Making connections with them would greatly benefit your future cultivation."
Tang San looked toward Su Hang.
Ning Rongrong had actually taken the initiative to seek out Su Hang.
First Xiao Wu.
And now the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
More and more things were gathering around Su Hang.
Tang San stepped over.
"Miss Ning."
Ning Rongrong turned to look at him.
Tang San straightened his sleeve.
"My name is Tang San. I'm also a new student at Notting Academy."
"The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is renowned. It's an honor to meet you today, Miss Ning."
At the sound of Tang San's name, Ning Rongrong's previously lively manner came to a halt.
It had been written in the diary.
This man would take too many things.
Xiao Wu, Daming and Erming, the resources of those around him, and the opportunities pushed into his hands along the way.
Ning Rongrong looked at Tang San again, and her interest faded at once.
"Oh."
Tang San waited a moment, but that was all he got.
Yu Xiaogang stepped forward.
"Miss Ning, Tang San has Innate Full Soul Power and has already obtained his First Spirit Ring. His future achievements will be considerable."
Ning Rongrong looked at Yu Xiaogang.
"Grandmaster?"
Yu Xiaogang clasped his hands behind his back, just beginning to strike a pose.
Ning Rongrong had already continued speaking.
"I heard your disciple's skills spring leaks."
The students at the edge of the Training Ground couldn't help laughing under their breath.
Yu Xiaogang's posturing fell flat halfway through, and his face darkened on the spot.
Tang San didn't argue. He simply tugged his sleeves down a little.
Ning Rongrong ignored him and turned to walk over to Su Hang.
Xiao Wu immediately stepped in front of him.
"If you have something to say, just say it."
Ning Rongrong took a small token from her waist.
It wasn't large. The front was engraved with the Seven Treasures Glazed Pagoda, and the back bore the character Ning.
She held the token out to Su Hang.
"I'm not asking you for free."
"Help me verify something, and I'll reward you."
Before you continue
