Previous Life

Ye Qiong remembers Phainon as someone who carried the world alone through more than thirty million cycles. He also recalls Phainon fighting Lord Ravager Phantylia with a mortal body and leaving a wound on the face of Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction 3 5.

Phainon’s new martial soul manifests Chaoslana, described as his strongest form from that previous life. Ye Qiong considers it an existence beyond god-level martial souls on the Douluo Continent 5.

Rebirth in Douluo

Phainon is reborn as a twelve-year-old boy through Ye Qiong’s system. Summoned Golden Descendants receive new lives with their previous memories sealed; restoring those memories requires the advanced function As I Wrote. Ye Qiong initially chooses not to awaken them, wanting the descendants to live without the burdens of their past 4 5.

Despite the sealed memories, Phainon feels an unexplained familiarity with Ye Qiong upon joining the academy. A similar feeling arises when he meets Xia Die and Polyxena, although he cannot identify its source 5 27.

His friendliness coexists with confidence and composure. He accepts Ye Qiong’s warning about Tang San’s hidden weapons while maintaining faith in his own strength, and remains calm throughout their duel. During the forest expedition, he takes responsibility for organizing his classmates 6 7 8.

He is eager to learn but does not immediately understand every unconventional fighting style. He questions Ye Qiong about Anaxa’s control skills and Kerythra’s ability to fight alone as a support-type soul master, then openly admires their performances 23 24.

A powerful opponent brings out his competitive side. His match with Mydei becomes a prolonged battle of attrition that he finds far more satisfying than his previous quick victories. He wants Mydei to join the academy so they can continue testing each other 30.
