Background

Ye Qiong established the academy after receiving the Otherworld Academy Construction System. Its novice mission required him to establish Omphalos Academy and recruit five students; the system promised greater strength as he cultivated stronger students, ultimately allowing him to transcend the Douluo plane. 1

The academy began recruitment near Shrek Academy, offering free registration while Shrek charged an enrollment fee. Its first admissions round accepted only one applicant, with Ye Qiong personally interviewing candidates and Jiang Zhu recording their information. 1 2

Although the academy site initially appeared to be an empty plot south of Soto City, Ye Qiong dispelled its concealment and revealed a grand campus. The complex is styled with white walls, domes, arches, pillars, gardens, fountains, and stone paths. 4

The institution is referred to as Omphalos Academy during its early operations, while later accounts call it Amphoreus Academy. 1 22

Recruitment and Training

The academy accepts students from varied backgrounds rather than focusing exclusively on established geniuses. Ye Qiong explicitly intends to turn mediocre students into geniuses, citing Wang Sheng's initially limited talent as an example. 3

Its training program combines four hours of daily cultivation with nightly Soul Fighting Arena matches. Ye Qiong requires students to obtain Gold Soul Fighting Badges before the Spirit Master Tournament, while Bai E and Kerythra are expected to pursue Purple-Gold rank. 21

Students also receive individualized support. Ye Qiong distributed spirit-enhancing pills tailored to their martial souls, raising Wang Sheng and several other students to level 30 while improving Bai E and Kerythra's cultivation quality. 19 20
