Background / History

Qian Renxue is the granddaughter of Spirit Hall's Grand Consecrator, Qian Daoliu, and the daughter of Pope Bibi Dong and Qian Xunji. Despite her exceptional lineage and talent, she grew up without affection from either parent; her grandfather's care was tied closely to expectations for her talent and Spirit Hall's future. 124 133 138

For years, she operated within the Heaven Dou Empire under the identity of Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Using a human-skin mask and facial disguise, she replaced the real prince, cultivated a reputation as a refined and capable heir, and gradually poisoned Emperor Xue Ye with a colorless, odorless poison intended to let her inherit the empire without bloodshed. 108 109 110

Spirit Hall ordered her to coordinate with its army and destroy the rapidly growing Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. Ning Xiaochun exposed her after noticing that “Xue Qinghe” had broken free of Shui Bing'er's Ice Seal with strength far beyond the crown prince's supposed cultivation. Bibi Dong publicly refused to compromise for her daughter's life, declaring that Spirit Hall's cause outweighed any individual's life. Qian Renxue tried to uphold the same ideal, but was devastated when Bibi Dong subsequently withdrew the army to save Yu Xiaogang—revealing that her mother valued him more than either Qian Renxue or Spirit Hall's victory. 124 125 127
