Position in the God Realm
God Kings are the five law-enforcing gods of the God Realm. Their authority places them above First-Level Gods such as the Rakshasa God; the Rakshasa God specifically warns that a Divine Position belonging to a law-enforcing God King is stronger than his own. 6
The five God Kings are:

|---|---|
| God King of Destruction | Tai Yi’s inheritor; leads the opposition to Asura’s interference and arranges Divine Position inheritances for Tai Yi’s allies. 43 176 182 |
| Goddess of Life | Co-inheritor of Tai Yi alongside Destruction; supports Destruction’s political decisions and secretly backs Tai Yi’s future rise. 2 176 222 |
| Asura God King | Former law enforcer whose repeated interference, murder of gods, and seizure of God Trials isolate him from the other God Kings. 43 100 175 |
| God King of Goodness | Refuses to openly join the Destruction–Asura conflict, prioritizing the stability of the God Realm. 176 |
| God King of Evil | Also remains neutral, warns Asura about his political isolation, and seeks to prevent a God King battle. 100 176 |
Authority
- God Kings oversee violations involving divine interference in Douluo Planet, where the God Realm is ordinarily forbidden from directly intervening. 2 100
- They can challenge another god’s control over God Trials and Divine Positions; Destruction demands that Asura surrender the War God Trial after Asura kills the War God. 175
- The other four God Kings previously stripped Asura of his law-enforcement authority after his improper actions. 43
- Their Divine Positions can be inherited. Tai Yi is recognized as the successor to both Destruction and Life, two God King-level Divine Positions. 2 43
- A God King can mobilize other gods to arrange inheritances for qualified mortals. Destruction summons roughly seventy percent of the God Realm’s gods and secures Divine Positions for people around Tai Yi. 176 182
History
Tai Yi’s Dual Inheritance
The God King of Destruction and Goddess of Life select Tai Yi as their shared inheritor because his power possesses both destructive and life-giving qualities. They leave divine power within his inheritance mark, granting protection from harm on three occasions despite the usual prohibition against God Realm intervention. 2
Their choice immediately creates tension with Asura. Tai Yi’s inheritance is considered powerful enough that the Rakshasa God warns Bibi Dong that harming him could provoke retaliation from the law-enforcing gods. 6
Asura’s Loss of Authority
Asura’s attempts to support Tang San bring him into conflict with the other God Kings. During a confrontation, Destruction distinguishes his assistance to Tai Yi’s absorption of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ Spirit Bones from direct intervention in mortal battles; Asura subsequently relinquishes his law-enforcement authority. 43
Asura later circumvents the restriction by coercing the God of Plants into saving Tang San. Afterward, Asura murders the God of Plants and presents the death as punishment for illegal lower-realm interference. The other God Kings accept the explanation publicly, though Destruction sees through the scheme and privately warns Asura. 100
Escalation Against Asura
After Asura kills the War God and takes control of the War God Trial, Destruction confronts him directly. Asura refuses to surrender the trial, relying on technicalities and the other God Kings’ reluctance to risk a destructive internal war. 175
Destruction responds by abandoning restraint: if Asura can secure Divine Positions for Bibi Dong and Dai Weisi’s side, then Destruction will arrange inheritances for Tai Yi’s trusted followers. Life fully supports this decision, while Goodness and Evil remain neutral to preserve stability. 176
Destruction subsequently gathers most of the God Realm’s gods and selects suitable Divine Positions for ten individuals connected to Tai Yi, including a replacement Ice God inheritance for Leng Qianqiu. 182
Relationship with Tai Yi
- Tai Yi — Destruction and Life’s dual Divine Position inheritor. The pair provide him with protection, God Trials, divine artifact knowledge, and political support for his allies’ inheritances. 2 69 176 190
- God King of Destruction — Treats Tai Yi’s advancement as central to his response against Asura and prepares to support Tai Yi’s trusted companions with Divine Positions. 177 181
- Goddess of Life — Recognizes Tai Yi’s alliance with Gu Yuena and chooses not to expose it to Destruction, believing Tai Yi can ultimately control the resulting threat. 222
- Asura God King — Rival patron whose chosen inheritors, Tang San, Bibi Dong, and Dai Weisi, are positioned against Tai Yi’s faction. 101 111 177
- Gods of Goodness and Evil — Neutral mediators who refuse to choose between Destruction and Asura, fearing the consequences of a conflict among God Kings. 176
Political Influence
The God King of Destruction and Goddess of Life eventually conclude that Tai Yi’s planned Heavenly Court may bring greater unity to the God Realm than its divided five-God-King system. They instruct their subordinate gods to support Tai Yi once he enters the God Realm. 222
Asura’s actions leave him increasingly isolated: his betrayal of the God of Plants, execution of the Rakshasa God, and murder of the War God destroy his credibility among the gods, while Destruction and Life gain the support of most powerful deities. 176
