Madara was a legendary Uchiha figure from the Warring States era and one of the only recent shinobi described as having reached Super Kage Level alongside Hashirama Senju. His growth was associated with the Mangekyo Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and control of the Nine-Tails, though Hashirama consistently held the advantage over him. 376

During an earlier conflict with Hashirama, Madara used Sharingan genjutsu to control the Nine-Tails, armored it in Susanoo, and sent it against Hashirama's Wood Release Buddha. 79 He later acquired Hashirama cells, granting him a powerful but transplanted form of Wood Release. 385

Madara is contemptuous, theatrical, and merciless toward opponents he considers weak. He routinely insults Konoha, its leadership, and even fellow Uchiha who continue serving the village, using personal grievances and clan history as psychological weapons. 327 328 385

His contempt does not prevent him from recognizing strength.
