Background / History

The Asura God maintained the Capital of Slaughter in the Douluo plane as a site of inheritance intended to screen candidates for his god position. He had released the Nine-Headed Bat King there; after it possessed Tang Chen, the creature concealed itself as the King of Slaughter. The Asura God saw through this disguise but continued to use the King of Slaughter as a subordinate. 79 86

When Lan Lingcang began gathering faith across the continent, the Asura God projected a blood-red phantom into the Capital of Slaughter and ordered the King of Slaughter to locate and kill the soul beast responsible. He regarded a soul beast seeking godhood as intolerable. 79 80

Lan Lingcang and Di Tian later destroyed the Capital of Slaughter during a 900,000-year heavenly tribulation. Enraged by the destruction of his inheritance site, the Asura God used a golden water mirror to rewind events and identify Lan Lingcang as the culprit. 86

He convened the other four God Kings after detecting Lan Lingcang's Silver Dragon King, Dark Demon Evil God Tiger, Thunder Hell Vine, and Blue Silver Emperor Sovereign bloodlines. Although he urged the committee to eliminate Lan Lingcang immediately, the other God Kings chose observation; the Asura God pledged to act personally if Lan Lingcang made an “untoward” move. 86

Unwilling to wait, he sought the Sea God's assistance and prompted the dispatch of Bo Saixi to confront Lan Lingcang. After Bo Saixi's death, he arranged for divine officials and hunters from other planes to descend upon Douluo Continent, offering a fragment of godhood and entry into his divine lineage to whoever killed Lan Lingcang. 88 91 92

The unauthorized deployment was exposed after Gu Yuena killed two level-100 divine officials. The God Realm Committee subsequently allowed the Asura God to descend only to probe Lan Lingcang and the revived Silver Dragon King, provided he did not harm ordinary people. 96 97

He descended alongside the Sea God at Sea God Island, but both were urgently recalled when the Golden Dragon King broke free of its seal. During the ensuing God Realm battle, he helped the other Divine Kings reseal the Golden Dragon King before joining the assault on Lan Lingcang. 98 99

As Lan Lingcang's cultivation rose, the Asura God attacked with Asura Blood Slash alongside the God of Destruction's offensive. Lan Lingcang activated the Eye of Time Stop, froze the battlefield, and decapitated the Asura God with the Blue Silver Dragon Spear before time resumed. 99

He is willing to exploit loopholes in the God Realm's rules to achieve his aims. Rather than openly mobilizing the God Realm, he sends agents from other planes and accepts the possibility of later censure as an acceptable cost. 91 92
