Background

Tang Hao is a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect and its sect master's second son. By the time he encounters Ah Yin, he has lived for more than forty years and is regarded as a gifted Clear Sky Hammer soul master with ambitions of becoming a Titled Douluo. 65 73

He leaves the sect with his elder brother Tang Xiao to gain experience. During this journey, Tang Xiao repeatedly acts as his protector, mediator, and the person responsible for dealing with the consequences of Tang Hao's impulsive actions. 42 45 66 72

Tang Hao first sees Ah Yin in a town and becomes immediately infatuated. After she mistakes his filthy appearance for that of a beggar, he introduces himself with the Clear Sky Hammer and directly confesses his feelings; Ah Yin considers him a lunatic and rejects him. 65

He persists in pursuing her despite Tang Xiao's warnings. Ah Yin restrains and beats him with Blue Silver Emperor vines and gauntlets, though Tang Hao convinces himself that her choice not to seriously injure him is evidence of kindness. 66

Outside Spirit City, Tang Hao sees Qian Mochen embrace Ah Yin and launches a surprise attack. Ah Yin blocks the strike with her Martial Soul Avatar and sends Tang Hao flying, leaving him coughing blood and mentally devastated. 67

Ah Yin's Wedding and Collapse

After learning that Ah Yin lives in Spirit City, Tang Hao immediately travels there with Tang Xiao. He misreads the city's wedding decorations as inspiration for his imagined future marriage to Ah Yin. 69 70

Tang Hao attends Qian Mochen's wedding and recognizes Ah Yin beneath her bridal veil. A Titled Douluo suppresses him before he can disrupt the ceremony, forcing him to watch Ah Yin marry Qian Mochen. His Dao heart subsequently shatters, and he turns to drinking. 71

Relationship with A Lan

While drunk after the wedding, Tang Hao mistakes the blue-haired A Lan for Ah Yin and spends the night with her. He initially attempts to leave her with money, but Tang Xiao intervenes, reprimands him, and persuades him to take responsibility. 72

Rakshasa Inheritance and Death

Tang Hao leaves Tang San in Holy Soul Village and repeatedly disappears to complete Rakshasa's inheritance, returning each time with an increasingly gloomy aura. 117 His harsh training also contributes to Tang San's determination to avenge A Lan and oppose Spirit Hall. 131

After becoming a Rakshasa inheritor, Tang Hao confronts Qian Mochen, whom he blames as a member of the Qian Family responsible for A Lan's death. He uses his ninth soul ring and Clear Sky Avatar, but Qian Mochen blocks his full-force strike barehanded and later destroys the Clear Sky Hammer. 146

Unable to accept the overwhelming gap in strength, Tang Hao continues attacking until his martial soul is shattered and his soul power collapses. Rakshasa then manifests herself, abandons her failed inheritor, and absorbs Tang Hao into her body. 146

A Lan's Return

Although A Lan's sacrifice leaves behind a soul ring and soul bone, part of her life force survives as a Blue Silver King. Ah Yin brings her to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where she rebuilds her cultivation. 117 134
