Background
Tang Hao is a direct descendant of the Clear Sky Sect and its sect master's second son. By the time he encounters Ah Yin, he has lived for more than forty years and is regarded as a gifted Clear Sky Hammer soul master with ambitions of becoming a Titled Douluo. 65 73
He leaves the sect with his elder brother Tang Xiao to gain experience. During this journey, Tang Xiao repeatedly acts as his protector, mediator, and the person responsible for dealing with the consequences of Tang Hao's impulsive actions. 42 45 66 72
Following A Lan's sacrifice and his attack on Qian Xunji, Tang Hao disappears with Tang San rather than return to the sect. The Clear Sky Sect subsequently expels both father and son in an attempt to placate Spirit Hall and secure its own survival. 115 116
Appearance
Tang Hao is a burly, middle-aged man. After hunting in the Star Dou Forest, he is described as scruffy and filthy, with blood and grime on his clothes; Ah Yin initially mistakes him for a beggar. 65
- Carries and manifests the Clear Sky Hammer. 65
- Is physically imposing enough to be identified as one of two burly men waiting outside a city. 67
- His unkempt appearance after hunting contributes directly to his disastrous first meeting with Ah Yin. 65
- During his battle with Qian Xunji, he is left covered in blood and grievously wounded after repeatedly using Exploding Ring techniques. 114
Personality
Tang Hao is proud of his lineage, talent, and future prospects. When he first approaches Ah Yin, he expects his name, Clear Sky Hammer, and status as a Clear Sky Sect prodigy to impress her immediately. 65
His affection for Ah Yin rapidly becomes possessive and obsessive. He interprets rejection as a misunderstanding, imagines a future child before establishing any relationship with her, and later attacks Qian Mochen after seeing Ah Yin willingly held by him. 65 67 After Ah Yin marries Qian Mochen, Tang Hao falls into alcoholism and emotional collapse. 69 71
Despite his recklessness, Tang Hao becomes deeply protective of A Lan. He reacts urgently to her pregnancy, investigates her miscarriage, and personally punishes Tie Lan after learning she tampered with A Lan's medicine. 81 82 When Qian Xunji attempts to seize A Lan after her identity as a soul beast is exposed, Tang Hao repeatedly detonates his soul rings to protect her and continues fighting despite near-fatal injuries. 113 114
A Lan later concludes that Tang Hao had regarded her as Ah Yin's substitute, even though his actions during the battle with Qian Xunji demonstrate his genuine attachment to her and Tang San. 72 114 134 Following A Lan's sacrifice, grief and vengeance consume him, making him receptive to the Rakshasa God's inheritance and ultimately driving him to recklessly challenge Qian Mochen. 114 146
Abilities & Skills
Clear Sky Hammer
Tang Hao's martial soul is the Clear Sky Hammer, which he treats as proof of his identity and exceptional status. 65
- Can summon the hammer directly in combat. 65
- Enlarges it to a diameter of roughly ten meters when attacking Qian Mochen. 67
- His attack is stopped and reversed by Ah Yin's Blue Silver Emperor Avatar, which sends both Tang Hao and his hammer flying. 67
- His strength in the seventieth ranks is completely suppressed by a Titled Douluo during Qian Mochen's wedding. 71
- At Titled Douluo level, he can expand the hammer to several hundred meters and combine it with his Martial Soul Avatar and ninth soul ring. 146
- Qian Mochen ultimately shatters the Clear Sky Hammer with a flaming holy sword, leaving Tang Hao's martial soul damaged and his soul power in chaos. 146
Soul Master Cultivation
Tang Hao progresses from Soul Saint to Soul Douluo after resolving part of his emotional turmoil through his relationship with A Lan. 12 73
- His breakthrough occurs shortly after returning to Moonlight Pavilion with A Lan. 73
- Tang Xiao believes Tang Hao could contend for the title of the continent's youngest Titled Douluo if he continues advancing. 73
- His cultivation is impaired by heartbreak after Ah Yin marries Qian Mochen, leaving him unable to resist a Titled Douluo's pressure. 71
- By the time Rakshasa chooses him as an inheritor, he has reached Rank 89, and her divine power hastens his approach to the Titled Douluo realm. 112
- A Lan's sacrifice provides him with a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone, allowing him to reach the nine-ring level. 114 146
Exploding Ring and Clear Sky Avatar
Tang Hao can use the Clear Sky Sect's Exploding Ring technique to destroy the power sealed within his soul rings for a temporary surge in strength. 114
- He detonates his first and second soul rings to break Qian Xunji's Soul Power suppression. 114
- He subsequently detonates his third through fifth soul rings, using the resulting power alongside his Martial Soul Avatar and eighth soul skill to contend with Qian Xunji's ninth soul skill. 114
- He later detonates his sixth and seventh soul rings, using a strengthened Clear Sky Avatar to collapse Qian Xunji's Angel Avatar and severely wound him. 114
Divine Slaughter's Domain and Rakshasa Inheritance
Tang Hao possesses the Divine Slaughter's Domain acquired through Slaughter City and is selected by Rakshasa as a suitable inheritor because of his arrogance, obsession, and readiness to pursue power through hatred. 112 114
- Rakshasa divine power restores his injuries and depleted soul power immediately after A Lan's sacrifice. 114
- He activates Divine Slaughter's Domain to suppress Qian Xunji after accepting the inheritance. 114
- His later training for the Rakshasa inheritance makes his aura increasingly gloomy, but it remains insufficient for him to oppose Qian Mochen. 117 146
- Rakshasa abandons him after his defeat and absorbs him into her manifested body. 146

Story Role / Major Arcs
Pursuit of Ah Yin
Tang Hao first sees Ah Yin in a town and becomes immediately infatuated. After she mistakes his filthy appearance for that of a beggar, he introduces himself with the Clear Sky Hammer and directly confesses his feelings; Ah Yin considers him a lunatic and rejects him. 65
He persists in pursuing her despite Tang Xiao's warnings. Ah Yin restrains and beats him with Blue Silver Emperor vines and gauntlets, though Tang Hao convinces himself that her choice not to seriously injure him is evidence of kindness. 66
Outside Spirit City, Tang Hao sees Qian Mochen embrace Ah Yin and launches a surprise attack. Ah Yin blocks the strike with her Martial Soul Avatar and sends Tang Hao flying, leaving him coughing blood and mentally devastated. 67
Ah Yin's Wedding and Collapse
After learning that Ah Yin lives in Spirit City, Tang Hao immediately travels there with Tang Xiao. He misreads the city's wedding decorations as inspiration for his imagined future marriage to Ah Yin. 69 70
Tang Hao attends Qian Mochen's wedding and recognizes Ah Yin beneath her bridal veil. A Titled Douluo suppresses him before he can disrupt the ceremony, forcing him to watch Ah Yin marry Qian Mochen. His Dao heart subsequently shatters, and he turns to drinking. 71
Relationship with A Lan
While drunk after the wedding, Tang Hao mistakes the blue-haired A Lan for Ah Yin and spends the night with her. He initially attempts to leave her with money, but Tang Xiao intervenes, reprimands him, and persuades him to take responsibility. 72
Tang Hao gradually builds a relationship with A Lan by giving her blue accessories and clothing. His feelings become sincere, helping him overcome his stagnation and break through to Soul Douluo. 73
He marries A Lan in a ceremony attended by Qian Mochen, Ah Yin, and Gu Yuena. During the wedding, Ah Yin and A Lan discover that they are long-lost sisters from the Blue Silver Forest. 79
Family Crisis and Tang San's Birth
When A Lan becomes pregnant, Tang Hao reacts with immediate concern and seeks medical help. 81 After Tie Lan secretly causes A Lan's miscarriage by tampering with her medicine, Tang Hao investigates the crime, violently confronts Tie Lan, and purges servants from the sect to protect A Lan. 82
A Lan later gives birth to their son, Tang San. 95
A Lan's Sacrifice and Break with the Clear Sky Sect
Rakshasa identifies Tang Hao as a suitable inheritor and quietly injects divine power into him, accelerating his Rank 89 cultivation toward the Titled Douluo realm. 112 Soon afterward, the Rakshasa God's Divine Thought manipulates Qian Xunji into targeting the hundred-thousand-year soul beast living beside Tang Hao. 113
When A Lan reveals her soul beast identity to protect Tang Hao and Tang San, Tang Hao refuses to abandon her. He uses Exploding Ring and the Clear Sky Avatar to resist Qian Xunji, but is gravely wounded. 113 114
A Lan sacrifices herself to restore Tang Hao, leaving behind a hundred-thousand-year soul ring and soul bone. Driven by grief, Tang Hao accepts Rakshasa's inheritance, defeats Qian Xunji's Angel Avatar, and severely wounds the Pope before escaping into the forest with Tang San. 114
Qian Mochen later stages Qian Xunji's death and attributes the attack to the Clear Sky Sect, leading Spirit Hall to declare war. In Tang Hao's absence, the Clear Sky Sect expels both him and Tang San and abandons its affiliated sects in order to preserve its own survival. 115 116
Rakshasa Inheritance and Death
Tang Hao leaves Tang San in Holy Soul Village and repeatedly disappears to complete Rakshasa's inheritance, returning each time with an increasingly gloomy aura. 117 His harsh training also contributes to Tang San's determination to avenge A Lan and oppose Spirit Hall. 131
After becoming a Rakshasa inheritor, Tang Hao confronts Qian Mochen, whom he blames as a member of the Qian Family responsible for A Lan's death. He uses his ninth soul ring and Clear Sky Avatar, but Qian Mochen blocks his full-force strike barehanded and later destroys the Clear Sky Hammer. 146
Unable to accept the overwhelming gap in strength, Tang Hao continues attacking until his martial soul is shattered and his soul power collapses. Rakshasa then manifests herself, abandons her failed inheritor, and absorbs Tang Hao into her body. 146
A Lan's Return
Although A Lan's sacrifice leaves behind a soul ring and soul bone, part of her life force survives as a Blue Silver King. Ah Yin brings her to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where she rebuilds her cultivation. 117 134
After recovering her memories and reaching one hundred thousand years of cultivation again, A Lan transforms back into human form. She wishes to see Tang San and seeks revenge against Tang Hao after realizing that he had treated her as Ah Yin's substitute. 134
