Ch. 1The Beginning of the Story

Phoenix King continued cultivating under Medicine Elder’s guidance while Medicine Elder recalled how he had reached Douluo Continent and allied with Gu Yuena against the Divine Realm. The group prepared to expand their alliance and send Phoenix King into the human world to learn, gather information, and recruit talent.

  • Medicine Elder made Phoenix King complete his cultivation circuits and remembered how Han Feng had betrayed him, leaving him trapped in the ring that brought him to Douluo Continent.
  • Medicine Elder recalled meeting Gu Yuena and agreeing to help strengthen Star Dou Forest’s Soul Beasts in exchange for resources and a chance to return to his world.
  • Di Tian reported that the Far North’s Snow Empress, Ice Empress, and Titan Snow Demon King had joined their alliance and received Humanoid Transformation Pills.
  • Medicine Elder argued that Phoenix King should study in the human world to gain knowledge and recruit talent, while Di Tian questioned whether Star Dou Forest could prepare him instead.
  • Phoenix King considered recruiting Spirit Hall and hidden factions, and imagined taking divine positions from Tang San and the other Shrek Seven Devils.

Ch. 2The Deformed Cultivation System of Douluo Continent, and Di Tian's Expectations

Medicine Elder explained the limits of Douluo Continent’s martial soul system and advised Phoenix King to awaken his martial soul before trying to cultivate Battle Qi. Di Tian agreed to wait, while revealing that Gu Yuena was ready to begin her plans for Phoenix King.

  • Medicine Elder told Phoenix King that he would need to cultivate a martial soul and soul rings before he could perceive Battle Qi, and criticized Douluo Continent’s reliance on hunting Soul Beasts.
  • Medicine Elder explained that martial soul quality largely determined a human’s cultivation potential, leaving most people with weak or trash martial souls.
  • Phoenix King asked whether his beast nature would let him condense soul rings himself, and Medicine Elder and Di Tian agreed to wait until he awakened his martial soul.
  • Di Tian said Gu Yuena had instructed them to begin once Phoenix King was ready, and he hoped Phoenix King and Gu Yuena could produce a powerful dragon-phoenix descendant.

Ch. 3Medicine Elder's Advice: Wait Until She's Grown

Medicine Elder warned Di Tian and the others not to arrange a future match between the Phoenix King and Gu Yuena until the three-year-old Phoenix King had grown up. At the Lake of Life, Gu Yuena affectionately embraced him, and Medicine Elder began preparing to help the Soul Beasts develop their Battle Qi.

  • Medicine Elder told Di Tian that the Phoenix King and Gu Yuena should wait until the Phoenix King was at least eighteen before having a child.
  • Di Tian argued that the Soul Beasts had different customs, but Medicine Elder covered his mouth before he could finish.
  • At the Lake of Life, the Auspicious Beast asked Medicine Elder to make more pills, and he promised to provide the best ones.
  • Gu Yuena appeared in human form, hugged the Phoenix King, and told him to grow up so she could give him little dragons.
  • Medicine Elder asked whether the Soul Beasts had been able to sense Battle Qi.

Ch. 4Soul Beasts Cultivating Battle Qi, and the Phoenix King's Confusion

Medicine Elder studied whether Battle Qi could let Soul Beasts regain god-level strength, while Gu Yuena urged the Phoenix King to avoid Spirit Hall and proposed having Dragon Phoenix children with him. The Phoenix King remained confused by Gu Yuena’s eagerness and kept his past life as a transmigrator secret.

  • Xiong Jun visited Medicine Elder and acknowledged that Battle Qi had strengthened the Soul Beasts, though Di Tian still outmatched them all.
  • Medicine Elder explained that Di Tian might regain god-level combat strength through Battle Qi and continued researching the Soul Beasts’ path to power.
  • Gu Yuena warned the Phoenix King to stay away from Spirit Hall and asked him to recruit talented people for the Soul Beast revival plan after awakening his Martial Soul.
  • Gu Yuena told the Phoenix King that she wanted children with him once he became an adult, hoping to create powerful Dragon Phoenixes.
  • The Phoenix King wondered why Gu Yuena was pursuing him so openly and decided not to reveal that he was a transmigrator.

Ch. 5Medicine Elder Improves Baji Fist and the Timeline

Medicine Elder adjusted Phoenix King's Baji Fist training and offered him two cultivation techniques after explaining that the Douluo Continent lacked the Heavenly Flames needed for the Flame Mantra. Phoenix King learned that he was born years before Tang San and resolved to grow strong enough to stop him and oppose the Divine Realm.

  • Gu Yuena encouraged Phoenix King to grow, and Medicine Elder told him to practice an improved Baji Fist suited to his developing body.
  • Phoenix King asked about learning the Flame Mantra, but Medicine Elder and Gu Yuena explained that the Douluo Continent had no Heavenly Flames.
  • Medicine Elder offered Phoenix King the Three-Flower Fire Gathering Technique and the resource-intensive Fire Building Technique, and Phoenix King said he wanted to become a great alchemist.
  • Phoenix King asked Di Tian for the year and learned it was 2624 in the Douluo Calendar, about ten years before Tang San's birth.
  • Phoenix King decided to get stronger quickly so he could cripple Tang San before he became a god, and he considered how the Star Dou Forest's Ferocious Beasts could handle Tang Hao.

Ch. 6Considering Which Cultivation Technique to Practice in the Future?

Medicine Elder explained the Fire Building Technique and Three-Flower Fire Gathering Technique to the Phoenix King, who weighed their resource costs and benefits before choosing a future cultivation technique. Medicine Elder then mentioned that he had another, very difficult technique, leaving the Phoenix King to consider his options.

  • Di Tian recalled that a human sect's martial souls could release formations, and Medicine Elder criticized Douluo Continent's dependence on martial souls.
  • Medicine Elder described how he had switched from the resource-intensive Fire Building Technique to the difficult but foundation-building Three-Flower Fire Gathering Technique.
  • The Phoenix King considered the two techniques and judged that the Burning Mantra would be of little use without Heavenly Flames.
  • Medicine Elder explained the Fire Building Technique's resource demands and the Three-Flower Fire Gathering Technique's slow, arduous progress and strong breakthroughs.
  • Medicine Elder told the Phoenix King that he had another cultivation technique, but warned that it was very difficult.

Ch. 7Battle Venerable, an Earth-rank Cultivation Technique, and Artificial Flames

Medicine Elder showed Phoenix King an Earth-rank cultivation technique and its matching staff technique, explaining their difficulty and the power they could offer. Though the techniques could benefit from rare flames, Medicine Elder assured Gu Yuena and Di Tian that artificial flames were possible, and said Phoenix King should focus on building his foundation first.

  • Medicine Elder revealed the Earth-rank Victorious Fighting Buddha technique and warned Phoenix King that he could not guide him through it.
  • Medicine Elder showed Phoenix King the Earth-rank mid-level Ruyi Staff Technique and described its three realms and its synergy with Heavenly Flames or Beast Fire.
  • Phoenix King questioned whether flames from Douluo Continent could bring out the staff technique's full power, and Gu Yuena worried about finding suitable flames.
  • Medicine Elder explained that artificial flames and imitation Heavenly Flames could be created, while Di Tian offered to gather fire-attributed Magical Beasts.
  • Medicine Elder told Di Tian to wait and said Phoenix King should build a solid foundation before they made artificial flames.

Ch. 8Gu Yuena's "Dream"

Gu Yuena claimed she had dreamed of an Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well in Sunset Forest and asked Di Tian and Medicine Elder to investigate it with her. Phoenix King recognized that the location could give Tang San the Immortal Herbs he needed, and worried that finding it would preserve Tang San’s future.

  • Medicine Elder told Phoenix King he would provide an artificial flame after Phoenix King reached the Dou Zhe level.
  • Gu Yuena said she had dreamed of hearing dragon clansmen wailing near an Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well in Sunset Forest.
  • Gu Yuena persuaded Di Tian to search the forest, and he agreed to report back if he found anything.
  • Gu Yuena asked Medicine Elder to stay beside her while Di Tian investigated, and he agreed.
  • Phoenix King realized the well’s Immortal Herbs could help Tang San become a god and feared that Gu Yuena’s search could protect Tang San’s future.

Ch. 9Reborn, Di Tian Arrives

Reborn Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan decided to keep the Immortal Herbs and recruit the Breaking Clan rather than trust Tang San. As they prepared to leave, Di Tian arrived and claimed the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well for his own side.

  • Di Tian set out for Sunset Forest to investigate.
  • Dugu Yan told Dugu Bo that Tang San’s poison treatment had ultimately led to her death and accused him of wanting the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well for himself.
  • Dugu Yan suggested they use their Immortal Herbs to evolve their Martial Souls and recruit the Breaking Clan.
  • Dugu Bo agreed to seek out Yang Wudi and left with Dugu Yan.
  • Di Tian confronted Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan, ordered them to leave the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, and threatened their lives.

Ch. 10Di Tian's Thoughts

Di Tian overwhelmed Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, then spared them only after binding them to serve the Soul Beasts. He entered the spring, sensing that the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings might be inside.

  • Dugu Bo tried to persuade Di Tian to leave the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well alone, but Di Tian dismissed his appeal and revealed his immense strength.
  • Di Tian’s aura pressed Dugu Yan to the ground, and Dugu Bo realized Di Tian was a Demigod-level Soul Beast.
  • Dugu Bo begged Di Tian to spare Dugu Yan and offered his poison abilities in exchange for their lives.
  • Di Tian agreed to spare Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan if they swore to serve the Soul Beasts for the rest of their lives, and both took the oath.
  • Di Tian entered the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well after sensing his uncle and aunt, the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings, inside.

Ch. 11Ice and Fire Dragon Kings: Di Tian!

Di Tian found the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ remains beneath the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well and learned about the dragon race’s decline. Gu Yuena, Medicine Elder, and the Phoenix King set out to move the well to Star Dou Forest, while Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan were ordered to go with Di Tian.

  • Di Tian found the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ souls beneath the spring and told them that only he, Zi JI, and their lord remained of the dragon race.
  • The Ice and Fire Dragon Kings learned about Medicine Elder and the Phoenix King, then entered Di Tian’s spiritual world and asked him to tell the Silver Dragon King to move the well.
  • Di Tian told the Silver Dragon King that he had taken Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan as slaves, and she ordered him to keep them and prepare for her arrival.
  • Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan worried about their fate until Di Tian ordered them to accompany him to Star Dou Forest and promised to spare them if they obeyed.
  • Gu Yuena, Medicine Elder, and the Phoenix King set off to move the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, hoping to keep it from humans and deprive Tang San of the Immortal Herbs.

Ch. 12Moving the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well—Medicine Elder's Test

Medicine Elder and the Soul Beasts moved the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well to Star Dou Forest, then Medicine Elder recruited Dugu Yan for experiments on how Soul Rings formed. Dugu Yan agreed to cooperate in exchange for protection for herself and Dugu Bo, and Medicine Elder began examining her Soul Rings.

  • Medicine Elder judged the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well modest compared with treasures from Dou Qi Continent, while Gu Yuena decided to move it before humans could claim it.
  • Phoenix King asked Medicine Elder what to do with Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan, and Medicine Elder allowed them to stay because they might be useful.
  • Di Tian moved the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well to Star Dou Forest and confined Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan outside the forest.
  • Medicine Elder summoned Dugu Yan to Lake of Life and asked her to help him study how Soul Rings formed after Soul Hunting.
  • Dugu Yan agreed to cooperate if Medicine Elder protected her and Dugu Bo, then showed him her two low-age Yellow Soul Rings for examination.

Ch. 13The Phoenix King's Confusion, Dugu Yan's Premature Birth

The Phoenix King questioned Dugu Yan about her birth year and realized she had been born earlier than she was in her previous life. He then asked Medicine Elder to investigate Dugu Yan’s hereditary poison, hoping to cure her and secure the Dugu Family’s loyalty.

  • The Phoenix King brought fruit while Medicine Elder explained his theory that Soul Rings came from Soul Beast inner cores and could potentially be obtained without killing the beasts.
  • The Phoenix King asked Dugu Yan what year she was born, and her answer made him realize she had arrived earlier than the original timeline suggested.
  • The Phoenix King asked Medicine Elder whether he could use the Immortal Herbs to make better pills and treat Dugu Yan’s poisoning.
  • Dugu Yan explained that her family’s Martial Soul carried poison and that she used a Spirit Bone to contain it, a temporary measure that would eventually fail.
  • Medicine Elder recognized that the Dugu Family’s poison problem needed investigation, while the Phoenix King admitted he wanted to cure Dugu Yan and gain the family as subordinates.

Ch. 14Treating the Root

Medicine Elder explained that the Dugu family’s inherited poison likely came from an ancestor’s incompatible poisonous Soul Ring rather than their Martial Soul itself. He offered to remove the poison with his Heavenly Flames, leaving Dugu Yan willing to cooperate and hoping her grandfather could be treated too.

  • Dugu Yan asked why Medicine Elder had no feet, and he explained that he was a remnant soul who had died long ago.
  • Medicine Elder argued that the Dugu family’s poison could not have been present since their Martial Soul first appeared, since the family had survived for hundreds of years.
  • Medicine Elder proposed that an ancestor’s poisonous Soul Ring had clashed with the family’s Martial Soul and caused poison to accumulate and pass down through generations.
  • Medicine Elder offered to use his Heavenly Flames to remove Dugu Yan’s poison if she and her family cooperated.
  • Dugu Yan asked whether Medicine Elder could also help her grandfather, and he assured her he would treat the Titled Douluo as well.

Ch. 15Shocked! More New Changes

Phoenix King asked Snow Empress and Ice Empress for news from the human world and heard that Yu Xiaogang had been kicked out of Spirit Hall's library. The timing confused him because Yu Xiaogang should have left Spirit Hall four years earlier, leaving him to wonder what had happened.

  • Phoenix King left Medicine Elder and went to check on Snow Empress and Ice Empress.
  • Snow Empress reminded Phoenix King to train his body despite his inability to cultivate Battle Qi.
  • Phoenix King asked the two empresses for news about the human world, especially Bibi Dong and the major factions.
  • Ice Empress told Phoenix King about the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and Yu Xiaogang's poor Martial Soul and low Soul Power.
  • Phoenix King questioned why Yu Xiaogang had been kicked out of Spirit Hall's library, since he believed Yu Xiaogang had left Spirit Hall four years earlier.

Ch. 16Something Is Wrong

Phoenix King wondered whether his and Medicine Elder’s arrival had changed events, while Snow Empress and Ice Empress discussed Yu Xiaogang, Qian Renxue, and the missing Blue Silver Emperor. The chapter ended with Ice Empress condemning Ah Yin as a traitor to the soul beasts.

  • Phoenix King suspected that he and Medicine Elder had caused a butterfly effect, pointing to Yu Xiaogang’s delayed expulsion from Spirit Hall and Dugu Yan’s early birth.
  • Snow Empress urged Phoenix King to explain what was troubling him, but he kept his suspicions and concerns about Gu Yuena to himself.
  • Snow Empress described how Yu Xiaogang had formed the Golden Iron Triangle with Liu Erlong and Flender after leaving Spirit Hall.
  • Phoenix King asked about important births at Spirit Hall, and Snow Empress recalled that the Pope had a young daughter named Qian Renxue.
  • Ice Empress asked about the hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor, and the narration identified her as Ah Yin and branded her a soul beast traitor.

Ch. 17Reborn Golden Iron Triangle

Reborn Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Liu Erlong decided to build their own future after remembering how Tang San left them behind when he ascended to the God Realm. They planned to have a gifted child, claim opportunities they remembered, and establish a new Shrek Academy to oppose Spirit Hall.

  • Snow Empress and Phoenix King discussed how a God King born from a human and Soul Beast had failed to change the Soul Beast world's cultivation system and instead brought disaster upon Soul Beasts.
  • Reborn Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Liu Erlong recalled that Tang San had ascended to the God Realm without bringing them along.
  • Yu Xiaogang proposed having a gifted child with Liu Erlong and using their knowledge of Immortal Herbs and Dugu Bo's treatment to seize opportunities before Tang San was born.
  • Flender agreed to help raise their future child, expose Qian Xunji's crime against Bibi Dong, and recruit Qin Ming.
  • Yu Xiaogang and Flender decided to establish a new Shrek Academy and vowed not to accept Tang San and the other former students.

Ch. 18Reincarnators of Spirit Hall

Spirit Hall’s reincarnated leaders confronted Bibi Dong over her past-life betrayal, crippled one of her Martial Souls, and expelled her. They then turned their attention to Yu Xiaogang and discussed how to ruin Tang San’s future.

  • Qian Xunji and Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluo accused Bibi Dong of betraying Spirit Hall, while Bibi Dong defended her past-life actions and her relationship with Xiaogang.
  • Subduing Demon Douluo, Golden Crocodile Douluo, and Qianjun Douluo condemned Bibi Dong for aiding Spirit Hall’s enemies and endangering the organization.
  • Qian Daoliu crippled one of Bibi Dong’s Martial Souls, expelled her from Spirit Hall, and declared that she had no connection to Xiao Xue in this life.
  • Qian Xunji proposed that Yu Xiaogang repay Spirit Hall one hundred million Gold Soul Coins and be exposed for allegedly plagiarizing its theories.
  • Yue Guan warned that Yu Xiaogang could ruin Tang San if he became his master, and the assembled Douluo agreed to waste Tang San’s talent.

Ch. 19Everyone: Eliminate Him in Advance

Spirit Hall’s Titled Douluo elders planned to prevent Tang San from threatening them again, even considering stopping his birth by killing his mother, Ah Yin. Qian Daoliu agreed to abandon some of his chivalrous principles and reconsider Qian Renxue’s upbringing and the Nation-Stealing Plan.

  • Demon Bear Douluo proposed killing Ah Yin before she met Tang Hao so Tang San would never be born, or would be weaker if he were born.
  • The elders agreed that Spirit Hall should locate Dugu Bo and seize the Immortal Herbs, using force if he resisted.
  • Subduing Demon Douluo declared that anyone helping Tang San would be Spirit Hall’s enemy and urged Qian Daoliu to stop insisting on honor and chivalry.
  • Light Feather Douluo and Subduing Demon Douluo reminded Qian Daoliu that Spirit Hall’s and the worshipper families’ legacies mattered more than following rules against their enemies.
  • Qian Daoliu agreed to give up some of his principles for Spirit Hall’s sake.
  • Mighty Lion Douluo criticized the Nation-Stealing Plan and urged Qian Daoliu to let Qian Renxue cultivate until she became a god; Qian Daoliu agreed to reconsider.

Ch. 20The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect

After Bibi Dong was cast out of Spirit Hall, Ning Fengzhi reunited with the reborn Sword Douluo and Bone Douluo. The three planned to strengthen the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect by claiming the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, but they debated how to deal with its protector, Dugu Bo.

  • Qian Daoliu stripped Bibi Dong of her ties to Spirit Hall, expelled her, and had notices posted exposing her relationship with Yu Xiaogang and his theft of Spirit Hall records.
  • Spirit Hall residents condemned Bibi Dong and investigated Yu Xiaogang, learning of his weak martial soul and his role in the Golden Iron Triangle.
  • Ning Fengzhi reunited with the reborn Chen Xin and Gu Rong and explained that he had died after their sacrifices, later watching Tang San's marriage and Rongrong's life with Oscar.
  • Gu Rong proposed taking the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well and its Immortal Herbs to strengthen the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and Chen Xin supported the plan as a way to rival Spirit Hall.
  • Ning Fengzhi warned that Dugu Bo protected the well and proposed winning him over while seeking the herbs.
