Background / History
Tang Hao was the partner of Ah Yin, the Blue Silver Emperor, and father of Tang San and Tang Xiao. During their flight from Spirit Hall, Ah Yin sacrificed herself to save Tang Hao and their newborn child. Her sacrifice gave Tang Hao a 100,000-year ninth spirit ring, enabling him to wound Qian Xunji and escape. 24
Afterward, Tang Hao abandoned his eldest son, Tang Xiao, in the wilderness because the infant possessed soul beast bloodline and had not inherited the Clear Sky Hammer martial soul. Tang Xiao survived as a young Blue Silver Grass and later awakened as the Supreme Blue Silver Emperor. 1 7 23
Tang Hao kept Ah Yin, reduced to Blue Silver Grass, imprisoned beneath a divine-power seal near the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. When Ah Yin reacted angrily to his admission that he had abandoned Tang Xiao, Tang Hao left her confined and refused to let her revive. 6 7
Personality
Tang Hao is intensely proud of his strength and reputation as the Clear Sky Douluo. Before the Strongest Power Ranking revealed him at fourteenth place, he expected to rank among the top ten and dismissed lower-ranked combatants as insignificant. 22
He is portrayed as selfish and cruel toward his family. He considered Tang Xiao's soul beast bloodline a disgrace, abandoned him as an infant, and later expressed regret only that he had not killed him. 7 33 His actions toward Ah Yin—benefiting from her sacrifice while restraining her afterward—lead Ah Yin and Tang Xiao to condemn him as hypocritical. 23 25
Following his Heavenly Dao rewards, his confidence becomes open arrogance; he declares himself the world's true master and believes the Blue Silver Empire cannot threaten him. 26 His defeat by Tang Xiao finally leaves him despairing and conscious of his actions as retribution. 35
