The outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest.
"Honestly, you've had your fun these past two days. We've been stopping and starting, and it took us two whole days to get here."
Liu Erlong turned to look at Tang Yuehua and complained about Jiang Ce.
For the past two days, Jiang Ce hadn't taken the proper road at all. He'd been busy tormenting Tang Yuehua's clone, teasing and training her real body over and over.
"What did you say, Big Boobs Dragon?"
Jiang Ce let out a cackling laugh. Phantom Dragon Impact.
Liu Erlong's body shook like a sieve.
"Stop! Haven't you had enough?"
"Of course not, my Anti-Magic Ninja captain."
"You really are beyond saving."
Liu Erlong clutched her stomach and glared fiercely at her own chest.
"Enough. Go find your own prey. Yuehua, it's time you started fighting, too."
"Yes, teacher."
Tang Yuehua was in high spirits—
If you ignored the little way she kept rubbing her thighs.
Tang Yuehua's first opponent was a four-thousand-year-old Iron-Armored Savage Bull.
Jiang Ce suppressed its age to a thousand years and added no enhancements, letting her experience combat from the very basics.
After all, Tang Yuehua had never been in a fight before. She was even less experienced than Ye Yingling.
She had barely steadied herself when the Vibration Egg on the White Tiger Dagger jolted. Her legs nearly gave out on the spot.
The Iron-Armored Savage Bull took advantage of her distraction and lowered its head to charge. Its horns grazed her waist, ripping a tear in the Black Latex Suit that healed the next second.
"Don't stop. An Anti-Magic Ninja has to keep fighting even after being run through on the battlefield."
Tang Yuehua gritted her teeth and swallowed her cry of pain. Venom compressed in her hand into two threads as fine as hairs, which shot out and wrapped around the bull's forelegs. She yanked hard.
The bull beast toppled to the ground. Tang Yuehua steadied her breathing amid the vibrations, then curled the five fingers of her right hand. The threads sliced through the bull beast's throat.
She'd won.
Her legs were still trembling, but she had really won.
Joy flashed in Tang Yuehua's eyes—she'd finally experienced real combat herself.
"Want to give your weapon a name?"
Jiang Ce surged out of her chest and transformed into tentacles.
The threads were harder than Cold Heart Iron Essence, with the dual properties of restraint and cutting.
"Then I'll call them Moon God Silk."
"Good name. It has an elegant quality to it. These things are so fine they're almost invisible, yet sharp as knives. They can strangle, control, defend, restrain, and set traps."
"Use my disguise ability to blend them into the surroundings, and even a Super Douluo won't notice them. Train until you can control ten. That should be enough for now."
"They require considerable control to use perfectly. Otherwise, you'll hurt yourself along with your enemies."
"Thank you for the advice, teacher."
She raised her hand and looked at the threads connected to her fingers. Once she used the disguise ability, the threads blended into the surroundings and became invisible to the naked eye.
This was undoubtedly the perfect killing move.
Over the next few days, she controlled ten strands of Moon God Silk at once, spread the Noble Sanctuary to suppress killing intent and fighting spirit, and used the strands' far ends to cut.
She trained herself to keep her Mental Power steady under extreme stimulation, using the Vibration Egg's jolts.
Several times, she nearly dropped to her knees, but her fingertips stayed steady as the threads sliced through Soul Beasts' throats.
On the third day, using power restricted to a thousand-year level, she hunted four Soul Beasts of around eight thousand years.
Under the Sanctuary's shroud, the Soul Beasts lost their fighting spirit. They couldn't even tell where she was before invisible threads sliced them to pieces.
After confirming that she had mastered the technique, Jiang Ce gradually lifted the restrictions, letting her draw on more power.
After all, her Martial Soul problem still hadn't been solved, so for now she could only borrow the Symbiote's abilities.
In the middle of a forest clearing, Tang Yuehua unfolded the Noble Ring Domain, stripping her opponent of its killing intent and wariness.
She spread her ten fingers slightly. Moon God Silk shot out without a sound, weaving a web of ten transparent threads that sealed off every escape route for the Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Beast.
She gently curled her right hand, and the threads tightened all at once. The Soul Beast's limbs were bound, freezing it in place.
Then she controlled the beast like a puppet and made it fight another Soul Beast.
The two Soul Beasts fought back and forth, until the other one was finally bitten to death.
Tang Yuehua watched it all from atop a towering tree in the distance.
"Control."
She softly spoke the name of an ability her teacher had suggested, and that she had eventually figured out for herself—
Using Moon God Silk to control enemies and make them fight.
Her right hand clenched abruptly. All ten threads pulled at once, slicing the controlled Soul Beast into dozens of pieces, each cut as smooth as a mirror.
"Fighting with threads suits your temperament. Later, you can develop them into woven traps to ensnare a group of people."
"Yes, teacher."
Tang Yuehua withdrew the threads, a hint of eager anticipation flashing in her eyes.
In another forest clearing, Ye Yingling was having a grand time.
She conjured a staff, looking just like a gentle support Soul Master who stayed at a distance and tossed out healing spells.
A leopard-like Soul Beast pounced from the side, trying to cut off the back line. Ye Yingling didn't even turn her head. She swung her staff backward.
The Soul Beast took a blow to the head and went flying, crashing through several trees before dying on the spot.
She chased after the remaining Soul Beasts, hurling a string of ice, fire, lightning, wind, and rock blasts at them from a distance,
while swinging her staff with her right hand to knock away any Soul Beast that tried to ambush her.
She'd had her fill of playing Battle Soul Master a while ago.
Jiang Ce had told her to try a different role,
so she'd become a mobile artillery platform, blasting everything in sight.
Her Soul Power consumption was entirely covered by the Heart of the Earth.
Standing on the ground restored two percent each second. With her support Soul Skill on top of that, she never ran out of mana.
Anyone who tried to cut off the back line would find this artillery mage swinging her staff like a spiked club and knocking them flying.
It was more fun than you could imagine.
Deep in the forest, Liu Erlong's fighting style was completely different.
Venom formed arm guards over her arms, and her hands transformed into five dark-gold dragon claws.
A fifty-thousand-year-old Red Armor Earth Dragon had just charged out of its lair when she pinned its head down with one claw and smashed it into the earth. Dirt and rocks exploded outward.
The dragon beast swept its tail across. Liu Erlong dodged to the side and slammed her right fist into its flank. The dragon-claw blades pierced its scales, sinking all the way to the hilt.
She lifted the entire beast and smashed it against a rock wall like a sandbag, then dragged it back and smashed it again.
Fragments of its scales flew everywhere. Its struggles went from violent to feeble, until at last its limbs twitched and it collapsed on the ground.
Liu Erlong planted a foot on its head and pulled the dragon-claw blades from between its scales, drawing out a string of thick, sticky blood.
"It didn't even get a chance to fight back. Pathetic."
She dragged the corpse into its lair and searched through it. She found two or three Soul Bones, a small pile of gold coins, some ore, and medicinal herbs. The more she rummaged, the darker her expression grew.
"This guy was so poor! It had fewer gold coins than the loose change I picked up last time. If we compared them at the same age, it'd be way poorer than the Red Flame Earth Dragon."
"Maybe this one was good at saving money."
"Saving money, my ass. It was just lazy. It lived that long, so it could've collected a few things here and there. Then I'd be rich!"
Liu Erlong had practically turned into a little miser.
Whenever she killed a Soul Beast, she had to find its lair and turn it upside down.
Unfortunately, this time she hadn't found much.
She put the Soul Bones into her Storage Soul Tool and kicked aside the loose stones at her feet.
After searching for several days, Jiang Ce had accumulated years by devouring Soul Beasts and advanced to seventy thousand years.
Liu Erlong had also successfully advanced to level sixty.
"We still haven't found that Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear you mentioned."
"Then let's keep looking. Maybe we really can get a Conceptual Skill out of it."
Liu Erlong nodded.
Dragon Beast Nemesis—if the opponent was a dragon, it was countered.
Soul Beasts on the Douluo Continent had all evolved from ordinary animals under the influence of the Silver Dragon King's aura. Sooner or later, they all carried at least a trace of dragon energy.
That meant almost every Soul Beast would eventually be countered by this skill.
Jiang Ce had even said that this conceptual ability
would definitely come with something utterly unreasonable.
If I say you're a dragon, then you're a dragon!
And if you're a dragon, I'm going to kill you!
That way,
she'd see everyone as a dragon.
And she'd counter them all.
Suddenly,
a roar exploded from deep within the forest.
It was a bear's bellow. The shockwave shook the leaves from the surrounding trees.
A flash of light appeared in Liu Erlong's eyes. She shot toward the sound like a golden streak of lightning.

[Yeah, Jiang Ce's Anti-Magic Ninja lewdness is for him alone. He won't give anyone else a free show. When there are people around, the Black Latex Suit gets a few layers thicker. When no one's around, though—hehe.]
