Background

Jiang Ce reincarnates as a black, liquid-like Venom symbiote in the Douluo Dalu world, decades before the main plot. Seeking a powerful “mount,” he encounters Liu Erlong while she is being pursued by an 8,000-year Red Flame Earth Dragon. He saves her, enters her body, and establishes their symbiotic connection. His initial offer is direct: power in exchange for her serving as his host. 1

By sharing his abilities, Jiang Ce pushes Liu Erlong from level 26 to level 29 almost immediately. After she kills the Red Flame Earth Dragon, he devours its corpse, copies its abilities, and begins using soul-beast devouring as the foundation of their growth. 1 2

As his cultivation rises, Jiang Ce expands from a single-host symbiote into a multi-body entity. The acquisition of Fission allows him to create independent bodies, shift his consciousness between them, and parasitize additional hosts. Ye Yingling, Tang Yuehua, Queen Medusa, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, Zi Ji, and the Silver Dragon King subsequently become connected to his symbiote network. 8 13 18 22 32 34
