• Cheng Xiao exposed Yu Xiaogang’s flaws at Shrek Academy, then left with Zhu Zhuqing after she withdrew from the school.
• Tang Hao ambushed Cheng Xiao and Zhu Zhuqing, but Cheng Xiao fought back with his Shadow Legion and the Evil God Orb.

After raising the fallen as Shadow Soldiers and considering a path to godhood through faith, he faced accusations in Pope’s Palace as Bibi Dong ordered Spirit Hall to retaliate.

• Cheng Xiao bargained with Gu Yue for two years of protection and learned her name, then returned to the Ye estate as Yue Guan confronted Dugu Bo and Ye Renxin.

When the Beast Tide surrounded Spirit City, Cheng Xiao escaped, warned Ye Lingling’s family, then returned to fight as the city’s defenders faced the overwhelming soul beasts.

• Cheng Xiao revealed his powerful soul rings and Shadow Soldiers in the Pope’s Palace, then ordered Yegrit to kill Salas after Salas attacked him.
• Qian Daoliu stopped Cheng Xiao from leaving Spirit Hall and confined him in Worship Hall, where Cheng Xiao revealed his martial souls and agreed to become Golden Crocodile Douluo’s disciple on the condition that his freedom remained unrestricted.
• Bibi Dong arranged an engagement between Cheng Xiao and Hu Liena to gather powerful factions in Spirit City and make them help fight the Beast Tide.

Cheng Xiao overcame his reluctance to help Spirit City and led the Shadow Legion against Di Tian’s Beast Tide. After Gu Yue captured the Sky Azure Bull Python, Cheng Xiao persuaded it to cooperate with his Spirit Soul method, but his attempt to corrupt its soul ring failed.

• Bear Lord severely wounded Chen Xin, while Golden Crocodile Douluo and the other defenders struggled against the ferocious beasts attacking Spirit City.
• Di Tian killed Yu Yuanzhen, demanded that the city surrender Cheng Xiao, and forced Qian Daoliu to fight while Cheng Xiao refused to summon the heroes’ remnants.
• After seeing the grieving crowd call for the Saint Son and Ye Lingling refuse to abandon the wounded, Cheng Xiao raised the dead and led the Shadow Legion into battle.
