After Tian Ling won the competition, Mu En and his allies challenged Yi Yi, and their battle escalated when Yi Yi killed Yu Yuanhao and reinforcements joined the fight.

• Jing Chen bought the Spirit Devouring Engraving Knife, and Yi Yi absorbed its evil resentment and divided its Life Gold with him.
• Tian Ling Advanced Soul Master Academy completed the group stage undefeated, and Jing Chen negotiated a year of study at Mingde Hall in exchange for the Humanoid Soul Tool.
• Jing Chen bought the Ice Jade Scorpion Soul Bone for the Snow Empress, who absorbed it and gained Ice Burst.
• Jing Chen and the Snow Empress led Tian Ling past Heaven Soul Royal Academy and Star Luo Royal Academy, securing the final-four spot and the tournament victory.
• Mu En gathered Tang Chuan and Yu Yuanhao to challenge Yi Yi outside Star Luo City, while Jing Chen watched the fight from inside Yi Yi.

Yi Yi defeated the Title Douluo who attacked it, then forced the Star Luo Emperor to make its surviving opponents face it in duels. Jing Chen and the Snow Empress advanced Tian Ling to the finals, where they began battling Shrek Academy.

• Jing Chen sacrificed his life force to restore Yi Yi, which broke free of Mu En’s seal and killed the attackers with its spatial abilities.
• Yi Yi killed Tang Chuan, the fleeing Star Luo Title Douluo, and finally Mu En, then recovered in the Time and Space Divine Tower with Jing Chen.
• Yi Yi confronted the Star Luo Emperor with soul bones proving the attackers’ deaths and demanded that he honor his promise to punish their accomplices.
• Yi Yi threatened to destroy Star Luo City unless the Emperor accepted one-on-one duels, then killed Ning Feng and the remaining Shrek Title Douluo.
• The Star Luo Emperor apologized to Shrek Academy and the affected sects, while the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan accepted compensation and plotted to make the empire pay later.
• Titan confronted the Star Luo Emperor over the Clear Sky Sect’s dead, while Niu Tian refused to leave the sect to hunt Yi Yi and Titan agreed to wait for the beast to come to them.

Jing Chen led Tian Ling Advanced Soul Master Academy to victory over Shrek, then traveled to Mingdu to study Soul Tools while building an alliance with Ju Zi. After helping Ju Zi obtain a soul ring, he returned to Snow Empress and Yi Yi to hunt a Hundred-Thousand-Year soul beast for his own fifth ring.

• Jing Chen defeated Shrek's fighters, but Ma Xiaotao transformed into a Dark Phoenix before Snow Empress defeated her and Shrek forfeited the remaining matches.
• Jing Chen accepted the tournament awards, objected that the soul bones were too weak, and then vanished with Snow Empress after the Prime Minister defended the prizes.
• Jing Chen searched the Star Dou Great Forest, captured a Space Unicorn and two Time Butterflies, and gained a fifty-thousand-year right arm soul bone.
• After Du Busi attacked Shrek Academy, Jing Chen arrived in Mingdu and began studying Soul Tools at Sun Moon Royal Academy, where Xuan Ziwen accepted him as a student.
• Jing Chen accompanied Ju Zi to Jingyang Mountain Range, shared their desire for revenge against the Star Luo Empire, and fought Iron Bone Snakes to protect her.
• Jing Chen revealed that he had staged the snake attack to win Ju Zi's gratitude, then helped her obtain an eleven-thousand-year Silver Moon Fox soul ring.

As Shrek’s allies prepared to seize the Dou Ling Empire, Tang San discovered Huo Yuhao’s condition and sent Titan and Niu Tian to rescue him in Wu Ling City.

• Jing Chen absorbed the Ice Demon Flood Dragon’s soul ring, reached Soul King level, and gave its left leg soul bone to Snow Empress before visiting the Ice Jade Scorpion clan.
• Jing Chen promised Ju Zi help against Dai Hao and gave her six soul bones, then learned that the Ice Empress had successfully rebuilt her body and reached strength equivalent to a Rank 99 powerhouse.
• The Dou Ling Emperor asked Jing Chen for help against three rebellious states, and Jing Chen sent the Ice Crystal Turtle King to assist while secretly allowing the conflict to weaken the empire.
