Background / History

Yang Shelly was born into a collateral branch of the Breaking Clan’s Yang Clan in Long Xing City. Although she did not inherit the clan’s Soul Breaking Spear bloodline, she followed its philosophy of “Break”: abandoning defensive and ornamental techniques to pursue overwhelming offensive power. Her inherited scythe martial soul was initially of only modest quality, though stronger than an ordinary low-grade martial soul. 169 175

She met Ling Yi shortly after his arrival in Long Xing City. Drawn to his appearance, temperament, and unusual presence, she introduced herself as a Level 32 Soul Grandmaster and quickly became interested in him. 167

After teaming with Ling Yi in the Dragon Rise Soul Arena, Shelly began traveling with him.
