He destroyed the Heavenly Star Pavilion to protect her, then joined her and her friends on an outing to Moonfall Gorge, where he suspected her Dao companions of plotting against her.

• Ye Lin followed the purple-gowned woman to Black Wind Mountain, where Black Mountain Old Monster asked him to free her and warned that Yue Qingyi would die if the restriction remained.
• Ye Lin used the Hand of Heaven and spent 300 million luck points to shatter Black Wind Mountain’s barrier, then freed Yue Qingyi and left as powerful figures converged.
• Ye Lin encouraged Yue Qingyi to keep living, and she traveled with him as her health improved and her death tribulation fell.
• Ye Lin killed the Heavenly Star Pavilion cultivators pursuing him and joined Liu Feng in attacking their sect to protect Yue Qingyi.

Ye Lin watched Yue Qingyi survive her first tribulation only to face another, then shielded her from it and disappeared while recovering. As the Demon-Monster Realm invaded the Earth God Realm, Ye Lin regrouped with his companions in the Great Qin Imperial Capital, cultivated to the seventh Golden Immortal layer, and encountered Know-All as the great battle approached.

• Yue Qingyi vanished in a Phoenix Nirvana after taking the blood-red lightning for Ye Lin, and Ye Lin later learned she had survived and guarded her transformation for years.
• When Yue Qingyi awakened as a Golden Immortal, Ye Lin learned the Heavenly Dao planned to kill her with a World-Destroying Thunder Tribulation, then kept her company for three days before taking her place in the calamity.
• Yue Qingyi learned Ye Lin had been gravely injured shielding her and searched for him, while Ye Lin recovered in seclusion and watched the Demon-Monster Realm conquer the Eight Wastelands.
• Ye Lin reunited with Wang Tian, Li Xiaoyao, and Gu Qingzhi as the invasion reached the Great Qin Imperial Dynasty, and Qin Unrivaled opened the capital’s gates to welcome Ye Lin and his companions.

Ye Lin fought the Demon-Monster Realm’s forces, collected merit for Know-All, and secured Enlightenment Stones before leading his companions through the passage into the enemy realm. After crossing the Bitter Sea on a giant beast, they reached a city where the demon-monsters seemed interested in eating them.

• Ye Lin bought a rare stone-essence bead and gave it to Xinyou, then refused Know-All’s offer to fund him in exchange for Heavenly Dao merit.
• As the passage opened, Qin Unrivaled rallied the cultivators against the demons and monsters, and Ye Lin joined the battle to collect merit.
• Ao Guang arrived with the East Sea Dragon Clan and told Ye Lin that the Four Seas Dragon Clan had been compelled to help the Demon-Monster Realm.
